About: Hi. I'm Justin and thank you for checking out my profile. I grew up with a Sharpei, German Shepard and Chow Chow. In college I raised a Rottweiler/German Shepard Mix. On my own, I have been lucky to have a Sharpei (senior rescue) and Rottweiller (senior rescue). I am a dog person through and through. I treat each dog like they were my own and give them the best care possible while their owners are away. I think the most important things when it comes to dogs, whether it is a short walk or a weeks long boarding are (1) advocate for the dog, ensuring it feels safe and has a positive experience (2) understanding and respecting each dog's boundaries. I have raised multiple puppies and have worked with multiple dog trainers/behaviorists, so understand basics of training. I have rescued multiple senior dogs and have senior dog experience ranging from dispensing medicine to understanding that older dogs sometimes just need to take everything a little slower. I have also had challenging dogs- not properly socialized to dogs, leash pulling dogs to those with a bite history. Overall, I will do everything I can to ensure your dog feels safe and has enjoyable time. I recently left my career day job so that I can care of my aging mom. I facilitate her day-to-day taking her to/from senior programs. As such, I do have quite a bit of free time on my hands and aside from a few fixed days/times where I am not available, my schedule is fairly flexible and will try my best to accommodate. I’ve taken care of dogs of all ages, sizes, and temperaments. If needed, I can meet ahead of time and we can discuss any specific needs your dog(s) may have. When walking your dog, I let the dog determine how long of a walk we go on to make sure I don’t tire them out too much or not exercise them enough. I also encourage dogs to sniff to their hearts' content.

“Lindsay was wonderful with our young skittish pupper. We highly recommend Lindsay for pupper parents in need of a loving, caring, attentive, and professional assist.”

About: I’ve been taking care of animals since the beginning of my middle school years. I got my first puppy when I was 11, and was able to do many months of research to make sure my puppy was able to get the proper training to learn the necessary commands and some tricks. I’ve learned patience and consistency not inly with but my other animals as well. As a part-time worker, I have plenty of time to dedicate to pet care. Daily, I am already engaging in walks, and having a pet companion can make it much more exciting! I prefer to keep dogs within their own environments in order to bring them the most comfort as possible. By being in their own home routines can be enforced within the comfort of their own homes

“Kaylee was always on time or early for her check in with my Cane corso. She got lots of love and attention during her visits and nice walks during the day. My home was in perfect condition while visita occurred. She left many pictures and was responsive on communication when messaging. I would book her again in a heartbeat. This was my first hiring on rover and it was a great experience. I felt at ease leaving my Luna girl and home in Kaylees hands. Thank you again!”

About: My name is Britney and I'm 35 yrs old. I was a traveling sitter for over two years and loved every moment of it. I also used to work at a doggie daycare and boarding facility for 5 years. I'm currently the proud human of 5 shih tzu's, 2 corgis, and my "old man" terrier mix. All are dog and human friendly amd love to play (except the old man). There will be plenty of play time and leashed potty breaks for your pup. I look forward to meeting your fur babies! Thank you! I have a full time job now, I work overnights so I'm only away at night during the weekdays and my partner works from home so someone is home all day. However in my clients home I will respect how you take care of your animals and follow any instructions given.

My dog is extremely social and loves other dogs but I would separate when not home just to be cautious

About: Dogs, cats, fish all pets have taught me loyalty. They are the epitome of that word, and I appreciate it so much which encourages me ever more so to treat them with care and kindness. I am a mother of 2 and wife. My spirituality is very important to me, so I need flexibility to carry out my ministry. This is perfect for that. I have a basement , most things for a cats stay and children who love pets! I also have a large back yard perfect for dog running!

About: I've lived with dogs of different breeds and sizes my entire life. My favorite thing is to make them feel loved, which I execute by giving them the care they deserve. I am a college student trying to discover what my passion is. I love dogs and want to expose myself to this field of experience. As a dog lover, I understand an owner's concern for their dog's safety and happiness. My goal is to alleviate these concerns and to ensure their dog is well taken care of so they can take care of their obligation without stress over their pets.

About: Hi! My name is Plachette, and I've lived with various pets since I was a child. My father was a dog breeder (pitbulls <3), so being surrounded by puppies and dogs is something I've become accustomed to! I have experience with dog walking and sitting multiple breeds at once and administering medication as instructed. While dog sitting at your home, I'll also tend to any messes that are made, bring your newspapers/packages/mail, and give you thorough daily updates of what's going on around the home. Upon request I'm able to provide proof of having 5 star ratings for 150+ services I've already completed for other pet parents. For dog walks, I'm capable of handling small to gigantic dogs. I can work with dogs that pull. I prefer to use a waist leash (I have my own) while walking dogs since it allows me to be hands free and have more control with your pet. Of course, if you prefer your pet's own leash, that's fine too. :) I am self-employed so I am able to make my own schedule for work days and hours. If extended stays or additional pets need longer periods of care, I can adjust to these changes. When pet owners provide me with particular details on how to care for their pets (feeding schedules, administering medication, crating, etc.), I will be a able to provide proper care for any pet.

Justin W.
“Justin’s care for pets shines through in the way he loves and looks after his own dog, Dook. As a sitter on Rover, I spent a few months walking and getting to know Dook before a few nights of boarding. Dook is such a sweet dog, though he takes a little time to feel comfortable and safe with new people. It’s clear that Justin loves him deeply—he went above and beyond to make sure Dook could be boarded with someone he trusted. Dook is very healthy for his age and clearly well cared for. I have no doubt that Justin would show the same level of care, patience, and love to any pet in his care.”

Phyllis S.
“I volunteered with Phyllis at the Humane Animal Rescue League of Pittsburgh. Through her years of experience with walking dogs she was trusted to work with dogs that were timid, shy and anxious, as well as dogs that had dog reactivity, strong dogs that still needed training to walk comfortably on a leash, and dogs that would become overstimulated on walks. I also trust Phyllis to watch and walk my own dogs, one who experiences dog reactivity on walks and can be challenging to walk due to her triggers. She is also a resource guarder and needs special attention during feeding times and whenever providing treats. Phyllis utilizes positive reinforcement to encourage preferred behavior and respects and loves dogs. She also checks in on our cats when we are out of town and has experience administering oral medication to one of my cats. I would recommend Phyllis to care for your animal family members. Their experience with her will be loving, positive, safe, and enriching.”

“Since she was a little girl animals have been attracted to Jill Jill has vast experience in caring for animals and is very kind and loving in her care of them. She just babysat our dog Rosie last week. Jill would be an excellent addition to your staff”

Evan W.
“Evan is a coworker of mine and heard me asking someone else if they could watch my cat Jasper over a long holiday weekend. He offered to watch him for me, despite it being rather inconvenient for him. Jasper is a difficult cat. He is 22 pounds and has severe play aggression and is unpredictable. He gets nervous around new people. The day after we left, Evan was sending me photos and videos of him spending time with and playing with Jasper. I appreciated how often he communicated with me (every time he went to check on him) and would send pictures and videos. Jasper was healthy and happy the whole time, and he was in good shape when we returned to him after 5 days!”
