I had an amazing experience with Morgan over the Christmas break. She took excellent care of my diabetic cat, ensuring he received his insulin and even administering UTI medication when we discovered he was had a mild UTI. Her attentiveness and care were exceptional, and I would absolutely use her services again!

Liz was great watching my cats! She sent me lots of pictures and spent plenty of time with them to make me feel comfortable while I was away! She even got my shy cat out of her shell in just two visits which made me so happy to see while I couldn’t be there with them. Great communication from her and overall just such a great help while I was gone.

About: I've grown up in a family surrounded by animals, even beyond dogs and cats, and now live on my own with my two beautiful kittys. It would be my pleasure to take care of your dogs, as I miss spending time with the ones that live with my family. I'm used to having animals of all ages and sizes, with special dietary restrictions, intense attention requirements, and specific health issues, so very few things will be enough to deter me from taking care of your babies. My job incurs a lifestyle which has me leave work relatively early, so I should have no problem being there for your pet by 3:00 P.M. at the latest every weekday and saturday (I typically don't work sundays at all). Adapting to the setting of your house is no problem for me, and so long as your pet is comfortable there I should have no issues looking after them in whatever way you'd like. As long as instructions are clear and concise, your pet will be well taken care of while I'm there.

Andy was an incredible sitter for our cat, Lincoln. He was highly responsive throughout the entire process, and he provided thorough check-in summaries with pictures, which really helped ease any concerns about our pet while out of town. Lincoln is not always the nicest to newcomers, and Andy did a great job navigating Lincoln’s defensiveness

I am very fortunate to have found Yang to take care of my girls for a week. Yang was extremely kind, trustworthy, communicative, caring, responsible, prepared, thoughtful and generous. In our meet and greet she brought a notebook, connected with my cats and asked great questions before leaving. She offered to bring her own brush to groom my one cat, wore shoe covers to keep my place clean and even brought her own litter bags to take away each day. The level of detail and attention she provided throughout the whole experience was something I have never experienced from a pet sitter and the genuine bond she formed with my cats made me exceedingly assured, content and happy knowing they had her presence and care while I was away. I can’t recommend Yang enough and will pick her as my sitter going forward.

About: Here’s what you should know before booking with me: - I’ve been on this app since May 2023 - I’ve been caring for dogs since I was 14, and I love them. They're one of my favorite animals, and I always treat them with patience and gentleness. - I can let you know how many pets I’m currently looking after if you’d like. - I usually reply pretty quickly, so feel free to reach out anytime! - I’m all about spending quality time with your pet. Whether it’s backyard playtime, walks around the neighborhood, or visits to the park, let me know what your pet loves most! - Crates are only used if requested by the pet owner. - I pay close attention to whether it makes sense to separate pets, and we can chat about this when you book. - I’ve got 4 years’ experience caring for cats. - I’ve given injections to dogs before, and if there’s anything specific I need to know for other pets, I’m happy to learn! - Need pet pickup or drop-off? I might be able to help depending on how far you are, and we’ll work out the details together. - I don’t offer grooming services. - Pet bath is not free. Before we book, just a heads-up that I’ll need a photo showing your pet’s up-to-date shots (including rabies). Can't wait to meet your pet! Since I’m around for most of the day at home, I can make sure they’re well taken care of, entertained, and feeling loved while you’re away. At my place or at the owner’s house, I always make sure to give pets the love and care they deserve by providing them with food, fresh water, and plenty of playtime. I also make it a point to follow their instructions on feeding, giving medication, and tending to any special needs. I believe it's important to make the pets feel at ease and secure while also honoring their owners' rules and routines.

About: I've been taking care of animals since I was 5 yrs old, owning cats, dogs, birds, fish, a python, guinea pig, and a blue poison dart frog. I went to ranch camp in Nebraska to ride and take care of horses. For sitting, I've looked after dogs, cats, birds, hamsters, lizards, and rabbits. I've worked overnight at a kennel for a year which included walking dogs, playing with cats, feeding, and cleaning up: blood, vomit, urine, and stool. I worked at a Veterinary hospital for 8 years. I am NOT a Vet, but I am comfortable with medicating pets, post surgery care, seniors and pets with disabilities. I've saved field mice, chipmunks, squirrels, raccoons, salamanders, and bees. During the spring and summer, I house and nourish caterpillars until they turn into butterflies. Then they are released into the wild. I am available during the week, weekends, and holidays, and would be more than happy to accommodate your schedule. Occasionally, I have my own appointments or family events, but will work with you to avoid any scheduling conflicts. I believe that trust, love, compassion, transparency and common sense are all required in animal care. Both you and your fur baby should be comfortable and trust your sitter. If time allows, I prefer meet and greets to ensure a proper fit. If a pet isn't comfortable with a sitter while their parents are around, they most likely won't be comfortable while their parents are away. I believe it is important to acknowledge and understand your pet's body language and needs. A pet is not just an animal, it's your family, and should be treated as such with care and respect. I will comply with your feeding/relief/medication schedule, because it's important to keep your baby on their own routine to avoid confusion, stress, and bowel issues. I currently have a male senior cat who enjoys being an only child, so I am unable to care for other pets at my house, but am happy to take care of your munchkins in your own beautiful home.

About: I’ve been caring for dogs for over five years, and I have two small dogs of my own that I love. I’m organized, responsible, and attentive, and I provide each dog with personalized care, walks, and playtime. I also prioritize clear communication with owners, just as I appreciate when someone cares for my own pets. I’m available all week, including weekends. Just reach out and we can discuss your schedule. I kindly ask owners to be honest about their pets’ needs and behavior so I can provide the best care and avoid any issues during their stay. I prefer to care for pets at my home, where I can provide a safe and comfortable environment. I offer boarding only for small dogs, as I live on a 2nd floor, and I have a backyard where pets can play at least twice a day, along with neighborhood walks. My goal is for every dog to have a happy and enjoyable stay. For any specific details or questions, feel free to contact me.

About: Grew up with big, middle, and small dogs, cats, and other animals (birds, chickens, rabbits, turtles) my entire life. I believe dogs & cats are a special part of the family and I will make sure they are taken care of by playing fetch, getting belly rubs, and going on walks :) I have experience as a dog and cat sitter. Previous experience for in-home services. I like to make sure you are sent photos of how much fun your fur baby is having and leave the house spotless. Also experience with walks Throughout the day. Even on rainy or snowy days, I was outside walking the dog and then making the best out of the rest of our time. My full attention is always toward your fur baby. I am available AM, PM, and overnights weekdays and weekends, 24/7. All hours are flexible and I am more than happy to work out the schedule that works best for you and your loved one. I am an elementary school counselor so I’m off in the summer. I’m looking forward to spending my summer with your fur baby. I enjoy hiking, reading, and crafting. Please feel free to ask any questions. I want to ensure you that your loved one will be safe, loved, and have a fun time! I like to treat each family the way I would want my fur baby to be treated. Lisbeth went above and beyond last week. When we noticed Monty’s timer feeder hadn’t opened on our ring camera, we were able to get in touch with Lisbeth quickly who stopped by the house to feed Monty and determine the issue (low batteries), then returned later that day for her usual visit. Thank you Lisbeth for caring for our furball while we were away!

We hired Genesis to take care of my elderly mother’s cat who is also elderly and relies on Thyroid Meds. My mom really wanted to go away but was reluctant to leave her cat as the cats brother had died in June and both Mom and Cat where grieving. Genesis put my mom at ease and sent regular pictures. We really appreciated it. Would definitely hire her again.

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for Cat Sitting in Prospect Park on Rover is $21.09 per visit (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Cat Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Cat Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

As of July 2026, there are 11,805 sitters on Rover offering Cat Sitting across Prospect Park. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Prospect Park. On Rover:

  • 87% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 92% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 96% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
