“Elizabeth is Amazing! Very thoughtful and professional. Our cats really liked her. They were well cared for while we were away. We will definitely hire Elizabeth again!”

“Taylor was able to drop in and check on our dog last minute! She came to meet him ahead of time and was great giving him a walk and his meds! She is great and even left a light on for him.”

“Wonderful! Julia provided great service and peace of mind. I was put at ease with her immediately and did not worry about my cats during our week away. The daily check-ins were admired by my children (who missed their pets tremendously) and I was impressed by the care displayed during an unexpected weather event. I will book with Julia again!”

“Asher is wonderful!! She was so sweet with my senior cat, and he really liked her, too! He's usually very shy, so I was so pleased with how she handled him. And she sent me pictures and a full report each time she dropped in - her communication was amazing! I highly recommend her services!”

“She did go above and beyond at doing drop in with my dog it was her first time I left her with someone she dint know and my dog was not happy the first few drops she did but did keep coming back till my dog decided to warm up to her at least enough to go on a walk”

“Tabitha is a fantastic cat sitter! She always goes above and beyond to make sure they are safe, fed, and cared for. We are so thankful to have Tabitha to update us on our boys when we are away. I can't say enough good things about her!”

About: I’m a lifelong dog lover who has owned a beagle, golden retriever, and most recently our beloved German shepherd. I’ve been dog sitting and walking for over 20 years and truly enjoy spending time outdoors with dogs. I treat every dog like my own and focus on keeping them safe, happy, and well exercised. I work from home, which gives me a flexible schedule and allows me to easily fit pet care into my daily routine. I enjoy getting outside for walks throughout the day, so caring for dogs fits naturally into my schedule. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I make sure to follow their usual routine as closely as possible so their pet feels comfortable and secure. I provide plenty of exercise, attention, and affection, while also making sure they have fresh water, food, and a safe environment. I’m happy to send updates and photos so owners know their pet is doing well.

About: I’ve been an animal lover my whole life—ever since I was a toddler, there’s always been a dog or cat by my side. I have a special soft spot for dogs and cats, and friends and family have trusted me to care for their furry family members while they’re away. I’ve cared for senior dogs, including administering medication with patience and love, and I treat every pet like they’re part of my own family. I know how stressful it can feel leaving your pet with someone new. My goal is to give you peace of mind by treating your pup or kitty with the same care, routine, and affection they get at home. I work full time, but I’m available for walks and drop-in visits Monday–Friday from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM, and I’m free anytime on weekends for walks, drop-in visits or overnight stays. I don’t just see pets as another booking on my calendar. I see them as family members who deserve patience, attention, and care. After years of pet-sitting, I’ve learned that every animal has their own personality, routine, and needs—and I take the time to make sure each one feels understood and loved. f you need your mail checked, packages brought in or plants watered Im more than happy to do that for you. I’ll respect your home and any rules you have as if it’s my own.
“Joanna was fantastic, I felt so comfortable on my trip knowing she was taking care of things back home. She gave my girl her meds every day, and got her outside and moving!”

“Lauren was awesome on drop in visits and walks for us. Great communicator who let us know about a plumbing issue that arose while we were gone. We were very happy we booked again with her.”

About: I grew up with multiple pets, we often called it the "Cook Family Zoo". I've helped take care of many cats, dogs, turtles, fish and even ferrets at one point! I currently have two dogs a terrier/cattle dog mix and a German shepherd/lab mix puppy! They both are rescues and love to cuddle. I volunteer with a local dog rescue and am a proud foster fail. :) I’m passionate about protecting all furry friends and finding the perfect home for each loving animal. I love all animals, big or small, and do my best to be flexible and communicate with you quickly and thoroughly. I hope you will consider me to help take care of your loved ones and I will be sure to give them lots of love while you're away. Currently working full time but have availability on weekends and most evenings to help out! I also have flexibility at work so depending on your needs can make drop in visits and walks during the day. I work from home occasionally too so I can usually be flexible as needed. If visiting your home I would respect your wishes around routine training, diet and behavior. I typically provide photos and/or text updates of your pet so you know they’re doing well and we’ll looked after even when you’re not able to be there!
“Miranda was so amazing with our boys. Hank (boxer) is too excitable for most people but she handled him with care and love and wasn't turned off by his hyper behavior. Hibbert (bulldog) would bring his toys to her and enjoyed being around her. She is smart, punctual, and you can tell just loves animals.”

“We’ve used Ashlea for our high energy puppy as well as our 2 cats and she did a great job! Even when the puppy has some excitement pee problems, no issues 😅 she’s very communicative, punctual, and even helped us out for extra house care duties because of an emergency. Completely dependable :)”

“I had never used a dog sitter before and was hesitant. I felt good after meeting Justin but, wow! He exceeded all expectations. He came 3 times a day for 9 days. Played ball with Roscoe, took him for walks, and made our absence very easy for him. Even my neighbor commented how impressed she was with Justin. Highly recommend if you need expert, compassionate care for your pet.”

“Shaine took care of a feral cat that I have been caring for over the last eight years. Feral cats choose people not the other way around. It was obvious from how close this cat came to Shaine that she is good people. I would recommend Shaine for simple or complicated pet sitting needs.”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
