About: Hi there 😄 I am an animal lover, highly responsible human, and am excited to meet and care for your fur babies! I grew up with cats my whole life, often multiple at a time (2-3). I have fostered and owned several dogs and puppies. I will care for your pets like they are my own, and as a pet owner and user of Rover myself, I fully understand the trust and responsibility involved in finding a high quality pet sitter. I am happy to be of service! I have experience with high energy dogs, senior dogs, and have puppy training expertise. I feel confident in understanding, bonding with, and caring for the unique needs of your pets. Since I own two dogs currently, (both very well behaved, super friendly and outgoing) your doggies will be in great company! I take my pups to the dog park at least 2-3 times per week, and usually do at least 1-2 big wilderness hikes as well weekly. I will gladly give your dogs an incredible fun adventure with our family, as well as lots of love and care. Of course, I am also happy to take your pups on solo walks or to certain locations if they do better on walks alone or have other specifications. I’ve grown up with cats since childhood and am very well versed in taking care of them too. I have years of experience house and cat sitting for friends and colleagues. She was also very patient with me when I reviewed all the many details prior to our trip, as I was nervous we’d be leaving our home to a new pet sitter while we’d be so far away and in a much different time zone. I shouldn’t have worried- she handled it all like the pro that she is! Communication was excellent- she’d update me about our dog Moto and their walks but did not overly text. She asked questions when needed. She dealt with some less-than-ideal situations due to our home being in the mountains (wind and fire risks) but handled it all with grace! Most importantly she took great care of our dog, giving him his daily meds, walking him often and plenty, and occasionally taking him to doggie daycare instead of leaving him alone in the house (like we had requested.). She also took excellent care of the guinea pigs and turtles. She left our home clean which we greatly appreciated. Sheri is a truly considerate individual who we were so grateful to find and be able to trust with our home and pets. I won’t hesitate to use Sheri again and hope she can sit for us whenever we are out of town.”

Rachel was amazing with my neurotic GSD Koda, and his sidekick Cricket cat. It was our first time leaving them with a non-family sitter we didn’t know, so I was a little nervous. Melanie was absolutely fantastic from start to finish! And I'm pretty sure I brought every challenge a pet sit can bring. I had to schedule last minute, I was leaving the country, and I have multiple dogs. She stayed overnight with them, and unfortunately we did have a scuffle between two of them on the second night that she handled masterfully. She got on the phone with me right away, sent me pictures, took great care of everyone, took the injured dog to my vet and followed up with great care of him until I could get home 2 days later. Her communication was excellent! The dogs were clearly well taken care of and in great spirits when I got home. This was my first experience using a Rover sitter and she exceeded my expectations by far! I feel incredibly lucky that Melanie was the sitter who got my crazy clan. She was kind and patient and wonderful about the entire experience.
When our dog got skunked in the backyard, Regina went to GREAT lengths to clean her up, and our house as well. She thought of everything, including potential medical indications which thankfully there were none of. All of this happening after midnight, too. I think our home smelled fresher when we got back than when we left. Amazing.

Stephanie was awesome with my dogs mouse and tootie! She was willing to meet them 2 times before sitting to help get them comfortable with her, and the second time they saw her they were super excited and happy to be around her, which is awesome! Stephanie walked them together each day in addition to staying over and caring for them at my home. They have special feeding instructions and tootie needs a ton of play, and Stephanie was really up for it and communicated with me and sent me updates, and was all around very professional and kind and great. I feel like my babies are in good hands with her, and when I returned, they were their happy selves and obviously Not stressed. I think Stephanie is awesome and will definitely book again.
Carmen was really fabulous! She watched my dog for a holiday weekend after I couldn’t book my typical sitter. She was super responsive when I reached out and came over for a meet and greet right away. My dog is normally nervous to meet new people but warmed up to Carmen right away. When I got back home it was clear my dog loved Carmen and was just happy to be around her. My house was left super clean and neat. Will definitely book again! 💗
