About: I've been taking care of dogs, cats, and basically any animal pet you could think of since I was 7 reliable family and I would say. Also I have fostered about five dogs since moving out of my parents house. I love that I can provide a loving, caring, and comfortable environment for any pet. ❤️ Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. As a currently stay-at-home mom, I have a flexible schedule that allows me to dedicate time and attention to each pet in my care. Whether it’s feeding, walks, playtime, potty breaks, litter box cleaning, or simply providing companionship, I can be consistent and attentive throughout the day. I understand how important it is to stick to each pet’s normal routine, so I’ll do my best to follow your instructions and schedule to help them feel comfortable and secure while you’re away. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and well-being will always be my top priorities. I take the time to learn each pet’s routine, personality, and any special needs before providing care. I’ll carefully follow all feeding instructions, medication schedules (if needed), exercise routines, and any other preferences you have for your pet. I believe in building trust with every animal by being patient, gentle, and allowing them to become comfortable at their own pace. I’ll also keep you updated with messages and photos so you can have peace of mind knowing your pet is happy and well cared for while you’re away.

So far so great! This was our first booking and it went very well! Shelann was welcoming and wonderful with CLA. She has a grand home and backyard. There was plenty of play at the home and the dog park. More than enough videos and great communication. Definitely recommended!

Amazing dog sitter, highly recommend I needed someone to watch my Lab puppy at short notice and was a bit worried I wouldn't have any luck due to Family sitter backing out unfortunately. I reached out to Alexis and she responded very quickly and asked the appropriate questions such as shots/vaccines/ and neutered, of which our dog Bruce has had all that done. Took Bruce over on the scheduled time introduced the dog to the new surrounding and their wonderful dog Peanut. He was a bit apprhensive at first as expected but quickly warmed up to peanut and Alexis and had a flawless visit with updates and pictures from Alexis during the visit.

We couldn’t be happier with the care our dog received! From the moment we met them, it was clear that they genuinely love animals and take their responsibility seriously. Our dog can be a bit shy with new people, but they was incredibly patient, kind, and attentive—quickly building a bond of trust and comfort. Throughout the time we were away, we received regular updates, including photos and thoughtful messages, which gave us complete peace of mind. It was clear that our dog wasn’t just being looked after, but truly cared for. We came home to a very happy, relaxed dog, which speaks volumes about their professionalism. We feel incredibly fortunate to have found such a dedicated and compassionate sitter and wouldn’t hesitate to book again or recommend to others. Thank you, for treating our dog like family!

Kim and her family were great! I had a very last minute urgent need to go out of town for a day for work and Kim met me the night before with a few hours notice and was extremely accommodating. Macaroni is 4 months old and has puppy tendencies and can be handful but Kim gave me updates, sent pictures and macaroni came home happy and healthy. He loved his time there, this was my first time being away from him since I got him at 8 weeks old and wouldn’t hesitate to bring him back there again. Thank you!

About: I’ve owned and cared for cats, dogs, fish, rodents and reptiles for more than 45 years. I would be happy to share the love with your furry (or otherwise) family members too. I currently have a sheepadoodle that loves other dogs and people, so he would love to have a playmate to come and take walks and spend time with us. I currently work from home so I have plenty of freedom to spoil all the pets in my care. I do look after my 3 year old grandson sometimes so getting along with children would be an important quality if your pet should come to stay with me. I have a fenced yard and a very friendly sheepadoodle that gets along with both dogs and cats. We love to go on walks too.

About: I do offer boarding at my farm. I only take up to 2 dogs at a time. We do a few walks everyday around the 8 acres. They get plenty of yard time. Every dog gets a specialized program with me and one Free training session. Does your animal need meds? No problem. If I can syringe a horse, I can handle a cat or dog (and have) I also LOVE cats. I have had a many cats in the last 28 years. House cats, barn cats, baby cats, old cats. I currently have 2 cats that were ring worm kittens from Paws. I finished up their treatment and adopted them. I can wrangle a barn cat that’s 1/2 feral to go to the vet or get it’s flea/tick meds. Don’t count me out if you have cats! They like me as much as I like them! I have taken care of pretty much any house pet from rats, to ferrets, parrots and snakes. I have had many tropical fish tanks too. Horses, cats and dogs are not my limits. As long as I’m not previously booked, I will be able to accommodate you. It never hurts to ask. I try to stay pretty close to home so I can fit in as many visits as possible but I do have great transportation. I keep safety in mind at all times. I am always aware when I’m walking a dog and will not let them mingle with other dogs or people. I always make sure water is fresh and plentiful. I am very cautious to avoid and loose animals. Your pets health and care are my career and my number one concerns.

About: Hi! I've been fostering dogs from a local shelter for a little over 2 years. In that time, I've helped about 20 dogs find their forever families. There's been dogs in our home ranging in age from 9 months to 9 years, all with a different story. Abused, neglected, owner surrender, stray, court case holds, seniors, puppies, overweight, super skinny and anything else you can think of! I treated them all with empathy and showered them affection to earn their trust and love. Many of my former fosters come for visits while their owners are on vacation. Any pup that comes through my doors will be cared for and treated with respect, just like my fosters! I work at a school, so I'm currently on summer break. When school is in session, I work Monday to Friday 9-1, and I'm off evenings, weekends and holidays. I also work in the town in which I reside, so my commute is less than 5 minutes, meaning I'm close by! I have a fully fenced in yard, crates and dog beds in various sizes, bowls, blankets and mounds of toys. I'm also comfortable administering medication if needed.

Christa took such good care of our boy Mo. He is blind and almost no hearing so needs some special care. She picked him up and dropped him back off for us and was right on time. Mo had a great time staying with her and was a happy boy wagging his tail. Thank you so much for giving our boy attention and watching him for us.

About: I adore and cherish dogs of all breeds, shapes, and sizes. I am a HUGE animal lover and love all aspects of caring for animals. I am the type of person that if I see someone walking their dog across the street, I will go over to pet the dog. I've grew up caring for and loving at least one dog at a time since I was a teenager. I feel a great sense of fulfillment and purpose in knowing that I play a part in neutering the happiness and overall well being of dogs. I started off pet sitting for several family and friend's dogs over the years and found the experience very rewarding and exciting. I then moved beyond the scope of people I already knew to families within my community who requested help caring for their fur babies. I presently have many happy pet sitting and dog walking clients who can attest to my ability to provide the best care possible for their dog(s) (I do provide references) and I’m here looking to expand my customer base even more! I’m educated in obedience skills and utilize the skills I know whenever possible. I earned my master's degree in from Wilmington University in School Counseling in 2017. I am not currently using the degree. Another passion of mine is children. My caring and nurturing personality makes caring for animals rewarding and gives me a great sense of purpose.❤️ My schedule is flexible and I don't mind changing around my schedule when possible to care for furry friends. The more notice I get the better! My home is very safe for pets. I have gates in my family room that close off the room from the rest of my house should a dog need to be contained in one room; however, I can't help but resist letting dogs roam around and sleep in my bed. My yard is fenced in. I don't mind walking dogs around my neighborhood either. Client's always feel at ease when they see my house and the dogs always love their stay!

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Pitman commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.

A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.

Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:

  • For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
  • For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
  • For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.

Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in NJ ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 2,203 sitters in Pitman, 87% respond to messages in under an hour.

You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
