Although I don’t have a dog of my own, I’ve cared for friends and family dogs on multiple occasions and have experience helping with walks, feeding, playtime, and giving them lots of attention and affection. I live in a dog-friendly apartment community with access to a fenced dog park and plenty of areas for walks. I also have two other roommates who are comfortable around dogs and help create a welcoming environment. When caring for dogs in my home, I focus on providing a safe, calm, and loving space where they can stick to their normal routine as much as possible. I’ll make sure they get regular potty breaks, exercise, playtime, fresh water, meals according to your instructions, and lots of attention and affection. My goal is to help every dog feel comfortable, happy, and at home during their stay.

Through my work, I’ve cared for dogs of all breeds, personalities, and energy levels while handling feeding, medications, potty breaks, cleaning, walks, and daily care routines. I’m currently out of work for the summer (elementary teacher), so I have plenty of time to spare to care for, play with, and give loads of pets to your furry family member! For my drop-in service, the first thing that you can expect me to do is get to know the pup that I will be taking care of for you (sniffs, gentleness, and patience). Once your pet is comfortable, I will stick to the routine you give me. Morning walks before breakfast? Bathroom break after dinner? I will do exactly that! Of course, I will spend some time playing with them and petting them, if they want me to, before leaving. I will never push your dog outside their comfort zone, and I will always respect their homes too.

About: Besides taking care of my own precious miniature schnauzer growing up, I have looked over dogs for several families for the past 10+ years with services including boarding, walks, visits and doggy day care for all kinds of breeds. I had to be inactive on rover for a couple of years due to moving but happy to be back! I have also worked as a receptionist/assistant at a Veterinary clinic where I interacted and looked over many different breeds that passed through or stayed over night. During this time I also learned a lot about how to assist dogs with medical issues and important signs of needing urgent care. I have a deep love for all kinds of animals, dogs (& cats!) especially, and would be more than happy to take care of your furry friends just as I would my own! I am more than happy to answer any questions that you may have and will always make sure your dog is happy, comfortable, and well looked after :) I can adjust my schedule to their wake up/meal times as well. On the weekends, I can take them out to dog friendly spaces if that is something they enjoy 😊 Before any stay, I make sure everything is set up for your pup’s arrival and try to make them as comfortable as possible. I have a dog gate to prevent them from getting out or from going anywhere I can’t keep an eye on them. For stays or visits, I don’t take any dog out off leash for walks and I make sure to put on their leash securely before opening the door. If they will be left alone for any reason, I will generally place them in their crate for their safety unless you are comfortable with them being out. I currently work part time and am usually home all day on Mondays and Fridays, and most of the day on weekends. I'm able to adjust my schedule to accommodate your pets routine better and would also be able to take them with me sometimes! Before any stay, I make sure everything is set up for your pup’s arrival and try to make them as comfortable as possible. I have a dog gate to prevent them from getting out or from going anywhere I can’t keep an eye on them. I work as a Medical Assistant from Monday to Friday until 5:00 PM, so I have full availability for evening walks and night visits during the week. Weekends are my days off and I have full availability for day care or long stays (boarding). My work in the health area makes me an extremely punctual and organized person with food and medicine schedules.
