About: I’ve grown up around animals and genuinely love caring for them like they’re part of the family. I’m reliable, attentive, and understand that every pet has their own personality and needs. I’m experienced with dogs of different ages and temperaments. I pay close attention to routines, feeding instructions and medications. I’ll always keep you updated with photos and check-ins to give you peace of mind. I work a flexible hybrid schedule - 3 days in office, 2 days at home. When we leave our dog home alone to roam the house Monday - Friday, she is alone 8:00 to 12:00 and 1:00 to 5:00 with a mid-day lunch and potty break. We have a 2-year-old 75 lb Pyredoodle who LOVES to play and wrestle, so your dog will have a built-in buddy. We also have a fully fenced backyard for safe playtime and exercise. Dogs are welcome on the furniture and beds. Our home is smoke-free and kid-free.

About: I have experience owning and caring for Miniature Schnauzers and Miniature Dachshunds. These dogs have taught me so much about patience, companionship, routines, and the unique personalities and needs of different breeds. I truly love dogs and enjoy giving them the attention, affection, exercise, and care they deserve. I understand how important it is for pets to feel safe, comfortable, and loved when their families are away. I would treat every dog in my care like one of my own. As a self-employed person who works from home, I have a flexible schedule that allows me to provide plenty of time, attention, and companionship to the animals in my care. Working from home means I can be available throughout the day for feeding, potty breaks, walks, playtime, and check-ins. I’m able to work around each pet’s individual routine and needs, while still keeping up with my own work responsibilities. I love having the opportunity to give pets the care, attention, and love they deserve while their families are away. I would care for a client’s pet as if it were my own. I would follow the owner’s instructions carefully, keep the pet’s feeding, medication, exercise, and potty schedule consistent, and give them plenty of attention and affection. I would also keep the home clean and safe, provide regular updates to the owner, and make sure their pet feels comfortable, loved, and secure while they’re away.

About: I’ve been taking care of dogs since even a young age. I was 11 years old when I got my own dog to take care of as well as raise. I’ve been hooked with animals majority of my life and love them all. They are family and I treasure as well as treat them like family. I also love to send updates of how the fur babies are doing. 😊 I live on a farm with a fenced in dog pen available. I also have 2 friendly dogs that play well with fur babies. However, I do understand the concerns of meeting new pets and have crates for my dogs to go to for separation if requested.
About: I’ve been caring for my current dog for 5 years, previously I had a pup that I cared for 2 years. Over the years, neighbors, friends, and family have trusted me to walk their pups, keep them fed on schedule. Those early experiences taught me how to be patient, responsible, and attentive to each dog’s unique personality. Caring for pets has always come naturally to me, and that long‑standing trust from the people around me is something I’m really proud of. I am also a huge fan of training pets, though im not certified to do so as yet. This is currently my full time job at the moment as I transition in the workforce. That means more time for your pet, more time for play and fun or just naps. My space is clean, pet‑friendly, and thoughtfully arranged to keep every pet safe and comfortable. I’ve created a home environment where pets can feel relaxed, stimulated, and genuinely cared for. My neighborhood has beautiful, safe trails just a short walk away, so dogs get plenty of outdoor time, fresh air, and enriching adventures suited to their energy level. Inside, I’ve set up a designated nap room — a quiet, cozy space where pets can unwind, recharge, or enjoy some peaceful alone time whenever they need it.
About: Hi! I'm a dependable, compassionate animal lover who believes every pet deserves to be treated with patience, respect, and genuine care. Reliability, safety, and integrity are at the core of everything I do, so you can trust that your pets will be cared for as if they were my own. Before transitioning into animal care, I spent over a decade serving my community as a firefighter and paramedic. During that time, I not only cared for people during emergencies but also had the privilege of rescuing animals from fires and other emergency situations. I also completed Basic Animal Rescue Technician (BART) training, giving me additional knowledge in safely handling and caring for animals during stressful situations. Those experiences reinforced the importance of remaining calm under pressure, paying close attention to details, and treating every life with compassion and respect. I've spent years around dogs of all sizes, breeds, ages, and temperaments, including training my own service dog using positive, relationship-based methods. I understand that every animal is unique, and I take a calm, mindful approach to building trust and helping them feel safe and comfortable. Whether your companion is an energetic puppy, a senior dog, a shy rescue, or another type of animal altogether, I'm comfortable caring for a wide variety of pets and adapting to their individual needs. My goal is to provide dependable care, clear communication, and peace of mind while you're away, ensuring your pet receives plenty of attention, exercise, and affection. Throughout my career—whether caring for people or now caring for animals—my philosophy has remained the same: show up when it matters, pay attention to the details, and treat every life with kindness, respect, and compassion. I can be pretty flexible and adaptable to your scheduling needs, and I'm open to having things set up on a recurring schedule, or filling last minute needs when I'm available and not tied up in family matters. Your pet's safety, comfort, and well-being are always my highest priorities. I take the time to learn each pet's routine, personality, and any special needs so I can provide care that feels familiar and minimizes stress. Whether we're out on a walk or spending time together at home, I use a calm, patient approach that helps pets feel safe and secure. When caring for pets in your home, I'll treat both your home and your animals with the utmost respect. I'll carefully follow your instructions regarding feeding, medications, exercise, and household routines, while maintaining a clean and secure environment. I'll also provide regular updates and photos so you can feel confident that your pet is happy and well cared for while you're away. My goal is to be someone you can trust completely—providing dependable, attentive care while giving you peace of mind and ensuring your pets are treated like members of my own family.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
