“Sam is tuned into Jyrah and it is so much of a relief to know my girl is in such great hands on the days Jyrah gets to go to Doggie Daycare with Sam! Sam is attentive and kind and provides a wonderful and patient environment with engagement and relaxation periods. Jyrah loves spending time with Sam.”

“Pat and Claudette were wonderful with our little Cannelle Claudette is real professional who has been taking care of dogs for many years. She doesn’t take on more than three dogs so that she can give them her full attention. I would definitely recommend them to take care of your pets.”

“Kimberly has been awesome and accommodating. Stella has had some medical issues which she has been so conscientious about. Also her fur babies are do loving toward Stella and enjoy her company that eases my mind more than I can articulate. She has been a godsend.”

“Christina is a very thoughtful sitter! She has a great set up. Extra dog crates, a gate before the door so no one runs out, covered couch she lets the dogs up on, and a good little yard. My dog had a blast playing with her and other dog she was watching. We were delayed in our travels and she was very flexible! Told me not to rush and sent a ton of pictures letting me know Lyra was having a good time. She even let me book last minute with a quick meet and greet the night before. Thanks Christina!”

“James has been awesome with foster George (AKA Houdini) who has been on the euthanasia list 3 times. . . and his next time will be his last. George is the sweetest dog ever but his escapism has been problematic. James has been his life saver while I am at work, and has provided George playmates and activity throughout the day. James is DEFINITELY worth considering if you need care for your dog. . . (Just don't steal George's spot. . . We need James.)”

“My puppy Louie was so tired after having a very fun day playing with another Aussie at Cassi's! She sent me adorable picture updates throughout the day. Thanks for taking such good care of him. He had a blast.”

“As I drove up Diane's driveway on the second day of doggie daycare, my dog began barking enthusiastically and wagging her tail. My dog's review is the one that counts and she lets me know in a thousand different ways that she is so happy with Diane. In fact, when I go to pick up my dog from Diane's house, she always wants to spend a more time there. When it comes to finding the best sitter, I've already done the work for you. After attending many meet and greets, I can say with certainty that Diane is the best in Albuquerque. Diane has a great environment for the dogs. She has a large, grassy area outside and lots of shade. She lets the dogs come inside and has crates set up for rest time. When my dog is with Diane, she is learning and good habits are being reinforced. I also feel like Diane loves my dog and is glad that my dog is with her. I get pictures during every stay!”

About: I've been a pet caretaker for most of my 45 years, but I only put 25 in the years experience because those adult years of my life have been most dedicated to pet care. I am a serial adopter of rescue animals, so I'm well versed in pet conditions that need special care. I don't crate our animals and I love them all unconditionally. If you have a pet that needs special attention or even a modicum of training, I'd be happy to help you take care of them. I'm a military veteran and author working from home. I spend my entire day spoiling my pets (I have both cats and dogs, and they get along well enough). I walk the dogs daily, sometimes more than once. The dogs get brushed regularly and the cats get brushed if they make an appearance or we can catch them. As mentioned earlier, I do not crate our pets. I prefer to let them roam, but I occasionally do block off certain areas of the house to prevent naughty behavior. The pets are always rewarded for good behavior with snacks.

About: As a life long pet owner, I have had great report with animals of all sizes. I have trained and enjoyed a kennel free environment. All my dogs have had happy lives and great disposition with kids and other animals. I will provide a safe and loving home for your dog where they will receive a ton of love and petting. I love that my dog will follow me around and look for any moment to get petting and affection; even will force my bathroom door open, knowing I am a captive audience. I look forward to doing the same for your pooch. I have walked dogs both short and long distances. Thank you for your consideration and look forward to meeting your family member (dog).

“Arysta is a godsend! She understands dogs and is a true "dog whisperer." Whenever I need to board my puppy somewhere I know he'll be safe and with someone I know is dependable, Arysta has my full confidence.”

“First time using a pup sitter, so definitely first time using Rover. It went great, especially since it was a last minute needed booking. Michael was just great with Rio! Thank you, Michael”

About: Hi there! My name is Nicole. I work from home full-time doing finance in health insurance and have a very active lifestyle. Although new to Rover, I’ve grown up pet/house sitting for friends. I have two dogs of my own that keep me on my feet - always itching for adventure. My house isn’t too far from a dog park, but I much rather enjoy quiet walks on the bike path in the neighborhood or walks along the Bosque. Your pets’ safety and happiness are paramount. I aim to create a stress free and fun environment for them. Knowing the queues and body language of each pet helps give an understanding of how they’re feeling and what they’re comfortable with.

About: I started working with dogs at 16 years old at a greyhound kennel for about 3 years. Had my first dog while growing up, and multiple outdoor kitties as a child. I have my cat now—Ritzy (14 yrs old), and a few years later became a foster dog failure (winner) and adopted my Moriah (12 yrs old) from the SPCA of Texas. As of Sept 2020, I foster failed again! ha! So now have Tess (10 years old) also from the SPCA. Jan 2024 adopted another foster from Oklahoma! Aspen! ❤️ ***While in Texas, I was a volunteer with the SPCA of Texas from 8/2017-8/2019 and had their training in animal handling, and adoption counseling. I accumulated 700+ hours in volunteer time at the shelter and fostering with them. I loved it there, and was around many rescue dogs from bad situations. Positive reinforcement, patience, and empathy is so important in rescue and these are some of my strengths when it comes to working with fearful dogs especially. I fostered many dogs when I could even if its was just for the weekend. Some I had a couple of months until we found the right home. Giving them time in a home is so rewarding, even if they are nervous or insecure of their new surroundings they get to experience a “home”, for maybe the first time ever! New Mexico. 2019-2021--fostered dogs w/Albuquerque Animal Welfare, and privately for transport dogs from Mexico to rescue groups in Utah/Colorado. I was a Feral Friends volunteer from 4/2017-7/2019 and helped with cleaning the cat condos at Petco in Plano TX. I got my kitty cuddles in, since my cat does not like them lol. Have experience with feral cats and had some good outcomes with TNR. Have at least 10+ years with just animal volunteer experience! Oklahoma-- 2021-2025, became very involved in animal rescue. Fostered close to 20 dogs, and even a couple of dog transports to rescue in Minnesota! Animal welfare is one of my greatest passions!! Have fostered nearly 50 animals over the years. I've seen the good, sad, and bad side while in animal rescue. Will look forward to helping more animals while back in Placitas, NM as of July 2025. Currently I work very PRN remotely for hospice in Oklahoma. I am a hospice volunteer coordinator for SE Oklahoma. So my schedule is very flexible at the moment! Here with me or at their home, we go off your pet's routine in care. I am currently working remotely from phone and computer PRN. My schedule is very flexible at the moment. Plenty of time to help the fur babies! I have a fenced yard with 3 friendly doggies to help keep company & help with play time. Will crate if preferred or best while away.

About: Ever since bullying my parents to get a dog at age 10 (I threatened to move out and they caved!), I’ve been hooked. From puppies to seniors, terriers to huskies, I love them all and have the privilege of taking care of them through sickness and health, youth and old age. As a teacher with a flexible schedule I’m home all day Friday-Sunday and all holidays. My husband also works from home and is part of our care team. We currently have one dog and he is a huge part of our lives - everything we do, he does. Expect your pet to be treated like family too! We live in the Sandia Mountains and a walk in nature is just right outside our front door. Based on your dog’s preferences, we can go on gentle nature walks, hikes through the mountains, or even take the short drive to a local dog park for social dog play. Pets have access to all of our family living spaces and they can sleep anywhere they are comfortable, although we love having them in our bedroom with us at night. We have a safe, fenced yard with an optional dog door so anytime your pet needs a potty break, they are welcome to go.
