Watched our 3 dogs on short notice. We have two 70lb pups who are 12yrs old and a 2yr old Corgi. Needless to say they have different needs but they were in good hands 🙂. All 3 of them were walked twice a day (a literal handful) and we received lots of pictures! Gem’s teenage daughters handled the booking and they were very reliable and communicative.

About: I’ve grown up around dogs my whole life! We had a family dog when I was growing up and I would house/ pet sit for my neighbors when they would go out of town. I currently have three fur babies. A 2 year old Cane Corso/ Stafford Terrier named Moose, a 2 year old pit bull mix named Oakley and a cat named Romeo! Having three animals under one roof has been quite the experience but I’ve loved every moment of the chaos. Since I currently work from home full time I’m available Monday- Sunday most weeks and my schedule is pretty flexible. If you have any questions please feel free to reach out. Working from home allows me to keep a close eye on your baby and adhere to whatever potty break or play schedule you have set.

There are people who simply provide a service, and then there are people who become an indispensable part of your life. Ariel is firmly in the latter category. She became a trusted partner during a particularly difficult chapter while I was recovering from major surgery. Knowing that Milo was in her care brought a level of reassurance that is hard to overstate. Aerial is dependability personified, always on time, often to the minute, with clear, prompt communication and remarkable flexibility whenever last-minute changes arose. Not once did those adjustments come with the slightest hint of frustration or attitude. She simply found a way to make things work. What truly sets her apart, however, is her relationship with dogs. She genuinely loves Milo, and it’s obvious he feels the same. She has the rare combination of warmth, confidence, and deep experience that allows her to take charge naturally. Her calm, capable presence inspires trust, and you immediately know your dog is in exceptionally good hands. My gratitude for Ariel goes far beyond dog walking. She provided peace of mind when I needed it most, and for that I will always be thankful. I recommend her without reservation to anyone looking for someone who will care for their dog with professionalism, reliability, and genuine affection. Absolute Gem!!

About: I’ve had pets all my life big dogs, little dogs, and even cats so caring for animals has always been a natural part of who I am. I’m comfortable with all breeds and temperaments, and I also have experience safely medicating pets who need a little extra care. While you’re away, your pets will be in loving hands and will have a great time, whether that means snuggling, playing, or exploring. I’d be happy to exercise your dog with walks, runs, and plenty of fetch to keep them happy and healthy. My goal is to make sure your pets feel safe, loved, and well cared for every moment you’re gone. I work 12 hour shifts on the Sunday-Tuesday and unfortunately am unable to leave work to check on animals.. but I do have flexible availability the rest of the week to check on animals so if your pet is okay for 12 hour days I would love to watch them on my work days as well but if not I would love to watch them on my off days too!☺️ Just because I work late shifts doesn’t mean I wouldn’t be thrilled to give your pet all the love and attention they need when I am off! When I’m caring for pets in a client’s home, I focus on keeping your pet’s routine as familiar and comfortable as possible. I follow all feeding, medication, and care instructions exactly as provided, and I make sure your home stays clean and secure during my stay. Your pet will get plenty of attention, affection, and companionship so they feel relaxed and at ease while you’re away. For dog walking, I make safety and enjoyment my top priorities. I walk at your dog’s pace, whether they prefer a relaxed stroll or a more energetic outing. I’m happy to include exercise like running or playing fetch if your dog enjoys it. After each walk, I ensure they have fresh water, are settled comfortably, and I provide updates so you always know how they’re doing. My goal is to give you peace of mind and make sure your pets feel safe, happy, and well cared for right in the comfort of their own home.

About: I have always loved animals, and my experience comes from both caring for my own dog and pet sitting for family and friends. I’m the proud owner of a 2-year-old Cavapoo, which has given me firsthand experience with daily walks, feeding, grooming, playtime, training reinforcement, and recognizing when something is not quite right. In addition to caring for my own dog, I’ve looked after dogs of different breeds, sizes, and personalities including Boxers and Goldendoodles, for stays lasting from a day to as long as a week. I’m comfortable maintaining each dog’s routine, including feeding, walks, potty breaks, playtime, administering medications if instructions are provided and giving them plenty of attention and affection while their family is away. I understand that every dog has a unique personality and needs. My goal is to make them feel safe, comfortable, and loved while giving you peace of mind through reliable care and regular updates with photos Pet care fits naturally into my weekly routine since I already care for my own dog every day. I have a flexible schedule that allows me to provide morning, afternoon, evening, and weekend care. Whether it’s walks, drop-in visits, or overnight stays, I’m committed to making sure each pet receives the attention, exercise, and companionship they need while sticking to their usual routine. When caring for pets in your home, I do my best to keep their routine as normal and stress-free as possible. I’ll follow your instructions for feeding, walks, potty breaks, playtime, medications (if needed), and any other preferences to make sure your pet feels comfortable and well cared for in their familiar environment. I treat every pet as if they were my own, providing plenty of attention, patience, affection, and exercise based on their individual needs. I’ll also keep you updated with messages and photos so you can have peace of mind knowing your pet is happy, safe, and receiving the care they deserve.

About: I have owned cats, dogs, birds, reptiles, fish, horses and many other creatures. I have more than 45 years experience with animals and I have also worked in an emergency animal hospital (VCA Spring Branch). I have tons of patience and free time and would love to help out with your pets. I own a tabby cat currently so I am always taking care of her in some way. I am neurodivergent and a bit awkward from C-PTSD, ADHD and mild autism spectrum disorder. I am more than capable of doing a great job with your animal kiddos and probably more in touch with them than humans because they are predictable which is a nice change from humans. I am trying to help my mom in any way I can to send my 18 yr old twins to college even if that just means taking care of myself more without help from her since she and I have coparented for 18 years and she has always been my biggest inspiration and supporter. I have a fenced yard. There are tons of walking trails in the area. I am very relaxed around animals and just love to give attention and companionship. Pets are allowed to be inside and outside. Whatever makes them comfortable. They cannot get out of my yard and I would never leave them unattended outside. I love to meet pets before staying with them even if more than once because their security and comfort allow us all to stay safe and secure especially if i am coming in their house with their humans not there. Please let me know how they act on walks when they run into new people, kids and animals.

About: I can't wait to meet your furry loved one! I absolutely love spending time with animals, especially dogs and cats. After losing our first born 'child,' a pit bull mix named Bella, I was finally able to adopt again in May 2019. Shelby is a blue heeler mix, and she loves playing with other dogs. My husband and three young kids also share my love of dogs. If you choose to allow your dog to stay at my house, it will be spoiled and snuggled and treated like a king or queen! We do have 2 cats, but they always hide out upstairs when we have doggy guests. You are welcome to come and meet us first if you are interested in my service. I look forward to working with you!

About: Hello, my name is Hunter. Thanks for dropping by! (Yes the baby pic in my bio is me!) 🦴 • A little bit about me: I have taken care of animals my entire life, mostly dogs but I’ve grown a HUGE soft spot for cats. I am available 7 days a week, whether it’s a walk or a drop in visit! Growing up I had mini dachshunds, and large mutts, so I can care for big dogs just as well as small doggies! I understand that every dog and cat is special and has different needs, and I can accommodate to any of those! I am available all week, but I keep my calendar updated just in case. I appreciate your consideration. I know finding the right person for your fur baby is not an easy task, but I would love to help ease your worry and give your dog or cat an unforgettable play date!! I currently work part time, so I am almost always available. If I could say only one thing about me, is that I will always make time for pets! I respect boundaries in your home. Point blank period. I want you to have peace of mind knowing your fur baby is having the time of their life, and don't worry, I will also be having the time of my life.

About: Taking care of dogs since I was 8 years old. Used to read Cesar Millan’s books extensively when I was younger to learn to walk my own 50 pound dogs without a leash as a kid! I had a pit bull mix, Shih Tzu, and an American bulldog (now in doggie heaven), so you can trust I’ll be patient and kind with more older dogs. Currently own a rambunctious three-legged Jack Russell terrier and an energetic Havanese mix. I am very flexible with hours! I know my schedule in advance. I will be accommodating to your needs and schedule to assist you the best I can. I have a big heart and will love your dog as my own! I am calm yet assertive with my own dogs when needed to be. Whether you want a solo or group walk depends on your dog's personality. Solo walks can be beneficial for dog parents with reactive dogs, puppies, or dogs who are anxious around unfamiliar animals. Many dog walkers on Rover offer private, one-on-one walking services.

Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Monaville. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.

For dog walking services, you can request a report card update with specifics about your dog’s walk. Report cards require photos and can include a map of the walking route , total walk time, poop and pee breaks, and distance traveled, so you know exactly where your dog has been walking in Monaville.

Got specific details you'd like the dog walker to include? Message them in the app before your dog’s walk begins.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every walker on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

Yes, you can find walkers who have experience with handling special pet needs in Monaville. On Rover:

  • 89% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 99% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 97% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
