About: I have lovingly taken care of dogs and cats for over 40 years. My children had birds, hamsters, turtles, and an aquarium along with dogs and cats. Sarah, my tiny toy poodle, I got as a puppy and she became a blind senior dog and lived to be 18 when she died in my arms of a stroke. I have a bird feeder and bird bath for cranes, wood ducks, doves, bluejays, wrens, blackbirds, bunnies and squirrels in our yard. The neighbors come around on their golf carts to watch the animals. I am retired and enjoy all the animals in my life. I feel the more the merrier. I have two beautiful poodle fur babies one has a spinal injury and will be in her kennel while other fur babies are here to avoid her having any further accidental injury. My yard is not fenced so your dog will be leashed for potty breaks. If it is a puppy then it will be taken out more often. Please bring their favorite toys to make them feel more comfortable. I allow my dog on my furniture so if you do not allow them on yours, please let me know so I can adhere to your rules. Also I will be happy to administer meds if needed. I want your baby(s) to enjoy their stay with us and to be happy.

About: I believe in building strong bonds with each pet under my care, understanding their unique personalities and preferences. I focus on their physical health and emotional well-being and strive to create a caring environment where they feel love and security. I know pets are cherished members of the family, and as a pet owner myself, am committed to exceeding expectations in every aspect of their care. Pet owners can trust me to treat their beloved companions with the same affection and attention that I give my own pets each day. I'm a high school English teacher who is off for the summer, with lots of time on my hands to provide loving pet care each day. I live on 2 1/2 acres outside of town in Okeechobee. I have a friendly dog and cat who love to meet others and make the day fun and interesting. I am able to feed, water, and walk pets throughout the day and can supervise pets in my small fenced-in area connected to my back porch. I have comfortable living and play areas, as well as room for peace and quiet if pets prefer.

About: Why My Care is Different What sets me apart is the peace of mind that comes with hiring a professional veterinary technician with approximately eight years of experience. My background is rooted in high-stakes environments, including emergency medicine and overnight clinical supervision, which allows me to provide a level of medical oversight that goes far beyond standard pet sitting. Whether your pet is a healthy ball of energy or a senior requiring complex care, I bring clinical precision and a calm, expert perspective to every visit. Specialized Pet Care Expertise Emergency & Critical Care Experience: Having worked in emergency medicine and supervised overnight shifts, I am trained to remain calm under pressure and identify subtle clinical signs of distress before they become crises. Medical Proficiency: I am highly skilled in administering a wide range of medications and treatments, ensuring your pet’s health regimen stays perfectly on track while you are away. Fear Free Certified Professional: I prioritize your pet's emotional well-being by utilizing Fear Free techniques designed to reduce the stress, restricted movement, and anxiety often associated with handling and care. Senior & Special Needs Support: My extensive veterinary background makes me an ideal choice for senior pets who may need extra mobility assistance, specialized monitoring, or palliative care. Advanced Hygiene Standards: I maintain a clinical level of cleanliness, particularly with litter box maintenance and habitat sanitation, understanding that a pristine environment is the foundation of animal health. Professional Services: In addition to sitting, I provide professional nail trims and dremel services and can offer pet bathing and shaving. How Pet Care Fits Into My Routine My life is centered around animal care, both professionally and personally. Here is how pet care fits into my daily and weekly routine: Professional Integration: As a veterinary technician with approximately eight years of experience, including emergency medicine and overnight supervision, pet care is the core of my daily professional life. Home & Play Space: I live on 3 acres of property, providing a massive, secure space for plenty of outdoor play and enrichment. Personal Experience: I am a dedicated pet owner myself, caring for my own dogs and cats. Flexible Relief Shifts: I utilize the Roo platform for veterinary technician relief shifts, which allows me to balance clinical work with dedicated pet sitting. My approach to safety and environment is rooted in professional clinical standards and a deep commitment to the emotional well-being of every animal. Whether I am providing care in your home or welcoming a pet to mine, my goal is to create a secure, low-stress atmosphere where health and happiness are the top priorities. Care in Your Home When visiting your home, I bring the observational skills of a veteran veterinary technician to every shift. Medical Vigilance: With eight years of experience in emergency medicine and overnight supervision, I am trained to monitor for subtle changes in behavior or health that could indicate an underlying issue. Fear Free Environment: I utilize Fear Free techniques to ensure that all interactions—especially tasks that can be stressful, like nail trims—are handled with patience and positive reinforcement. Cleanliness & Hygiene: I maintain a clinical standard of sanitation. I take pride in deep-cleaning litter boxes and keeping pet areas pristine, as a clean environment is essential for disease prevention and overall comfort. Security Protocols: I am meticulous about home security, ensuring doors and gates are properly locked and your home is respected exactly as you left it. Care in My Home For pets visiting my home, I offer a professional-grade environment designed for both safety and fun. Spacious & Secure Play: I live on 3 acres of property, offering ample room for supervised outdoor exercise, enrichment, and play. Professional Oversight: Your pet is never just "staying" at a house; they are under the care of a professional veterinary technician capable of administering any necessary medications or treatments. Socialization & Comfort: Pets in my care enjoy a home environment alongside my own dogs and cats. I am always mindful of individual temperaments to ensure every animal feels safe and integrated. Emergency Preparedness: Because of my extensive background in emergency clinics, I am prepared to act decisively and calmly in the rare event of a medical emergency.

About: As a child raised on a farm, I developed a natural ability to nurture and care for animals of all kinds. For as long as I can remember, I have provided my pets with everything they need to thrive. I have owned several dogs and cats over the years. I make sure they remain happy and healthy. This includes administering treatments when necessary, bathing them regularly, trimming their nails, keeping up with vaccinations and medical checkups, and providing plenty of affection and companionship on a daily basis. Taking care of animals comes naturally to me. I not only provide for their basic needs, but I also establish a loving bond with my pets through consistent care, grooming, attention, and of course walks and treats. The wellbeing of the animals in my care is of the utmost importance to me. Pet care is completely integrated into my daily routine and responsibilities. From the moment I wake up, my focus is on ensuring the needs of my pets are met. Each morning begins with filling food and water bowls, cleaning litter boxes, and walking the dogs. My farm animals also require daily attention in terms of feeding, watering and letting them into their specific areas. Throughout the day, I am constantly checking in on my pets, refilling water, playing with them, and providing comfort and companionship. If any of my pets show signs they are unwell or need to see a vet, I make that my top priority and will rearrange my schedule accordingly to take them to appointments. Even during the nighttime, I am there for my pet and their needs and listen for any sounds that would indicate they want to go outside or need something. Their wellbeing and happiness comes before anything else in my routine. No matter what else is going on in my day, my pets always receive the time, care and love they deserve from me. As a dedicated pet caregiver, I provide for all the needs of the animals under my supervision. Whether at my own home or a client's residence, my focus is always on ensuring the pets remain happy, healthy, and well behaved. I allow the pets outdoor access at regular intervals, taking them for walks when needed. Basic hygiene is a priority, so pets receive routine grooming that includes baths and nail trimming. I play with the animals frequently to and provide lots of affection, hugs, and praise to make sure they feel loved. Their diet is closely monitored. I prepare fresh food and change water dishes regularly. I also secure away objects that could pose a hazard if left where a pet could access them. Regular vet appointments are scheduled to check them out and keep them up to date with everything. I take the pets to parks and other open spaces for fun. My role as a pet caregiver ensures all needs are met and the animals remain comfortable and content, whether at my own residence or under my supervision at a client's home. The pets' happiness and wellbeing are my top priorities.

About: I have always owned dogs and considered them as family. I have taken care of family and friends' dogs for about 20 years now and I have always treated them as if they were my own. I work full time, but only 2 or 3 days a week depending on the week. Therefore I'm free about 5 days a week and my schedule is flexible. Also, I live with my parents and sister and whenever I need to run errands, the pups never stay alone. I have a 20x30 yards, fenced back yard. I make them play for a while, feed them as instructed per the owner. If small enough, I let them sleep with me, if allowed by you.

About: My love for animals began as a child and I have cared for many animal companions. I love all animals. I have experience with dogs, cats, rabbits, birds, small mammals, snakes, some large animals etc. I am able to administer medications your family member might need. Walks/exercise tailored to your pet's needs. Trips to the park or trail, get a puppachino, a run to the vet, or the groomer, I can be at your service! Vacationing in the area? I can drop in to your vacation rental to take your pooch for a walk or feed the cat! My visits are minimum 30 minutes, and overnight really means overnight. I am the human companion for two dogs, Roxie and Dixie, who claim our domicile as their own. Owned by an African Grey Parrott who thinks she is a pirate, so birds are on the list as well. Clean food, water, and enclosures, along with enrichment are points I can help with. I'd be happy to come over and chat or read to your bird. Recent Animal Welfare experience. I take lots of photos and videos and send them to you. We have just moved to the area and I am looking forward to meeting the awesome pets in the area! Currently Rover jobs are my only focus for employment as we settle in to our new home and community. At this time, I am not able to offer care for pets in my own home. Looking to change that soon! Thank you! All pets in my care, your place or not, are treated as I would my own.

Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy.
