“Tina was a fantastic sitter for our 10-year old pup! She is clearly a “dog person” at heart and set us at ease right away. Snowball settled in right away and acted confident and comfortable with Tina. She took him for walks and played with toys and sent us cute photos each day! It was evident Tina took excellent care of him! Tina was also quick to respond and communicated well throughout our booking. Will definitely book with Tina again!”

“We love Melissa! Been repeat boarders with her, and my dog gets excited when we turn down her street. She has been great with my works trips and sometimes last minute scheduling changes.”

“She’s the best ! I had a last minute family situation and she was able to accommodate getting my dog later in the evening and kept her longer than expected! Thank you !”

“Christianna was amazing with our pup! Very attentive and nurturing! She provided frequent updates and shared photos of her activity. I would definitely recommend her to friends and family!”

“This is our 2nd home...lol. We were out of the country for 9 days and didn't worry about our puppy at all. He had a great time and loved playing with all the other furry friends who were there for spring break. I got plenty of pics and updates from Denise and hubby. Thank you as always for taking care of our baby.”

“I can’t say enough good things about Nikki! She treated my big baby just like her own and put up with me being overly cautious before Finn’s stay with her. She is excellent at communicating and sent lots of sweet messages and pictures while we were gone. I almost can’t console Finn because he misses her and her pups! He probably can’t wait for us to go away again so he can go visit Nikki.”

“Thank you so much for taking such wonderful care of my dog while I was away. It gave me real peace of mind knowing they were in such loving and capable hands. Your patience, kindness, and attention truly mean a lot, and I could tell my dog felt comfortable and happy with you. I really appreciate the time, effort, and love you put into caring for them. Thank you again for everything!”

About: I’ve been around dogs most of my life. I currently have a Blue Great Dane named Diesel. He is great with other dogs, and we will have to do a meet and great to make sure you’re pup will get along with him also. I’m usually available unless the wife has me doing something. I spend every min I can with my dog and will show your dog the same treatment. My yard is unfenced for now, but it is 2 acres that’s at the end of a quiet neighborhood. We have plenty of room to play and go on walks.
“This was my dog-Sophie’s- first time away from family in her almost 2 years. She loved it. The large outdoor yard and Rose’s dogs made her feel welcome and a part of the pack. We would use Rose’s sitter services again for sure!”

About: I provide a calm, structured home environment along with attentive home visits. My goal is simple: for your pet to feel safe, comfortable, and genuinely cared for while you’re away. I’m home the majority of the day, which allows me to provide consistent supervision and attention. Because of this, your pup won’t be left alone for extended periods. My home is clean, pet-safe, and designed for comfort. I intentionally limit the number of dogs I board at one time to ensure each pet receives attentive, high-quality care. Located in the desirable and safe Pembrooke neighborhood, I also provide regular photo updates so you can feel confident and connected while you’re away.

“Christine was excellent with us and took great care of Burt. She was caring and compassionate, and she sent a lot of photos/videos while we were gone. Even when Burt was having some issues because of a UTI, she made sure to attend to his needs and was very patient. She gave him medicines each day as well. We're very grateful for everything Christine did for us, and Burt is thankful too. :)”
“We highly recommend Melanie and Randy. They welcomed Dean Martin and treated him like their own. Our flight home was cancelled and our arrival was almost 24 hours later than planned but Melanie and Randy were flexible and accommodated our request to extend Dean Martin's stay. It made a stressful travel situation less stressful knowing that Dean Martin was well loved and cared for. Thank you!”

About: I am an animal lover who has taken care of my own as well as friends and families pets for years. My family has cared for dogs, cats, chickens, goats, snakes, frogs, geckos, chinchillas. I am a stay at home mom, so my time is very flexible. I am able to keep pets to their daily schedules and routines. My property is ideal for a doggy vacay, we have a newly fenced in valley, a forest to explore, 2 dogs companions (can keep separate upon request), lots of squirrels to chase, and plenty to love to go around! I am able to provide an attentive home environment that a pet is used to.
“Genil is the sweetest! Thank you so much for taking care of mu puppy with my super last minute request (literally within 2 hrs). You can tell she really cares about the animals she cares for. She took care of my baby and sent pics. He came home good and tired. Lol. Would definitely recommend.”

“When I picked up Jackson, I was not sure he wanted to leave his vacation with Kathryn and her wonderful family! Sure he was excited to see us, but, then he laid down next to Kathryn as if he was feeling pretty comfortable at her home! She sent photos and write ups daily and this made me feel so much better about leaving him in her care. It was like he knew the family forever! This was the first time we went away without him in 8 years so I was a bit anxious about leaving. I would have no problems leaving him again if I have another opportunity to do so. I highly recommend Kathryn and I know he was very happy being there and well cared for. He enjoyed his daily walks and never missed a meal and perhaps, Me!!!! If there were 10 stars I would click everyone of them!”

“Kerry and her family treat our dog like absolute royalty!! He’s welcomed and cared for as if he were their own. We always pick him up happy and clearly spoiled with love. Couldn’t ask for a better sitter.”

“Was very appreciative that Donna took Kodi at the last minute when her usual border wasn't available. She seems so pleasant. Kodi was fine. I will definitely use her again if necessary. I gave her a cash tip which I always do so that they can get full benefit of it.”

About: Animals have always been a big part of my life! I've owned both dogs and cats over the years and genuinely enjoy spending time with animals of all ages and personalities. I regularly care for my parents' three dogs—including an energetic puppy—multiple times each month, so I'm comfortable with everything from playtime and long walks to keeping routines consistent and providing plenty of attention. I'm also a mom of two kids who have grown up surrounded by animals and absolutely love them. We believe pets are family, and I understand how important it is to know they're in caring, trustworthy hands when you're away. I'm an active person who loves being outside, so if your pup enjoys walks, adventures, or simply getting out to explore, I'd love to have a furry friend join me. Whether your pet wants to play, cuddle, or just have someone dependable to keep them company, I'll make sure they feel safe, loved, and well cared for. I have a flexible work schedule that allows me to work from home, giving me the ability to provide pets with consistent attention throughout the day. Whether it's walks, potty breaks, meals, playtime, or cuddles, I can easily adapt to your pet's routine and make sure they feel comfortable, loved, and cared for while you're away. Your pet's safety, comfort, and happiness are always my top priorities. I will treat your furry family member as if they were my own by following their normal routine, respecting your home, and providing plenty of love, exercise, and attention. If your dog is a little shy, consider booking a one-night trial stay! This practice run can boost your and your dog’s confidence before your trip.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Piney Point home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Piney Point.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MD ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
