“I met Adrienne recently to have her pet sit. Upon first meeting, she asked all the appropriate questions about how to care for them. The weekend had some adventures (not fault of hers) but she handled it beautifully and showed so much love for my pets. I absolutely will use her again. ❤️ -from A Veterinarian”

“Tess is the best! One of our dogs is quite anxious. I could tell from the pictures that he was super comfortable with Tess. We received pictures and updates daily and knew they were in wonderful hands. To top everything, Tess was a super home sitter as well. Tess is genuine, reliable, considerate and a sweet and caring person. Six stars out of five!!”

“Jessica was great! She accepted our booking last minute and still made time to do a meet and greet prior to watching our dog. She was very communicative and prompt! Would definitely book her again!”

“Best house sitter that there ever was!!! She washed and folded the laundry that she used (we didn’t ask her to), she helped out with Buddy, our Elf on the Shelf, and was great with communication.”

“Celina was great with our two pugs! One of them is very people shy, and she had him snuggling with her in no time! She kept us informed as to how our fur babies were doing throughout the weekend. Will definitely use her again!”

“Olivia was given the task of caring for my 5 year old cocker spaniel who recently had meniscus surgery. She did a great job keeping my girl happy. She showed up on time and has an easy going manner. I will definitely use her again in the future!”

“We've never been gone from our pets for two weeks before. When our usual pet sitter told us she was unavailable, we were hesitant in finding new ones for such a long trip. Alexia and Jay were incredible. They had the best attention to detail, care, and love for our animals as if they were their own. Day 1, one of our dogs hurt his back legs somehow and they took him to the ER for us just to be sure. Never a complaint once. It was all smooth sailing after that. We got so many pictures and videos multiple times a day. Very responsive and available for any and all questions. They even went above and beyond to reset the house a bit before we came home. They take this very seriously which made our trip much less stressful. Thank you so much! Can't wait to book you again.”

“Laurie did an amazing job. She came to meet our dog first before sitting and he immediately loved her. She was a great communicator, and shared many great photos while we were away. She also asked some great questions that proved to me she cared about our pet’s wellbeing.”

“Victoria was great! She stayed at my house with my cat for a week while I was out of town with family. Super sweet and my cat loved her. Very communicative: I got daily photos and updates to give me peace of mind while away.”

“Our sweet Gimli was happy with Marilyn! She was very responsive and reliable. She shared happy photos of our dog! I appreciated finding our home just as we left it! I would recommend Marilyn for watching your pets!”

“Heidi was great. We had a few changes to our travel plans and she just went right with the flow. We were impressed when we met her with her thorough questions and enjoyed the updates she sent. When we got home our dogs were happy and didn’t seem stressed at all and Heidi left us a note with details of medication that had been given, etc.”

“Maria is the best! She was so kind, accommodating to our specific needs, communicated very well, and loved my kitten as if he were her own. We are incredibly thankful to have found her and look forward to working with her again in the future.”

“Kaila was amazing!! She took care of my German Shepherd while I was away for the weekend. She kept me updated the whole time and I’m so grateful she took such a good care of my baby!”

“Devon just spent 10 days at our home watching our 2 dogs (12y.o. Pit/chow and 8 y.o pitbull). I was nervous about finding someone to stay with our dogs as my older dog can be temperamental but the moment Devon came by for a meet and greet it was clear he is a dog whisperer. I received updates and pictures twice a day and never had to worry about how things were going at home. My older dog has been showing signs of dementia and Devon was able to sooth him through 4th of July and fireworks without any additional anxiety medication. Additionally, I was impressed with how respectful Devon was of our home and space. We came home to a clean house and happy dogs. We will definitely be booking again.”
“Ximena was wonderful to work with. She kept me updated with lots of pictures and kept me informed about how my cats were doing.. It was great not to have to worry about them when I was away. We are new to the area and will be using her when we travel.”

About: I spent twelve years caring for my German Shepherd, Tyson, who taught me the importance of patience, trust, & routine. Alongside him, I have cared for doggies of all breeds & sizes for over fifteen years. Friends & family have relied on me for walking, feeding, companionship, & staying with them for days at a time. I'm especially comfortable with large & strong breeds. I'm calm, attentive, & deeply respectful of each dog's unique personality- my goal is always for your pet to feel safe & loved while you're away! I'm happy to send photo updates so you can feel at ease as well! I will also care for your kitties! Hi! I’m Jade! I recently moved back to my hometown after spending the last five years living in Colorado, and I’m taking this season to slow down a little, spend time with family, and enjoy being back home. I’ve had a bit of a colorful career path! I’ve spent years as a private nanny and household manager, worked in property management, attended school for Interior Design, and now work in management and social media marketing. Through all of it, I’ve always loved work that involves caring for people, creating beautiful spaces, and making life a little easier for others. Outside of work, I’m a creative and an adventurer at heart. I love acrylic painting, interior design, hiking, cooking homemade recipes, road trips, and traveling to new places. Give me a beautiful trail, a little town I’ve never explored, a paintbrush, or something new to cook and I’m happy. I also had a dog of my own who I had to say goodbye to a few years ago, and I’ve really missed having that companionship in my everyday life. My current work gives me plenty of flexibility throughout the day, with especially open availability on Sundays and Mondays. I’m happy to follow whatever routine makes your pet happiest—whether that’s long walks and adventures, backyard playtime, or lots of couch snuggles. Most importantly, I want you to feel completely comfortable knowing your little family member is with someone who will genuinely love and care for them. I take them to the dog park, long walks, roaming around in fenced in yards, & lots of snuggles. Whatever you are comfortable with and whatever your dog's typical routine is- I will make sure they are fulfilled.
“We had Alyssa at our house for a week and our dogs seemed to really like her. When we got back they weren’t agitated or anxious or anything. I loved the pictures and updates she sent too. She even noticed one of my dogs was having bad allergies and let me know about it so I could tell her where the allergy medicine was.”

About: It's a family affair and we treat yours like ours. As a family, we've been fostering rescue puppies and dogs for more than 18 years, providing care, training, medical support and, of course, lots of love. Whether you need a last-minute pop in for a potty break and snuggle, a walk with some basic leash training, or a week-long sitter, we can help. Someone is always around and working from home between mom, dad or our 2 college students so even last minute "going to happy hour" requests can be accommodated. We would love to meet you and your furry family! We're available on most days and times and can be flexible to meet your pet's needs. Last minute need or emergency? No problem! I can work to fit you in and have a backup team (aka college-age kids) who love pets as much as I do! We treat yours like ours - like Family! Your pet's comfort and happiness is most important. Once we get to know each other, we can have nice walks with some play and/or snuggle time - whatever they need! We only take one pet at a time for in-home services like boarding and doggie daycare and integrate them into our home. We even have a doggie door into a fenced yard but I prefer to do potty breaks/ walks as needed. I'm comfortable administering medications as prescribed and understand that every dog come with their own routine and special needs.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Point of Rocks
My husband and I were away on our honeymoon for two weeks, and our original dog walker unexpectedly got sick. We had to scramble to find someone reliable to stay at our home and care for our dog, Quincy. We’re so grateful for Jennifer and her family for stepping in! She was incredibly dependable, kept Quincy’s routine consistent, and showed him so much love — as if he were her own. I really appreciated how flexible she and her family were with our last-minute request. Highly recommend booking her!

Highly recommend! Great experience for my 2 pups' stay cation at Jennifer's home. My boys had fun playing with Sammy and they received so much TLC from Jennifer and her family! She goes above and beyond to make sure our boys feel loved and well taken care of while I was away.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Point of Rocks walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Point of Rocks maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Point of Rocks choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
