About: I started in the veterinary field at the age of 15 as a kennel technician and cross trained in the clinic as a veterinary assistant. I then went to school for animal/veterinary science and graduated with valuable skills and education. After school I went into zookeeping where i cared for a variety of taxa including but not limited to carnivores and hoofed animals. After leaving the field and changing careers, I became a foster home for Oh My Dog Rescue based in the Des Moines IA area. As a Retail Manager my schedule is not consistent however I guarantee that I will check on your animals a minimum of twice per day unless otherwise agreed upon. I do best house/petsitting for clients who leave detailed instructions and emergency contacts. I bring structure and high quality care to the table in every home I enter.

About: I’ve grown up around dogs and have always loved caring for them, always helping my mom and sister with their own dogs. I’m comfortable with dogs of different sizes, personalities, and energy levels, and I enjoy giving them plenty of attention, playtime, exercise, and companionship. I treat every dog like they’re part of the family and want them to feel safe, happy, and well cared for while you’re away. 🐶❤️ I am currently a student at Simpson College but I live in the Des Mois area. My classes only run until about 11am-12pm, so I am free most of the day! I also would be available for early morning drop-ins. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I focus on keeping their normal routine as consistent and comfortable as possible. I follow their feeding, walking, playtime, and medication instructions, while also giving them plenty of attention and companionship. I’m respectful of the home and make sure everything is left clean and just as I found it. Most importantly, I take the time to get to know each pet and their personality so they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while their owner is away.

Most notably, I’ve been a consistent caretaker for two energetic black labs for the past 8 years. I’ve also cared for fish, turtles, hamsters, guinea pigs, and a bearded dragon. If you think I’d be a good fit for your furry (or scaly!) family please reach out! Since I have a full time job, I’m able to provide care anytime in the evenings and on weekends, and if your pet is able to do longer stretches alone in the home I would be a great fit for you! I work 7:30-4 Monday-Friday in Urbandale (if you’re close to that area I am more than willing to spend my lunch breaks with your pet). Once I’m back from work for the day I am ready to play! Coming home to an animal friend is one of the best feelings, and I want to give your pet all the love possible! I feel very comfortable being away from home. I love getting to help families keep their animal loved ones in a place they are familiar with. Whether you have a fenced in yard or no yard at all, I always get play time in every day. I love watching pets’ personalities blossom in their own space.
