“Savannah provided prompt and thoughtful care for my cat. I really just needed someone to check the food and litter box but she went way above that. Giving pets and brushings to her and even going so far as to cleaning up a mess my cat made! I will happily book Savannah again for my next trip!”

“Katelynn is attentive, accommodating, and flexible! She was always on time, and very patient while I worked through how Rover worked lol. My cat is super skiddish and shy but through her kind heart she got her to come out and be the sweet girl she is ? My husband and I looked forward to her updates every day. Would love to book her again and refer her to a friend!”

“She was so wonderful watching our cat, Cheddar and letting us know if packages arrived. She made sure our house was secure and that Cheddar was well loved while we were gone!”

“Bethany was absolutely amazing with my dog, Cleo! She was very communicative the entire time and sent tons of photos, which eased so much of my anxiety while I was visiting friends and spending the whole weekend at Disney. She did everything I asked her to do and went above and beyond. Since I wasn’t from the area and couldn’t do a proper meet and greet, she even offered to FaceTime beforehand which I appreciated so much. Her thoughtfulness and reliability made the entire experience stress-free! I’m SO thankful for her and would highly, highly recommend booking Bethany!”

“I live on a boat and Rover was the best app to find someone to take care of my dog and cat while I needed to go out of town for a few days. I met Renee and Keith and the entire time I was away out of town, I never worried. I received photos and could tell my pets were safe and fine and received extra love while I was gone. If you choose Renee and Keith, your pets will be just fine while you’re away and can feel secure they will be fine and just enjoy your vacation with no worries.”

“Denise has taken care of our dogs, Zelda and Tucker, several times—she always does a wonderful job! I feel completely at ease being away from home, knowing that they are well cared for.”

“We had Nancy come for a drop in visit to let our pup out for a potty break while we were away from home for the day. She took time to make sure he went #1 and #2 and even played fetch with him to let him get some energy out! I love her check ins and photos she provides in a timely manner! I (and my pup) definitely recommend!”

“Megan was amazing with our pup. We had her stop by our home a few times a day to check on our 8 week old puppy. She was attentive, caring, and went about and behind to make sure our baby was well taken care of. She fed, played with and even bathed him when he had an accident in his crate. We could not be happier with the level of care she provided to Ares. I highly recommend Megan to anyone looking for a dog sitter. Thank you Megan!”
“Britney is awesome. We will continue to use her over and over again. I feel like she spends time with my kitties and makes sure they are all well taken care of while we are gone.”

“Caitlyn saved our 4th of July trip and made sure Nova didn't feel alone while we were gone. Walks daily, always updated if she ate or went potty. It made me feel so much better for my 1st time hiring a dog sitter.”

“Melissa is amazing. Johnny got comfortable with her quickly and he was so happy when she was there to take care of him. The fact that Johnny trusted and liked her made me know that she is awesome!”

“Chrystal was amazing! We needed a sitter last minute and she was so flexible with helping us out. Each visit she provided multiple pictures and details about how each kitty was doing. One of my cats is a little shy and salty and Chrystal did a great job tailoring the care to her! We definitely will be using her again!”

“Kadence was a wonderful sitter for my cat! She was great at communicating, timely, and always sent pictures. My cat was delighted to see her and always looking well loved and petted in the photos.”

About: I have four dogs ranging from small to large. I got my first dog in 2018 and added on since. I’ve spent a lot of time training my dogs teaching them commands, going on walks and finding activities that are exercising their minds. I have two bunnies as well, if you know anything about bunnies, you know that they can sometimes be a lot of work. I wouldn’t change it for the world. I love all of my animals and I will love yours just as much as mine. I currently stay at home as I am focusing on college. This allows me to care for myself, my pets, and now your pets. I am available all hours of the day, for walking or drop in visits with your furry friends! I do not personally have pets that come to my house since I do have dogs and bunnies of my own. In your home I believe dogs are more comfortable in their own environment. Any instruction you give me on how to take care of your pet is going to be strictly followed. Every pet that I care for will get love will get enriching activities will get exercise taken on walks food and water, which is all very bare minimum for pet sitter.
“Katie was very dependable, loving and patient with our two pups that have never been left before. The pictures she sent told a story of dogs who felt very taken care of and happy despite our absence. I would highly recommend her for your pup that may be a bit on that timid side. She handled the dogs amazingly.”

About: I fortunately have 6+ years experience working in the veterinary field and I’ve also been pet sitting for 10 years, for close friends, family, neighbors, and colleagues of mine. I can take care of special needs pets, giving oral or injectable medications and changing diapers or applying creams. I got you covered! I’m currently part-time at my job so I have ample time for play dates, walks, sleep overs, whatever your pet care needs may be! I have a large fenced in yard, treats for both dogs and cats, toys for both dogs and cats, and a medium size crate if needed I can provide for those of our furry friends who are crate trained.
“Ashley is awesome! We had something last minute pop up, Ashley was very accommodating with her schedule and was able to fit us in! She’s a great communicator and took great care of our boy. She went above and beyond to care for him and ease our minds with a new routine! We have an older dog and while he has some challenges, Ashley was understanding and patient with both our pup and our long list of special care instructions. We will 10000% be using Ashley again!!”

Savannah provided prompt and thoughtful care for my cat. I really just needed someone to check the food and litter box but she went way above that. Giving pets and brushings to her and even going so far as to cleaning up a mess my cat made! I will happily book Savannah again for my next trip!

Katelynn was amazing! She was flexible when I had to adjust my booking with her twice. Always very responsive and friendly. Our cat, Biscuit, requires some extra attention due to his diabetes and she cared for him with amazing care. I’d book her again every time we travel!

Monica is a star, I cannot express how much I appreciate all she does for the kitties and for us. We get to enjoy our time away from home so much more just because of her and what she does. I'm not trying to be exaggerated. I'm just saying that I can see the difference when I have tried other sitters and they don't come even close to her. Thanks!

Breanna was friendly and personable when we met and she took great care of my cats while I was away for a weekend. Breanna went above and beyond to prepare canned food for them every/most evenings and swept the areas after. I would confidently book Breanna for any future pet-sitting needs!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Port Saint John. On Rover:

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
