“Samantha was fantastic. She clearly has a lot of experience with pets, including administering medications, which is what my cat needed while I was out of town. Samantha was very responsive, very personable and good-natured. I feel like she went above and beyond. She always sent me lots of picture updates which I appreciated. She was great, and I would definitely recommend her services.”

“Ashley provided an excellent home away from home for my puppy. They have a large yard for play and an easy going style with dogs. She is very prompt in her communication and provides regular updates.”

“Carol was consistent, reliable, and seemed to keep my cats pretty happy! She spent the full amount of time with them every time, managed to coax my exceptionally shy cat out of hiding a little, and kept me updated. Would certainly book again”

“Relish did a great job with my girl, Basia, even if Basia wouldn't give her the time of day! Basia decided to be a shy girl, for once, and hide most of the time but she eventually came out to observe Aelish in her home from under the dining table. But, seriously, Aelish was very sweet and friendly, and responsive to my texts while cat-sitting. I would definitely use her again and would recommend her.”

“Sarah did a great job with my 2 kitties! She was very responsive when messaging, and was available within a week of my trip. I got pictures and videos on each of her visits, and she managed to keep my rascal kitten under control. My home was clean and the kitties had plenty of food and water and tidy litterboxes when I returned home from my trip!”

“Lejuana did a wonderful job taking care of my kitties. One was sick and needed multiple pills. Lejuana went to great strides to get her to take the meds. Also provided extra TLC for a very unhappy kitty. Would definitely get Lejuana again whenever needed!”

About: I’ve been surrounded by animals since I was a kid and have grown up to be a pet loving person! I’ve taken care of dogs of many sizes so it shouldn’t be a challenge for me. I have experience in dog walking and dog care. I have two cats and a small dog that I care for on a daily basis. I am available almost everyday to help care for your beloved animals. I am able to be flexible with drop in times. I currently take care of one dog and two cats. My dog goes on walks everyday and they get fed twice a day. I feed my cats twice daily and clean their litter every other day, they get plenty of cuddles and play time.

About: I grew up on a farm, always having dogs and cats around. I also worked at a small animal shelter for 3 years, where I rescued my 2 cats and dog. Later I worked at a pet supply store. We were given extensive education on pet nutrition, handling and care. I have always been friends and families go to person for their pet sitting needs. Also I cared for my husband's 2 elderly dogs when we moved in together, helping them eat, administering medications and helping them in and out of the house. I have an open schedule as I am new to the area. I am more than happy to come to you or you can come to me! Whatever your pet needs are I can attend to. If crating is needed I can do that, I live less than a mile from a nature center where we can go on hikes and walk. If I am needed in your home just let me know the details of what you would like and I can make that happen as well.

“Sarah was amazing! Will definitely be hiring her again; she went above and beyond for us and our kittens and even took daily photos of them for us to ease our anxiety with leaving them for such a long time.”

“Julia followed my instructions exactly to take care of my kitten. She kept him great company while I was away. I felt very safe with her being here with him and with her being in my home. She always arrived on time and was dependable. Thank you Julia! She also left a note and some pictures she took of my Finn at the last drop-in, which was a beautiful touch ❤️”

About: With over six years of experience as a Veterinary Assistant and a background in Veterinary Technician studies, I have developed strong skills in caring for a diverse array of pets. After taking time off to be a stay-at-home mom, I am eager to bring my expertise and passion for animal care back into the field! I am available on Friday and Saturday evenings after 6pm and Sunday and Mondays throughout the day! This schedule is subject to change due to being a full time stay at home momma. In clients homes I respect boundaries and upkeep the areas your pets use. I will ensure they are comfort and trusting of me before approaching and interacting!

About: In addition to caring for my own dog and cat, I've also helped with my neighbor's dog, and my sister's dogs. I've got a fully fenced in back yard that's almost a full acre. And my german shepherd is incredibly sweet and gentle around other animals. I keep my weekends free so I can hang out with your pet! With school out my 15 year old daughter is home too and is eager to help love on some new pooches. My mother is also home most of the time working, and we are used to loud dog barks! In my home I have a German shepherd upstairs full time and a pit bull mix downstairs in the afternoon. Both are sweet and energetic and love new dogs! My cat does better with people, but she knows how to stay out of dodge when its needed. We do crate our dog when we leave the house but she free roams at night, alternating between the bed and the floor and the couch as she pleases. I would require your dog to be crate trained in case I need to leave the house during a boarding session. In your home, your rule is law. Whether its feeding your cat a carefully measured amount of wet food or keeping the litter box filled exactly half way, your standards are mine and I'm happy to go the extra mile. Likewise for a doggy drop-in to walk and feed. I always pick up after my pet on a walk so your neighbors have nothing to fear from me. And I'm used to reigning in a 90lb German shepherd who wants to make friends with every neighborhood stray cat so you can rest assured that I can keep hold of your dog on a walk.

About: Love all animals and will take care of any pet. Will make sure to make sure to play with them for a while each visit to ensure they are happy while you are away. Can usually do any time on any day of the week. Am planning to do this for my summer break before I leave for college. I will gently discipline if needed but mostly will just show affection and play with the animal. I find it most important to make sure they are happy while you are away.

About: I’ve loved animals for as long as I can remember. I grew up on a farm surrounded by all sorts of creatures, and that early love has stayed with me. While I’m new to Roanoke, I previously supported the DC/NOVA area through Wag! for several years and am now looking forward to building connections with pet families here in my community. As a remote worker with a flexible schedule, I’m able to spend quality time with the animals I care for — whether they’re full of energy or need a little extra support. I’m comfortable with all kinds of animals, routines, and temperaments, and I do my best to honor what each one needs. Over the years, I’ve cared for many senior and special needs animals, including my two old-ladies, Chrissy and Raspy, who passed away this winter. I’m now kept on my toes by two playful kittens, Joan and Lirael. No matter their age, health, or temperament - I'm able to show up with consistency, patience, and care. I aim to be someone you can trust - not just to care for your animals - but to respect your home, follow routines closely, and communicate clearly while you’re away. I’m happy to accommodate last-minute bookings when I can, but advanced notice is always appreciated. Looking forward to meeting you and your fur-fam! I'm currently a remote worker with a flexible schedule. If I am staying in your home, I can work remotely from that location and keep a close eye on your pet. If I stopping in for a quick visit, I can generally drop in any time before 9am, during lunch, or after 4pm. Different times could also be arranged with some planning. I aim to be someone you can trust not just to care for your animals, but to respect your home, follow routines closely, and communicate clearly while you’re away. I’m happy to accommodate last-minute bookings when I can, but advanced notice is always appreciated.

About: Hi! I have taken care of puppies and dogs since I was 8 years old. I helped my family raise numerous litters, assisted with medical care, and cared for dogs through all stages of life. I have always had a dog by my side to call my best friend, and have many fur-iends I care for when their families go out of town. I WFH and can be available! I am looking to help those throughout the day and some at night if you get in a pinch. I am well equipped to handle your furry family member in your home and environment - knowing their wants and needs. Please let me know their favorite routine, treat, TV show, toy, walk, etc.

“Angela did a wonderful job taking care of our babies. A situation came up and she informed us right away and she handled it very professionally until we were able to make it home. I would recommend her to anyone.”
