Hi, I’m Madison! I’m 20 years old and currently in college studying nutrition. I’ve grown up with dogs my whole life and feel comfortable with all kinds of personalities, ages, and sizes. Since I was about 12, friends, neighbors, and my parents’ coworkers have trusted me to stay in their homes and care for their pets for days or even weeks at a time. I’m calm, playful, and organized, and dogs tend to relax around me pretty quickly. I’m home for the summer, which gives me a very flexible schedule and plenty of time to focus on pet care. I also have experience caring for small animals like guinea pigs and goldfish, so I’m used to handling different routines and making sure every pet feels safe and cared for.

When I’m caring for pets in a client’s home, I focus on keeping their routine and environment exactly the way they’re used to. I follow the owner’s instructions closely — feeding schedules, walks, medications, crate routines, and any house rules — so their dog feels safe and settled. I’m naturally organized, so I keep track of details and make sure everything stays clean and consistent. Growing up, I was always taught to leave every space cleaner than I found it, and I bring that same mindset into every home I care for. I’m calm and patient, which helps dogs relax around me, but I’m also playful and happy to give them extra attention, outdoor time, and affection. I always double‑check doors, gates, and leashes for safety, and I treat the home with the same respect I’d want someone to treat mine. My goal is for pets to feel comfortable, cared for, and completely at ease while their owners are away.

Pet care fits really naturally into my routine right now. I’m home for the summer, so I have plenty of free time to check in on dogs, take them out, and give them lots of attention and playtime. My other job is part‑time and fully online, which means my hours are very flexible. I can easily adjust my day around each pet’s needs, whether that’s sticking to a routine or adding in extra walks and cuddles.

My preference is simply for dogs whose needs and temperament are clearly communicated, so I can show up for them in the way that works best.
