About: I’ve grown up around cats and dogs my whole life but around 14 years old I got my first puppy, Bella. Since then, our furry family has grown to one more dog and three cats all of varying ages! For the last two years, I’ve been helping friends, family and my neighbors by watching their pets while they’re gone. In that time, I pet sat dogs ranging from 10lbs to 90lbs and learned how to manage routines, bath times/grooming, feeding and medication care, plus walks and play time. I am enrolled as a part-time college student, I currently have classes on Mondays and Wednesdays 8am-3pm. Outside of that, I have a lot of free time that I’m happy to spend with your pet! I can stay in the home as needed or stop by for potty breaks and feeding or walks. That means I can send updates almost any time of the day plus pictures! This includes routine medicine and eye drops for the elderly, frequent belly band changes changes for those with bladder issues, and calming treats for those fearful of storms. Im quick to learn each dogs bathroom tells to avoid any unwanted accidents. I also have fishkeeping experience with 2 freshwater fish tanks at home. So if youre fish needs feeding or water quality checks I can handle that was well. I am currently working a part time internship with flexible hours, which allows me to care for furry babies in my free time! Weekends are typically busy, however with enough notice I can make them work. About: I have been around animals for nearly all of my life, and have made it my life mission to assure the care and comfort of as many of them that come into my path as possible. As a former senior level kennel worker at a doggy daycare, a previous small animal specialist at various retail stores, and with animal shelter volunteer hours under my belt, I am surely qualified and would be elated to take care of your babies when you’re either away or have other priorities to focus on. As of a few months ago, I was working full time at a doggy daycare in Hughesville, where I fed, bathed, walked, and played with clients dogs all day. For over 2 years I was one of our two Senior staff members, meaning that I was also responsible for running the daily staff and assuring the safety and security of the pets at the facility. My additional duties included keeping track of feeding schedules, medication, and potty breaks to ensure the health of the animals as well. I love animals with all of my heart, as it is my life mission to assure each animal that crosses my path gets the maximum amount of care and love that I can give them (even if that’s just a head pat for a baby passing by!!) My baby only likes to eat at nighttime, so that’s when he is fed, as he is a small boy who would prefer to leave his food alone during the day. Understanding each individual dog, not only what nutrients they require, but how exactly they should eat as well, is very important. When we are not walking on a leash or playing in the yard, he is inside my home where we play with his favorite plushie toys! Come afternoon time, he gets one, out of a selection of delicious treats to assure his happiness and comfort throughout the day.
