“My dog Gigi loves it at Seyla’s place! While I’m at work I look forward to the videos of the walks and to just see how she is spending her day. The videos make my day knowing she is having a good time.”

“Rebecca took care of my two fur babies, Melo and Lola for 10 days while we were away on vacation. She sent pictures and videos on a daily basis. Couldn’t ask for better care.”

“First daycare experience with Emmanuel and my puppy had a time. Nori was in the company of other dogs which she loves. Lots of space inside and out to run and play. She was returned to me good and tired. We are looking forward to our boarding stay.”

“They were great! This is our 2nd time Jessica watched our puppy, first time daycare. Our puppy was happy and tired when he got home. She responded quick to our messages and always provided updates. Thanks Again we will definitely board or daycare with Jessica again!”

“Adriana has been an amazing sitter for Rosie! Rosie is always excited to see her, which gives me peace of mind whenever I leave her in Adriana’s care. She is responsible, reliable, and incredibly accommodating, and I always know Rosie will be well cared for. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and dependable pet sitter.”

“Jennifer was amazing and helped me out last minute when another rover sitter cancelled! She was super responsive and Spike enjoyed spending the day with her and Louis :) I would definitely book again!”

“She was great! She was very understanding and helpful since Izzy is young and was not on her best behavior. She took her on walks and feed her lunch. Larissa was very attentive. I’ll definitely use her again if she’ll have us.”

“We were visiting from out of town for our sons wedding and needed a last minute sitter. Thankfully we found Megan! Olive had a great time with Megan. She was a happy and worn out pup by the time we picked her up.”

About: What sets me apart is my genuine love for dogs and my ability to connect with them on a personal level. I have experience caring for dogs of all ages—from playful puppies who need training and structure to senior dogs who require patience, medication, and extra comfort. I’m attentive, reliable, and treat every dog like family. Your pet’s safety, happiness, and routine are always my top priorities. I’m currently taking a break from my regular work to focus on something that brings me pure joy—spending time with dogs. This allows me to give pet care my full attention, with a flexible schedule that easily adapts to your dog’s needs. Whether it’s walks, playtime, or just keeping them company, I’m all in and loving every minute of it. Whether in my home or my client’s, I create a calm, safe, and loving environment for every pet. I stick closely to their usual routine—feeding times, walks, play, and rest—so they feel secure and happy. I always keep a clean, pet-friendly space and pay attention to the little details, like favorite toys or special instructions. My goal is to make them feel like they never left home, whether they’re with me or I’m with them.
“Shayna did an amazing job with my dog! He enjoyed going to her daily and loves her dog too. I will be taking my dog again to Shayna! I definitely recommend her for the services.”

“Ann and Rick made my dog Winnie feel right at home and took great care of her during our recent very long day first visit. I received reports and photos during the day, which I very much appreciated. Even though we had done a successful meet and great beforehand and Winnie trotted into their house with only a brief look back, they felt she was a bit nervous and adjusted her day accordingly. I look forward to future bookings.”

“Christy is everything you would want your Rover host to be. Logistically she checked all the boxes living not too far from major highway I took to my office. Easy to drop off/pick up and get back on the highway again. She responded quickly when I made an inquiry about a weekly daycare hosting for my shy miniature poodle. She demonstrated kindness and patience when our Meet and Greet began later than scheduled. During his stay, Christy texted pictures of Blinky going on a long walk or playing in the backyard. Lovely family took very good care of him. On the second day, I dropped Blinky off, he rushed through the front door without looking back. To me that said a lot because Blinky was not a social butterfly by any stretch of imagination. I can whole heartily give Christy five stars, just for that alone!”

About: My first two rescues were Rottweilers my third and only child is the child that my mom blessed me with. She is a needy, loving girl but high energy so I’ve dealt with everything from couch potato to high Strong lovely I work from home and my height energy baby is used to go out multiple times a day and she is great with any dog she needs. I don’t have a fenced yard, but I am very active walking them in the neighborhood and we will always make time to go out. We are sidekick and we go walking together, dog parks together, but also she has not ever met a dog that she doesn’t love. Even those in the neighborhood that don’t get along with others love her. I do not have kids, but my nieces who are 5 to 9 or around her often so she is great with them, but I also understand those that don’t want their dog around kids so I will not bring them around them if they are uncomfortable.
“Rasmus and Elsa liked David right away. When we picked them up, they looked really happy. They had a great time with David and playing with the other puppies was perfect for further stimulating and socializing them. We’ll definitely come back!!”

About: I had two dogs growing up (Snowball and Mocha) and in recent years, have dog sat for friends, friends, and for Rover clients. It's rewarding and super fun for me! I enjoy the long walks in my neighborhood (I live in an awesome neighborhood for that) and lots of cuddles/belly rubs with the dogs I am sitting! I work from home most of the week and have plenty of time during the day for neighborhood strolls/walks with my rover pups. I love going for walks to take a break so would take the dog out at least 3 or 4 times a day with me. My husband and I live in a 2 bedroom/2 floor condo with a balcony. The dog would have access to the first floor. We have hard wood floors, a ton of really great light and are on the 3rd floor. There are no elevators in this building. We have a ton of neighbors who have dogs, an elementary school near by with a nice track/green space, and lots of side walk space for walks.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Pisgah commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MD ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 4,233 sitters in Pisgah, 85% respond to messages in under an hour.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
