About: I’m ready, available, and I can get to you quick in case of emergency, need to get to work, or just want some time out!! I’m currently looking for work so my whole day is free to let your fur babies out or even to come to your home and watch them where they are the most comfortable!! I trained my dog when he was much younger to pee on the puppy pads, then eventually he was trained to only go outside. I have plenty of room for your dogs and cats to roam and play with lots of toys and love!! I have one small crate if needed.

Anarra kept in close contact with me during my three-day absence. She was really interactive with my dog, and he loved it. I'll definitely book her again.

About: Since I was a little girl, pets and animals have been a massive part of my life. My parents also shared a love for animals, leading to a house full of pets. Some of my friends call me 'the animal whisperer' because I would always pet an animal everywhere I went. I have a part-time job scheduled only three days out of the week, leaving ample time to care for animals. During my free time, I usually practice my instrument and learned that dogs love live music. If a dog requires special attention, he/she is my first priority. I'll take my client's pet on a walk in the morning to enjoy fresh air and sunlight. After meals are distributed and digested, playtime for a few hours, then back outside for another walk. Depending on how many times my client's animal eats a day, I will follow such instructions and end the day with another walk.

About: I’ve always owned a dog since being a young girl. I have raised puppies, owned ferrets, house watched birds, and have my very own doggo that I consider my own child (she’s got her own closet of clothes and is spoiled beyond belief). Our daily walk includes her breathing in fresh air as I rollerblade and then a round about walk/run to keep her in shape. I am a teacher so I work Monday-Friday but am free weekends. After school I dedicate my time to my fur baby. Lots of love and pets to give after a busy work day. Summer is neigh so I will be home 24/7 to give extra snuggles and the best dog vacation EVER for your pupper (or feline friend). I have a fenced in yard and a baby gate to allow for play in the living room and kitchen area. Doggos are allowed on furniture and plenty of dog beds and toys to play with. Owners are always allowed to bring a crate or any dog items to help your pupper feel more comfortable and acclimated.

About: Dogs have been the light and joy of my life since I was born, but when I was 10 I finally got a dog to call my own! After our family dog had puppies and refused to nurse, I spent countless days and nights bottle feeding her litter until I proved to my parents I could keep one for myself. After that, I potty trained, socialized, played with, and took that puppy on walks all by myself. Since then she’s unfortunately passed over the rainbow bridge, but friends and family constantly entrust the care of their dogs to me while they’re away! I’ve spent a lot of time with all breeds of dogs, ranging from puppies to senior dogs with dementia, and I love them and care for them all like they’re my own. I’m currently a paraprofessional for the SPED department of an elementary school, but I’m hoping to spend the summer caring for your fur-babies! School starts back up August 4, so until then I’ll be completely free to tend to any and all of your baby’s needs day and night. When it comes to caring for your babies in their own homes, I know there are two different levels of trust that need to be earned: trusting someone with your pets and trusting someone in your home. I take both responsibilities very seriously. I am more than willing and capable of adhering to any rules, routines, or special instructions you may have, and I will do my best to keep your pets on the schedule they know and love. Whether that means feeding times, medication administration, walks, playtime, litter box cleaning, or simply providing companionship, I am committed to making their time without you as comfortable and stress-free as possible. I have my own reliable transportation and can arrive on time for scheduled visits, check-ins, or overnight stays. I will also keep you updated with messages, photos, and videos so you can have peace of mind while you’re away. Above all, I treat every animal as if they were my own, ensuring they are safe, loved, and well cared for in the environment where they feel most secure—their home. My goal is for you to return to happy pets, a well-maintained home, and complete confidence in the care they received.

About: I can't wait to meet your furry loved one! I absolutely love spending time with animals, especially dogs and cats. After losing our first born 'child,' a pit bull mix named Bella, I was finally able to adopt again in May 2019. Shelby is a blue heeler mix, and she loves playing with other dogs. My husband and three young kids also share my love of dogs. If you choose to allow your dog to stay at my house, it will be spoiled and snuggled and treated like a king or queen! We do have 2 cats, but they always hide out upstairs when we have doggy guests. You are welcome to come and meet us first if you are interested in my service. I look forward to working with you!

I follow your instructions regarding feeding, exercise, and any other specific needs their pets may have. It's important to ensure that the pets are kept safe and comfortable while their owners are away, and to provide regular updates and communication to the owners about how their pets are doing. About: I’m a lifelong pet lover with hands-on experience caring for cats and dogs of all personalities and needs. During college, I volunteered for four years at a cat sanctuary, where I helped with daily feeding routines, administering medications, monitoring health, and socializing them to prepare for adoption. Whether your pet needs playtime, meds, or just a calm presence while you’re away, I’ll make sure they feel safe, cared for, and loved. I’m currently spending most of my time studying for med school applications, so I have a flexible schedule and can plan my days around feedings, check-ins, and quality time. I’m very used to sticking to routines and making sure pets get consistent, reliable care. In a client’s home, I focus on maintaining a familiar environment by providing timely feedings, fresh water, medication as needed, litter box maintenance, and attentive observation of behavior or health changes. I also make sure pets receive appropriate playtime, enrichment, and calm companionship. My experience volunteering at a cat sanctuary has taught me to be patient, detail-oriented, and responsive to each pet’s individual needs.

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of June 2026, there are 2,060 sitters on Rover offering Dog Walking across Pine Island. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Whether you want a solo or group walk depends on your dog's personality. Solo walks can be beneficial for dog parents with reactive dogs, puppies, or dogs who are anxious around unfamiliar animals. Many dog walkers on Rover offer private, one-on-one walking services.

Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Pine Island. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.

For dog walking services, you can request a report card update with specifics about your dog’s walk. Report cards require photos and can include a map of the walking route , total walk time, poop and pee breaks, and distance traveled, so you know exactly where your dog has been walking in Pine Island.

Got specific details you'd like the dog walker to include? Message them in the app before your dog’s walk begins.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every walker on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

Yes, you can find walkers who have experience with handling special pet needs in Pine Island. On Rover:

  • 92% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 98% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
