About: I’ve owned seniors dogs, puppies and everything in between. Jack Russell Terrier to English Mastiff. I’ve also owned cats with diabetes that required insulin daily, neurotic quirky animals we’ve had to adapt to, chickens, goats, sheep, bearded dragons and other reptiles. We are an active family and Hilo goes most places with us. However, there are times he must stay home in his covered kennel or inside depending on weather. I have 5 years professional pet sitting experience and I been a dog mom to large dogs for 10+ years. Brian has been a dog parent to large dogs for 30 years. We are always the person that my friends, co-workers and neighbors come to when their dogs or cats need care. We both love spending time outside in nature, hiking, and keeping an active lifestyle your pet will enjoy. We do not own any pets, so we are always looking forward to having new companions to welcome into our home. Your dog's sleeping arrangement: We to keep your dogs patterns as close to the way they are at home as possible. If your dog sleeps in their own bed or crate we will honor that. Typically their bed is in our room or the living room. We allow dogs on our bed, and have a dedicated dog couch so they can relax in the living room and are treated like a member of the family. My partner Brian’s schedule has recently changed so we can only board weekends, or possibly over a long weekend: We can take a Friday evening drop off at 5pm earliest, and can schedule a Monday morning pickup until 10 am or so. We live in a quiet, low-traffic beach neighborhood of Aptos, with a front and back fenced in yard, a two minute walk to a dog friendly beach, and 5 minute drive to a redwoods state park. The backyard is shared with my awesome neighbor who own a dog. The backyard has a fence that is split down the middle, and he is kept on his side of the fence. He is only let outside occasionally, under supervised conditions. We do not allow guests dogs into the backyard when he is present, until we have had time to properly introduce them. He is friendly, but we always take care to introduce dogs. Our front yard has a low fence so our guest dogs are only allowed in the front yard under supervision, the backyard has a much higher fence, and we have a sliding glass door so they can go outside easily. We can crate your dog if needed. Both yards have shade, flower gardens, and are wonderful places to take a nap in the sun.

Whether your dog needs a peaceful walk, consistent leash guidance, or a good run, I bring calm, confident energy and real experience. Some dogs thrive on variety! If you’d like your pup to enjoy the beach, trails, or a park, I offer 1hr adventure outings starting at $120. This includes transport up to one hour drive time round trip, a safe and fun outdoor experience, and drop-off back home. Extra driving is billed at $60/hr (not including my own commute). I have a high-energy cattle dog of my own, so daily walks, playtime, and structure are built into my routine. I really enjoy getting to know your pet and giving them the personalized care, attention and exercise they need. Currently I am the mother of a 5 month old German Shorthaired Pointer and have grown fond of walking her and would like to expand my passion and skills to other doggies. About: I used to be a part of “Guide Dogs for the Blind.” You were pre screened, trained, and I had dogs overnight. It was very rewarding! I have 2 medium sized dogs as well. I have time for pet care as I am working a part time job that only takes up 4-6 hours of the day. I LOVE getting my steps in along West Cliff and having a companion for the walk is always a plus! I am free on weekends too and am willing to set scheduled times for walking or house check ups. I’ve had dogs since I was young and am very familiar with this care.
