About: I’ve grown up around animals my whole life from large to small. From the time I was born we have always had a dog. All three were raised from the puppy stage so I have experience with all age dogs. I also grew up with a rabbit when I was younger and have been around cats all my life also. I am currently working with a very flexible schedule and mostly part time. I have the possibility to adjust my schedule as needed if something comes up. About: As a lifelong dog lover, I’ve been caring for dogs since childhood, growing up with Labrador Retrievers and learning firsthand the importance of patience, consistency, and affection. My single-story home has a large, fenced yard where your dog can roam freely to play, take a sunbath, or chase butterflies. My 32 lb dog, Prema, will keep your dog company on daily walks and at home. The home has a doggie door, so your dog is free to roam in the house and outside. The doggie door is locked at night. Ideally, you would supply you dog’s favorite bed (although we have extras) a collar and leash, and preferred food with instructions on feeding timing, amount, etc. I want your pet to feel happy, safe, and have fun while here. 🦮

She writes a detailed report at the end of each visit so we know the care and love our cats received! She also fed our wild birds! Melanie also sends many photos of cats, food and litter boxes. She gets better photos of my cats than I do! We highly recommend her for the care of your fur babies!! She also accommodated us when we had a kink in our travel, delaying our arrival home. Your dog's sleeping arrangement: We to keep your dogs patterns as close to the way they are at home as possible. If your dog sleeps in their own bed or crate we will honor that. Typically their bed is in our room or the living room. We allow dogs on our bed, and have a dedicated dog couch so they can relax in the living room and are treated like a member of the family. My partner Brian’s schedule has recently changed so we can only board weekends, or possibly over a long weekend: We can take a Friday evening drop off at 5pm earliest, and can schedule a Monday morning pickup until 10 am or so. We live in a quiet, low-traffic beach neighborhood of Aptos, with a front and back fenced in yard, a two minute walk to a dog friendly beach, and 5 minute drive to a redwoods state park. The backyard is shared with my awesome neighbor who own a dog. The backyard has a fence that is split down the middle, and he is kept on his side of the fence. He is only let outside occasionally, under supervised conditions. We do not allow guests dogs into the backyard when he is present, until we have had time to properly introduce them. He is friendly, but we always take care to introduce dogs. Our front yard has a low fence so our guest dogs are only allowed in the front yard under supervision, the backyard has a much higher fence, and we have a sliding glass door so they can go outside easily. We can crate your dog if needed. Both yards have shade, flower gardens, and are wonderful places to take a nap in the sun.

My dog is getting older so he's usually good for about 3 miles and can't really do strenuous hikes. He loves the beach so we also take a late morning beach walk. Aromas also has a lovely dog park now, so if your pup is social that's a fun place to go. For more athletic dogs, there are some incredible hiking trails in this area. Afternoon chores start normally around 5, when I walk the property and feed and check on my goats and emus. This is more play time for your fur baby, as we watch the sunset and settle in for the night. Where does your pet sleep? They are welcome on the furniture or my bed. I also have extra dog beds for those pets who like their space. I have a completely fenced yard with plenty of space to roam. With the exception of a couple of 2-3 hour windows 2 to 3 days per week, your pet is never alone. I do have stairs so if your pet needs help going up and down, I will block the stairs so there are no accidents.

About: I’ve got experience dog-sitting, and dog-walking, as well as living with dogs and love when I get the chance to take care of them. I’ve had a dog my entire life until her recent passing and have loved and cared for all animals even before I got one. I’m incredibly comfortable with dogs of all sizes, types, and temperaments. This includes sick dogs with medication, senior pups, and various exercise needs. I have saved my dog from a life-threatening attack and provided intensive care, so I work well in a potentially contentious environment. I’m a full time student but my schedule is incredibly loose. I get to choose when I work on my senior project and go to class so I’m available whenever essentially. I only have to be in class Monday and Wednesday from 5-7! Other than that feel free to schedule me. I have a wonderful medium sized fenced yard and live close to Westlake park which has ample grass and play area. About: For walks: I'm very experienced at dog waking. I can handle big and small dogs. I can move at any pace on walks including running. I like to let the dog set the pace. I will typically ask owners what commands they use with their dogs so I can help keep them trained and have them heel on walks. I always avoid other dogs just in case. And on hot days I plan my walks in advance and leave water out for the dog on the route before I start the walk. For drop ins and sitting: I will comfort your dog while you are away as well as feeding them, walking them, and playing with them. I can also give medications orally, but I can't inject any medications. I'm currently a student and since all my classes are online, I will have plenty of time for your pets. I'm free every day, but Thursday and I'm not free Saturday after 6pm I will comfort your dog while you are away as well as feeding them, walking them, and playing with them. About: I've taken care of dogs since I was 14 for friends and family and took them on walks, fed them, gave them baths and played with them. im currently a student at Cabrillo College and I play softball so pet care will really be exciting to bring into my every day life because its a stress reliever to hangout with dogs. About: I love dogs and I love taking them out and about on walks! I have taken care of many dogs from the age of 2 to 16. My most recent experience includes taking care of senior dogs. I am currently a teacher on summer break so I have lots of time on my hands to dog sit and take dogs on walks! I take care of pets in clients homes by ensuring the dog has all of its needs met.
