About: Hi! I’m an animal lover who’s been around pets my entire life. I cared for my Labrador for 14 years, from the time I was 5 years old until he recently passed away. Through every stage of his life—from his energetic puppy years to caring for him as a senior—I learned how much patience, love, and trust mean when it comes to our pets. I’ve also pet sat for multiple neighbors with both dogs and cats, including large breeds, small breeds, puppies, senior pets, and shy or anxious animals. I’m comfortable with feeding, walks, playtime, brushing, cleaning litter boxes, cleaning up accidents, administering oral and ear medications, and following detailed care instructions. I also volunteered with WhiskerTown through PetSmart, where I helped care for adoptable cats and spent time socializing them while they waited to find their forever homes. About: I've had the privilege of not only helping care for my family’s previous and current dog but also the pets of others. When I lived with my family and we would occasionally watch over our friend's dog in our home so I would help care for a dog then! I've also done in home dog sits with a variety of dogs. I personally have an English bulldog named Capone, he is 5 years old and I make sure when I am not spoiling him I am keeping track of his health, and making sure he is happy in his home. About: Besides taking care of my own precious miniature schnauzer growing up, I have looked over dogs for several families for the past 10+ years with services including boarding, walks, visits and doggy day care for all kinds of breeds. I had to be inactive on rover for a couple of years due to moving but happy to be back! I have also worked as a receptionist/assistant at a Veterinary clinic where I interacted and looked over many different breeds that passed through or stayed over night. During this time I also learned a lot about how to assist dogs with medical issues and important signs of needing urgent care. I have a deep love for all kinds of animals, dogs (& cats!) especially, and would be more than happy to take care of your furry friends just as I would my own! I am more than happy to answer any questions that you may have and will always make sure your dog is happy, comfortable, and well looked after :) I can adjust my schedule to their wake up/meal times as well. On the weekends, I can take them out to dog friendly spaces if that is something they enjoy 😊 Before any stay, I make sure everything is set up for your pup’s arrival and try to make them as comfortable as possible. I have a dog gate to prevent them from getting out or from going anywhere I can’t keep an eye on them. For stays or visits, I don’t take any dog out off leash for walks and I make sure to put on their leash securely before opening the door. If they will be left alone for any reason, I will generally place them in their crate for their safety unless you are comfortable with them being out. I currently work part time and am usually home all day on Mondays and Fridays, and most of the day on weekends. I'm able to adjust my schedule to accommodate your pets routine better and would also be able to take them with me sometimes! Before any stay, I make sure everything is set up for your pup’s arrival and try to make them as comfortable as possible. I have a dog gate to prevent them from getting out or from going anywhere I can’t keep an eye on them. For stays or visits, I don’t take any dog out off leash for walks and I make sure to put on their leash securely before opening the door. If they will be left alone for any reason, I will generally place them in their crate for their safety unless you are comfortable with them being out. As a note, I live in a second floor apartment with my boyfriend (also a huge dog lover that has grown up with dogs). There are stairs and elevator if it is hard for your pup to get up the stairs. We also have a patio that has a pretty high railing, so it is safe, but if I bring your pup out there then they would be leashed and accompanied at all times to ensure their safety.
