“I felt so comfortable having Kris do drop-ins to care for my pets while I was out of the country for a week! The regular updates after each visit were so reassuring, and I trusted that he would let me know about any major issues (luckily, there weren't any!)”

About: I have 3 dogs ranging from 1-10 1/2 years of age. We have done the puppy stage three times so I’m used to that and willing to help. I know how stressful it can be if you need to go out of town and still have a puppy at home that needs a little more attention, let me help you with this! I’m not afraid of any dogs I just need to meet them first before agreeing to a job just so that we know it’ll be a good fit. I’m currently working full time 12 hr days. So I will not schedule myself when I’m working unless of course this works for you. I’m just looking to see if I can help some people while they travel or need someone to come and check on their pets while they are away. I currently live on 2.5 acres so having dogs come to my house will not be a good fit. We have 3 dogs and sometimes sit for family and friends and their dogs come over and we closely watch them while outside so they don’t venture off into the woods. Right now I’m just looking to see if I can help with checking in on pets or walking them or even possibly house sitting if need be. I know how important routine and familiarity is important so I would like to meet the pets with the owners before agreeing to a job and this way we can make sure the pets are comfortable with me and also we can go over dos and don’ts with your pets.

About: Hi! I’ve grown up with pets my whole life and have always loved being around animals. Caring for them comes naturally to me, and I understand how important it is to know your pets are safe, happy, and well cared for while you’re away. I’ve been a trusted friend for many people when they need someone reliable to watch their animals, whether that means feeding, walking, playing, or just keeping them company. I treat every pet like they’re my own and make sure they feel comfortable and loved. I’m responsible, attentive, and enjoy getting outside for walks and fresh air with dogs. Whether your pet needs exercise, playtime, or calm companionship, I’m happy to provide caring and dependable support while you’re away. I work remote and choose my own hours which gives me plenty of flexibility to care for pets around your schedule. I’ve grown up with cats and dogs and have been a trusted friend for many when they need someone reliable to look after their animals. I’m responsible, attentive, and love spending time outdoors, playing, and keeping pets happy and comfortable while their humans are away. When I care for pets in your home, I make sure to follow their routine closely so they feel safe, comfortable, and happy. I provide feeding, walks or playtime, litter box or potty care, and lots of attention and companionship. I respect your home and any rules you have, keep everything tidy, and send updates so you can feel at ease while you’re away. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness are always my top priority.

“Our normal cat sitter was having a new baby while we were going out of town, so we had to find someone new. I found Rebecca after another sitter that I had lined up backed out and I was so glad I did. She did a great job! I also cat sit for Rover, and Rebecca gave the wonderful care that I always try to give my own clients. We appreciated the notes, and pictures from each day that she visited. My kids were upset about leaving their 3 kittens for so long, but they felt better seeing that they were in great hands with Rebecca. I will definitely use Rebecca again and recommend to others families with cats.”

“Our fur babies highly recommend Brandon. We had two day visits in preparation for an upcoming week stay. Brandon is dependable, patient, and just a great guy. Our sheepadoodle doesn’t warm up to strangers very easily. Brandon took special care to gain his trust. I feel confident that our babies and home will be safe while we’re gone. 🐾❤️”

“Sierra was responsive, friendly and arrived on time for each of 3 walks we booked. She took good care of our senior dog, sent pictures and was in good communication. Much appreciated!”

“Veyonce is a very sweet loving person.. My animals really enjoyed having her visit for the 10 days I was away. Veyonce is very responsible and took very good care of my animals.. I have 2 94lb Labradors and 2 cats, she very reliable and capable. Veyonce sent me pictures daily that felt like balm for my heart since I was missing my babies. I would definitely use Veyonce again.”

About: I have my own dogs and I’ve watched my families dogs as well. I’d say I definitely have experience in taking care of them so it’s not a worry. I’m a full-time student with availability Sunday through Tuesday. My schedule is limited, but I’d love to spend time caring for your furry friends! I offer lots of play time and one on one time with your pets. I’ll keep them safe, fed, and most importantly have fun 💖
“Shauna was great with my two cats. On her drop in visits she respected the very shy personality of one of my cats, and gave lots of love to my other more people loving cat. I especially appreciated the care she took with my asthmatic cat, to do her best to give him his medicine even when he was a little difficult.”

About: I don't like seeing pets alone when their owners are away, so I love keeping them company! I make them feel comfortable in my home. As an animal lover and a deaf person, I appreciate having pets around for companionship. My schedule is available in anytime. Just let me know if you want me watch your pets as longer I don’t mind. I love to help. I always respect your home’s rule with your pets. As long you let me know with your concerns. I love to check your pets to make sure they’re ok.
“I gave Claire a very involved, complicated assignment with multiple types of critters to care for and she did a great job. She handled some unexpected complications very well and with plenty of good communication. I'll be asking her back!”

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Pigeon Springs. On Rover:
- 96% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
