“Brittany is kind, responsive, clear, thorough, thoughtful, communicative, and very appreciated in our household! She’s walked my dog 15+ times & we will absolutely be requesting her services again in the future. Highly recommend!!”

“Watched our 3 dogs on short notice. We have two 70lb pups who are 12yrs old and a 2yr old Corgi. Needless to say they have different needs but they were in good hands 🙂. All 3 of them were walked twice a day (a literal handful) and we received lots of pictures! Gem’s teenage daughters handled the booking and they were very reliable and communicative.”

“There are people who simply provide a service, and then there are people who become an indispensable part of your life. Ariel is firmly in the latter category. She became a trusted partner during a particularly difficult chapter while I was recovering from major surgery. Knowing that Milo was in her care brought a level of reassurance that is hard to overstate. Aerial is dependability personified, always on time, often to the minute, with clear, prompt communication and remarkable flexibility whenever last-minute changes arose. Not once did those adjustments come with the slightest hint of frustration or attitude. She simply found a way to make things work. What truly sets her apart, however, is her relationship with dogs. She genuinely loves Milo, and it’s obvious he feels the same. She has the rare combination of warmth, confidence, and deep experience that allows her to take charge naturally. Her calm, capable presence inspires trust, and you immediately know your dog is in exceptionally good hands. My gratitude for Ariel goes far beyond dog walking. She provided peace of mind when I needed it most, and for that I will always be thankful. I recommend her without reservation to anyone looking for someone who will care for their dog with professionalism, reliability, and genuine affection. Absolute Gem!!”

About: I’ve grown up around dogs my whole life! We had a family dog when I was growing up and I would house/ pet sit for my neighbors when they would go out of town. I currently have three fur babies. A 2 year old Cane Corso/ Stafford Terrier named Moose, a 2 year old pit bull mix named Oakley and a cat named Romeo! Having three animals under one roof has been quite the experience but I’ve loved every moment of the chaos. Since I currently work from home full time I’m available Monday- Sunday most weeks and my schedule is pretty flexible. If you have any questions please feel free to reach out. Working from home allows me to keep a close eye on your baby and adhere to whatever potty break or play schedule you have set.
About: I’ve had pets all my life big dogs, little dogs, and even cats so caring for animals has always been a natural part of who I am. I’m comfortable with all breeds and temperaments, and I also have experience safely medicating pets who need a little extra care. While you’re away, your pets will be in loving hands and will have a great time, whether that means snuggling, playing, or exploring. I’d be happy to exercise your dog with walks, runs, and plenty of fetch to keep them happy and healthy. My goal is to make sure your pets feel safe, loved, and well cared for every moment you’re gone. I work 12 hour shifts on the Sunday-Tuesday and unfortunately am unable to leave work to check on animals.. but I do have flexible availability the rest of the week to check on animals so if your pet is okay for 12 hour days I would love to watch them on my work days as well but if not I would love to watch them on my off days too!☺️ Just because I work late shifts doesn’t mean I wouldn’t be thrilled to give your pet all the love and attention they need when I am off! When I’m caring for pets in a client’s home, I focus on keeping your pet’s routine as familiar and comfortable as possible. I follow all feeding, medication, and care instructions exactly as provided, and I make sure your home stays clean and secure during my stay. Your pet will get plenty of attention, affection, and companionship so they feel relaxed and at ease while you’re away. For dog walking, I make safety and enjoyment my top priorities. I walk at your dog’s pace, whether they prefer a relaxed stroll or a more energetic outing. I’m happy to include exercise like running or playing fetch if your dog enjoys it. After each walk, I ensure they have fresh water, are settled comfortably, and I provide updates so you always know how they’re doing. My goal is to give you peace of mind and make sure your pets feel safe, happy, and well cared for right in the comfort of their own home.

“Amina has been a saving grace by helping us care for our foster dog when we have to be away for long periods of time. She gives him great care and sends us great pictures.”

About: Cat mom, foster dog parent, and animal shelter volunteer experienced with dogs and cats of all ages, including seniors, anxious pets, and those requiring medication. I treat every pet like family, providing dependable care and personalized attention🫶🏼 Your pet's care, routine, and happiness will always be my top priority. I'll work with their feeding, exercise, playtime, and daily schedule to help them feel comfortable and at ease. As a devoted dog and cat parent myself, I always strive to provide not only the best care for my own pets, but also for the pets of family, friends, and clients who trust me with their beloved companions. I understand firsthand how difficult it can be to leave your pets behind while you're away, and how important it is to find someone you can trust. My goal is to ensure your pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved while giving you peace of mind during your time away.

“She is absolutely amazing. I have already booked her for other services and recommended her to others. Sweetest individual and takes the upmost care of your pet like they’re her own!🤍 She’s also very flexible worth is amazing as my schedule sometimes changes, she’s there when I need her!!”

About: I have owned cats, dogs, birds, reptiles, fish, horses and many other creatures. I have more than 45 years experience with animals and I have also worked in an emergency animal hospital (VCA Spring Branch). I have tons of patience and free time and would love to help out with your pets. I own a tabby cat currently so I am always taking care of her in some way. I am neurodivergent and a bit awkward from C-PTSD, ADHD and mild autism spectrum disorder. I am more than capable of doing a great job with your animal kiddos and probably more in touch with them than humans because they are predictable which is a nice change from humans. I am trying to help my mom in any way I can to send my 18 yr old twins to college even if that just means taking care of myself more without help from her since she and I have coparented for 18 years and she has always been my biggest inspiration and supporter. I have a fenced yard. There are tons of walking trails in the area. I am very relaxed around animals and just love to give attention and companionship. Pets are allowed to be inside and outside. Whatever makes them comfortable. They cannot get out of my yard and I would never leave them unattended outside. I love to meet pets before staying with them even if more than once because their security and comfort allow us all to stay safe and secure especially if i am coming in their house with their humans not there. Please let me know how they act on walks when they run into new people, kids and animals.

About: I treat every pet as if they were my own. As a lifelong pet owner, I understand the anxiety of leaving your furry family member behind, so I prioritize trust and transparency. My special experience includes: · The Puppy Phase: I've raised several puppies of my own and have endless patience for their high energy and training needs. I'm happy to maintain your schedule and work on any skills you're practicing. · Comfort with Seniors: I have a soft spot for senior pets. I'm experienced in providing comfort care, giving oral and topical medications, and adapting activities to their pace—whether that's a short, gentle stroll or just some quiet lap time. · I See the Details: I'm not just there to fill a bowl. I notice small changes in appetite or behavior, and I'll always keep you informed. Your pet's well-being is my highest priority. I work a hybrid remote schedule, which gives me a very flexible and pet-friendly schedule. · My daily routine accommodates pets: I'm home throughout the day for frequent potty breaks, playtime, and companionship. I can easily adhere to any specific feeding or walking schedule your pet requires. · It's a positive break for me too: Stepping away from my desk for a midday walk is a great way for both me and your dog to get fresh air and exercise. · My evenings are open to pets: After work, my focus is on longer walks, engaged play, and providing plenty of affection. Pet care isn't something I squeeze in; it's a central and enjoyable part of my daily life. Since I am the owner of three large, active dogs myself, I have experience managing high-energy breeds and ensuring their safety and fulfillment. In short, I care for pets with the same level of attention, expertise, and love that I give my own three dogs. You can leave knowing your pets are not just being checked on, but are truly being cared for by an experienced professional.
About: Growing up, my family used to always foster animals and provide cat and dog-sitting/boarding/etc. for the local animal hospital as well as friends/family/neighbors. We personally had 7 pets, at one point (three dogs and four cats who were all best friends). To this day, I’m the designated cat and dog-sitter for all of my friends. Everybody knows I love watching their pets and will spoil them if their mom/dad is okay with it. It’s honestly such a treat for me to get to spend the day/week/etc. caring for and hanging out with animals! Currently, I have one cat (Baby) who is 14 years old and has been a part of my family since she was a kitten (and since I was a child). I have a large house with a huge yard. So, I have the ability and space to care for additional animals (including keeping them apart from my own, if desired). I currently work part-time and am taking a step away from my professional career. I really do find so much joy when I’m with dogs and cats, and it brings me so much happiness to spend time with animals. Due to the loss of a loved one recently, I have decided to focus more on what is truly important in life and take a break from the stressful office-work life. So my schedule is fairly open! I have a large yard that is completely fenced off away from the road and private from my neighbors. I live in a spacious house in a very safe and great neighborhood. I have one cat (14 years old) that I've had since childhood. My cat (Baby) has her own room that she spends the day in/sleeps in (though I leave the door open for her to roam the house, if she wants to, throughout the day). If I do have a pet who will spend the day with me, I will typically leave her room door closed and keep the animals apart. Baby is very friendly, sweet, and docile, and she is wonderful with other animals if they would also like to be friends with her (and so long as the pet parent is okay with me introducing Baby to their pet). If another pet does not seem to want to meet/befriend/mingle with her, or shows no interest in getting to know each other, Baby is very polite and respectful, and she will simply leave them alone/follow their lead. Baby grew up among three other cats and three dogs (the family pets we had in my childhood home) all at once. So, she gets along really well with both other dogs and other cats; and, she has somewhat of a hybrid dog/cat personality, which makes for very cute and entertaining interactions as she joyfully will play with, sleep next to, and welcome any pet visitor or animal guest we have in the house whether they're a fellow cat or a large dog. Again, of course, if a pet parent prefers that their pet is not introduced to other animals, or requests that I keep Baby separate from their pet, I act accordingly and am sure to respect their wishes -- keeping the two away from one another at all times and for the entire duration of their stay in our home. Any questions, please feel free to ask :)

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
