About: Volunteered at a vet clinic & pet sat for friends and family & discovered the joy of comforting pets when they're feeling anxious and home sick. I am pursuing a master's in computer science at UNM, and my schedule can be flexible. I will be home for the most part, but if I ever need to step away it's only for a couple hours. My boyfriend and I work as a team in caring for our dogs, and we do the same for our clients. It's normal for your pet to feel homesick, so we do our best to make them feel like they are at home and give them the quality time and affection they are used to from their loved ones ❤️ Baxter is 9 yo pit mix & Chiqui is an 8 yo Pomeranian/chihuahu. We have a small fenced yard and a kennel that Baxter uses for whenever we have to leave the house to run errands. Our dogs sleep in their beds upstairs in our bedroom, and we set up your pet's bed next to us as well. We typically ask clients to bring their pet's bed or crate/kennel and a blanket or toy they like to cuddle with to remind them of home 🤍 If you could also pack their food, food bowl, and leash for their stay, that would be great! 🐾

About: I've been around dogs and cats all my life. I currently have two cats of my own and have had dogs in the past of all types and sizes. Boundaries are huge when it comes to caring for animals, whether enforcing mine or respecting theres, and I will respect the energy as it is. I love backyard play and playing fetch. I don't mind administering medication with clear instructions. I can take short walks with your furry family members no problem. I am available anytime on Saturday and Sunday and weeknights Monday–Friday. I hold an 8:30 am to 5:00 pm job and go to school part time at NMSU Global campus (online) and am willing to do homework as I pet sit, weaving school and care together if need be. I respect the animal's personality and personal boundaries as much as possible. For example, I have two cats with two different personalities. One loves pets and snuggles and the other keeps to herself and prefers that I speak to her instead of petting her to show affection. I have experience with overnight stays at the pet's family home and have no issues with keeping things respectful and tidy.

“I have a highly anxious dog, who was having a particularly difficult month. She has warmed up well to 1 past dog sitter, but was struggling more than usual prior to my trip. Tracy had patience with her and gave her the space she needed, used treats and her knowledge of dog body language to try to help my dog feel safe. While Daisy did not warm up to Tracy (it was only 1 night), Daisy's needs were taken care of. Tracy was able to get Daisy to take her medications and Daisy was able to eat and go out into the yard for potty breaks. I greatly appreciate Tracy's knowledge and willingness to provide care for highly anxious/reactive dogs.”

About: I have trained and raised family dogs growing up. My family loves doberman's so I have a lot of experience with bigger dogs as well as medium more energetic dogs like German shorthaired pointers. I have experience taking care of family friends dogs as well from dogs of any size or breed. I'm currently attending school at UNM on MWF. I am available for early morning and night drop-ins Sunday-Monday as well as afternoon visits on Mondays and Fridays. My dog is high energy. I play with her favorite toys when I get home and take her on daily walks around the neighborhood. My dog loves pats and I give her lots of attention.

About: I’ve grown up surrounded by dogs and cats for as long as I can remember, giving me firsthand experience with their unique personalities, needs, and proper care. More recently, I was a member on another pet sitting website when I was a student at a university in Paris,France, where I had experience taking care of dogs and cats in my own apartment for a few different families for a period of time. The best part about watching pets is the pleasure I get from being able to give them love while their owners were away. I am open to pet sitting weekdays and weekends. I work during the week with days off in between. Early mornings and late nights are no problem. I’ll closely follow a pets routine, providing fresh water, food as instructed, exercise/playtime, medication if needed, a safe environment, and of course lots of love and affection.
