“Jenny and her family were fantastic with our dog, giving periodic updates and sending pictures and video. Allowing us to be at ease while on vacation. This is a very loving home. Her and her husband (and others) took great care of our dog, giving him plenty of walks and attention…he probably had a hard time leaving!”

“Annette and Martin watched our Niko over our four day vacation. From the moment we met them for the meet n greet, it was clear that they were the PERFECT hosts to watch our baby while we were gone. They clearly love the dogs they host and were communicative every step of the way. We received pictures and saw videos of Niko's vacation and never once felt sad that we had to "leave him". Upon pick up, Niko was very relaxed (not the normal hyper dog that we pick up). He was reluctant to leave and made his rounds to his new "FRIENDS" before we left (he usually cannot wait to leave). This was hands down the best experience we've ever had with any "boarding" and will not only will I recommend dogvacay.com but will give a glowing reference specific to Annette and Martin to every dog owner I know. We WILL book again with you guys! THANKS! ** Side note** This is the perfect host for a pet parent boarding for the first time. Annette and Martin are always available and very flexible. They were in constant communication with us. They realize your dog is your "child" and they treat them as if they were their children! If you are booking a vacation be sure to book with Bark and Breakfast Inn LLC!!”

“Ryan and Barkley got along wonderfully!!!! It was great to see him so happy on the pictures Ryan sent me. Definitely will continue to have Barkley stay with Ryan, Brunson and the rest of the family!!!!”

“I just cannot say enough good things about Amy and her care for my pup Beau. Above all else, Amy and Beau really connected, and seeing how comfortable and relaxed he was with her and her family gave me the ability enjoy my trip. Amy sent pictures of Beau enjoying his stay at least once a day. So glad to finally have found my dog person!”
“Stephanie took great care of our senior dog for 3 days and 2 nights while we were away. In addition to feeding and walking her, Stephanie also gave her medication and wiped her skin per our vets orders. Our girl was very comfortable for her stay! Thank you, Stephanie!”

“Sarah was so great with our boxer, Lulu! We get nervous leaving Lulu when we go away because she gets anxious being away from us but Sarah kept us updated with multiple texts and pictures each day. It was a relief knowing she was being well taken care of and the photos reassured us that she was playing and comfortable at Sarah's house. Highly recommend!!”

“My lil’ fur babies love spending their time away with Brineydi & we love knowing they’re comfortable, safe, & having a blast while being cared for. We’ll definitely be back!”

“Christine and her husband are wonderful people. I had no doubt my dog was in good hands when I dropped her off. She communicated with me throughout my dog’s stay and responded quickly. She also sent me pictures and videos daily. Her husband even helped me bring the crate and bag to my car when I picked my dog up seeing that I was by myself and would have a hard time carrying it all. Very nice people :)”

About: I am very good with dogs, because I pay attention to their body language. Dogs communicate through their eyes, body and barks. Similar to a person using sign language. Most communication is non-verbal and I definitely pay attention and make sure I treat every furry friend with respect and love. Dogs have feelings and like to socialize in healthy environments and that is what they will get with me as your dog sitter and / or dog walker. I will take your dog walking, I will check-in on your dog and play ball or tug of war with them, if that is what they like to do, I will provide water refills and food refills, even mix food upon request and follow instructions specific to your dog's need. I like to take dogs to the park, go jogging with dogs, belly rubs, hugs and playful affection. I like making dogs feel important, so they know they matter. This way, they feel happy and fulfilled while you are working or away on vacation, or away for that day or moment running errands. I am currently an entrepreneur. Trying to start my own pet business. Served, previously in the United States Air Force. Used to have an emotional support dog for 14 years who is no longer with us due to old age and health problems. That was my peace and joy who helped me through difficult times in my life. I actually feel happy spending time with dogs. Running with dogs, playing ball with dogs, training dogs, walking dogs, dog sitting and playing, cuddles and hugs! I make dogs feel important because they are our fur babies who deserve the best life can give them! I will give your dog fresh water, food, medication; if necessary, pay attention to their body language to figure out what they need from me to feel more comfortable and supported. If you have instructions or a routine I will follow those set of guidelines. I will keep all owners well informed with updated photos and possible videos on how their fur babies are doing! If they need a bathing that is extra, but I will clean your dog thoroughly after playtime. If, you want me to take your dog to the park, I love doing walks and runs in the park with your fur baby! Get all the extra energy out, so when you come home they are well satisfied and content. I have a house and a yard. Yard is not fully fenced in yet, but currently working towards fixing it or getting a new fence. My house is dog proof to keep all fur babies safe and happy, but there are always other options available to keep your dog as comfortable as possible. Depending on the service you hire me for pertaining to your pet.
“I’ve boarded Murphy with April and her family 2x and it’s been a great experience. She always keeps me up to date with how he’s doing and he takes very long naps when he gets home - that tells me he had a lot of fun. Murphy is looking forward to his next stay!!!”

“Excellent communication from start to finish! I had the best experience from the initial meet and greet through the entire stay. Luna was in the best hands, and I loved receiving regular updates and pictures. It gave me so much peace of mind knowing she was so well cared for. I highly recommend Cindy ❤️”

About: 🐾 ONE FAMILY AT A TIME: No unfamiliar boarding dogs competing for attention. 🐶 NO RESIDENT DOGS: Your pup gets to be the dog of the house during their stay. 💻 WORK-FROM-HOME CARE: Your dog has plenty of company and attention throughout the day. 🌳 FULLY FENCED YARD: Easy, frequent outdoor time in addition to walks. 🏡 FREE ROAMING: Your dog lives alongside us, not kenneled or isolated. ❤️ FAMILY ENVIRONMENT: Walks, playtime, couch cuddles, and everyday family life. 🐕 THEIR ROUTINE, OUR PRIORITY: We follow their normal feeding, walking, sleeping, and activity schedule as closely as possible. 📸 PLENTY OF UPDATES: Photos and videos so you can relax knowing your pup is happy and comfortable. ✨ PERSONALIZED CARE: Their stay is tailored to their personality, energy level, and preferences. We're a dog-loving family of four with years of experience owning and caring for dogs. Both my husband and I grew up with family dogs, and we had our own beloved dog, Buddha, for many years before he passed away in 2021. He is the dog you see pictured in our uploaded photos. We still miss having a dog around and would love the opportunity to welcome your pup into our home and give them all the love and attention we'd give our own. ❤️🐾 We currently have no pets and only accept one dog at a time, which means your dog gets to be the center of attention while they're here! Our two school-aged kids absolutely love dogs and are excited to be involved with age-appropriate things like supervised play, filling water bowls, and joining us for walks. Mom and Dad are always the primary caregivers and responsible for all aspects of your dog's care and safety. Having been dog owners ourselves, we understand that every dog has their own personality, routine, and little quirks. We're happy to follow your dog's normal schedule as closely as possible, including feeding, walks, potty breaks, favorite toys, sleeping arrangements, and whatever helps them feel comfortable and at home. We also know how much trust it takes to leave your dog in someone else's care. You can expect plenty of photos and updates so you can relax knowing your pup is safe, happy, and getting lots of affection. Because we have children, we only accept dogs who are friendly and comfortable around kids, reliably house-trained, and have no history of aggression. Whenever possible, we'd also love to do a quick meet-and-greet or video intro before your dog's first stay to make sure we're a great fit for one another. We want you to enjoy your time away without worrying, and for your dog to feel like they're part of our family while they're here. ❤️🐶 I work from home every day, so having a pup here fits naturally into our daily routine and means they'll have plenty of company, attention, and love throughout the day. I can easily accommodate potty breaks, playtime, snuggles, and walks around my work schedule, and they'll have someone nearby for most of the day. When the kids get home from school/camp, there are two more very enthusiastic dog lovers ready to give them even more attention! We're happy to follow your dog's normal feeding, walking, potty, and sleep schedule as closely as possible so their stay feels comfortable and familiar. We currently have no pets of our own and only accept one dog at a time, so your pup gets lots of individual attention and won't need to adjust to unfamiliar resident animals. We know how reassuring it is to actually see that your dog is happy and doing well while you’re away. During each stay, we’ll send you plenty of photos and videos so you can see how your dog is settling in and enjoying their time with us. We’ll also keep you updated on the important parts of their day, including meals, walks, potty breaks, playtime and medications when applicable. We want you to be able to relax and enjoy your time away knowing your dog is happy, comfortable, and receiving the same loving care you’d want for them at home.
“We hate to leave Gracie but we felt secure that she was in good hands with Russell! Russell sent us updates daily with pictures and took great care of Gracie!! Gracie enjoyed the big yard and playing with a new dog friend! We are very grateful to Russell for taking such good care of Gracie while we were away!!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Pine Valley
Would trust Amber with June again in a heartbeat! June is a recent shelter rescue, so I was nervous about leaving her with someone new, but I couldn't have asked for a better sitter. She took wonderful care of June the whole time, sent updates and photos so I never had to worry, and clearly put in the effort to help June feel safe and comfortable in a new environment. You can tell she’s more of a dog person than a people person, but in the best way possible because June warmed up to her fairly quickly and seemed so relaxed and happy to stay with Amber. June got along great with her animals. Great communication from start to finish, and she gave so much love to my girl.

Probably our fourth stay with Annette and Martin. They are fantastic! Our very active, friendly spaniel loves them and we get pictures and reels that show us just how comfortable and happy he is. Pretty sure he gets so much attention he thinks he's on vacation. I can't see why would use anyone else.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Pine Valley home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Pine Valley.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Pine Valley sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NJ ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
