About: I’ve been around animals pretty much my whole life, and caring for them is something that comes naturally to me. I know how much love and attention pets need (and deserve!), and I’m all about making sure they get that while you're away. Whether it’s taking an energetic dog on a long walk or playing with your cat’s favorite feather toy, I’m up for it. I adore animals of all ages and all sizes! My flexible work schedule means I’m available during the work week and my weekends tend to be completely available as well. I keep my Rover calendar as up to date as possible and you can always check my availability. Need someone overnight? I’ve got you covered! I’m a huge animal lover and would treat your pet as if they were my own. I know how important it is to find someone you trust, and I’d love to be that person for you and your pet. I’m free most weekends and have a lot of flexibility with my schedule! I can accommodate with at least two days notice given for those last minute trips or conferences. Let me help you :) At meet and greets, I like to go over all the care instructions for your animal and ask about any additional questions or concerns you may have. If you have written instructions or can send them virtually, I’ll follow them all with care and consideration.

About: I have always owned dogs and considered them as family. I have taken care of family and friends' dogs for about 20 years now and I have always treated them as if they were my own. I work full time, but only 2 or 3 days a week depending on the week. Therefore I'm free about 5 days a week and my schedule is flexible. Also, I live with my parents and sister and whenever I need to run errands, the pups never stay alone. I have a 20x30 yards, fenced back yard. I make them play for a while, feed them as instructed per the owner. If small enough, I let them sleep with me, if allowed by you.

About: As a child raised on a farm, I developed a natural ability to nurture and care for animals of all kinds. For as long as I can remember, I have provided my pets with everything they need to thrive. I have owned several dogs and cats over the years. I make sure they remain happy and healthy. This includes administering treatments when necessary, bathing them regularly, trimming their nails, keeping up with vaccinations and medical checkups, and providing plenty of affection and companionship on a daily basis. Taking care of animals comes naturally to me. I not only provide for their basic needs, but I also establish a loving bond with my pets through consistent care, grooming, attention, and of course walks and treats. The wellbeing of the animals in my care is of the utmost importance to me. Pet care is completely integrated into my daily routine and responsibilities. From the moment I wake up, my focus is on ensuring the needs of my pets are met. Each morning begins with filling food and water bowls, cleaning litter boxes, and walking the dogs. My farm animals also require daily attention in terms of feeding, watering and letting them into their specific areas. Throughout the day, I am constantly checking in on my pets, refilling water, playing with them, and providing comfort and companionship. If any of my pets show signs they are unwell or need to see a vet, I make that my top priority and will rearrange my schedule accordingly to take them to appointments. Even during the nighttime, I am there for my pet and their needs and listen for any sounds that would indicate they want to go outside or need something. Their wellbeing and happiness comes before anything else in my routine. No matter what else is going on in my day, my pets always receive the time, care and love they deserve from me. As a dedicated pet caregiver, I provide for all the needs of the animals under my supervision. Whether at my own home or a client's residence, my focus is always on ensuring the pets remain happy, healthy, and well behaved. I allow the pets outdoor access at regular intervals, taking them for walks when needed. Basic hygiene is a priority, so pets receive routine grooming that includes baths and nail trimming. I play with the animals frequently to and provide lots of affection, hugs, and praise to make sure they feel loved. Their diet is closely monitored. I prepare fresh food and change water dishes regularly. I also secure away objects that could pose a hazard if left where a pet could access them. Regular vet appointments are scheduled to check them out and keep them up to date with everything. I take the pets to parks and other open spaces for fun. My role as a pet caregiver ensures all needs are met and the animals remain comfortable and content, whether at my own residence or under my supervision at a client's home. The pets' happiness and wellbeing are my top priorities.

About: I have experience working at a doggy daycare, where I cared for dogs of all sizes by supervising play, walking, and bathing them! I’ve also been dog walking and pet sitting for the past 5 years. I’m comfortable with different temperaments and energy levels, and I focus on keeping every pet safe, happy, and well cared for. I stand out for my reliability, attention to detail, and the extra effort I put into learning each pet’s routine and personality so they feel comfortable while you’re away! Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine since I work from home and have a flexible schedule. I’m able to give pets consistent attention throughout the day, whether that’s walks, playtime, or just keeping them company. I also live an active lifestyle, so I enjoy staying active with dogs through regular walks and exercise, making it easy to keep them happy, engaged, and well cared for. I provide care based on each pet’s routine, whether in my home or my client’s. This includes feeding, walks, playtime, and lots of attention, while keeping their environment clean, safe, and comfortable.

About: I’ve been passionately caring for and training dogs since I was 11 years old. I have hands-on experience with pups of all sizes, energy levels, and personalities—from large breeds like German Shepherds and Husky mixes to small companions like Malteses. Additionally, I have professional experience working as an Animal Care Specialist and volunteering for the Lee County Animal Shelter, so you can trust that your furry best friend is in safe, capable hands! I have a highly flexible, work-from-home schedule! Since my job is remote and my classes are online, I am available around the clock for care, playtime, and walks. This also means I can be very accommodating with your drop-off and pick-up times to make your trip as stress-free as possible. Safety and comfort are my absolute top priorities. If your pup stays with me, they will spend most of their time indoors in a clean, pet-proofed environment, with plenty of access to a fully fenced backyard for supervised playtime and potty breaks. I have two incredibly friendly and well-trained dogs of my own—Shadow (5) and Koa, a 50-pound Husky mix (2), who make excellent playmates for dogs of all sizes. Thanks to my professional background working as an Animal Care Specialist, I am highly experienced in reading dog body language, managing safe introductions, and maintaining a secure, stress-free environment for every pet under my care.

About: My name is Angels. I'm a reliable, responsible and caring pet sitter. I'm a full time Middle School paraprofessional, taking care of pets is my second favorite thing to do. I love animals. I've volunteered for many nonprofit organizations that rescue dogs. I was trained by the humane society to walk, to train and to care for dogs. I will love your dogs and care for them as if they were my own dogs. I will make sure to take pictures and to keep them safe while they are under my care. I am looking forward to working with you and your pet(s) . Have a wonderful and blessed rest of your day! Stay safe and sound! Thank you for your consideration!! Best Regards, Angels. It is summertime, so I am more flexible with my scheduling, meaning I have more time to walk during the day as opposed to only after work during the school year. While caring for them at your home, I will make sure to walk, feed, bathe, and brush your furry loved one as if they were my own.

About: Hi, my name is Ari! I’m a Colorado native who moved to Florida about a year ago. I love being outdoors — whether I’m at the beach, biking around town, or going for a run. I also have a six-year-old pug named Buzz who keeps life fun! I’ve been a trusted dog sitter for over 8 years, caring for dogs of all sizes, ages, and breeds. My experience includes everything from daily drop-in visits to full house sitting, and I’m comfortable caring for multiple dogs at once. I’m very active and love incorporating walks, playtime, and enrichment into each pup’s routine. I understand that every dog is unique, and I’m flexible, patient, and attentive to their individual needs. Whether your pup loves long walks or just some extra snuggles, I’ll treat them like family and provide a safe, happy experience while you’re away. 🐾 Pet care fits perfectly into my weekly schedule! I have a flexible routine that allows me to provide consistent, reliable care for your pup. Whether it’s daily walks, drop-in visits, or house sitting, I’m able to plan my week around the needs of the pets I’m caring for. I also love staying active, so walks and outdoor time are a natural part of my day. Your dog’s safety and comfort are always my top priorities. I’m attentive to each dog’s unique needs and routines, and I make sure they feel secure and loved while you’re away. Whether it’s during walks, playtime, or downtime, I provide a calm, safe environment where your pup can relax and thrive. Whether you want a solo or group walk depends on your dog's personality. Solo walks can be beneficial for dog parents with reactive dogs, puppies, or dogs who are anxious around unfamiliar animals. Many dog walkers on Rover offer private, one-on-one walking services.

Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Port Mayaca. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.

For dog walking services, you can request a report card update with specifics about your dog’s walk. Report cards require photos and can include a map of the walking route , total walk time, poop and pee breaks, and distance traveled, so you know exactly where your dog has been walking in Port Mayaca.

Got specific details you'd like the dog walker to include? Message them in the app before your dog’s walk begins.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

Every walker on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

Yes, you can find walkers who have experience with handling special pet needs in Port Mayaca. On Rover:

  • 96% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 99% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 100% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
