I do work as a veterinary assistant but I have a set schedule that allows me to be work another job. I have a create if needed. I have cat and dog proofed my home. I have a quiet room for birds and rodents if need be that away from the fur babies. I leash walk dogs only. I am willing to leash walk cats but only by request. About: All my life I’ve been obsessed with dogs 🐶 When I was finishing up nursing school, I needed to find some part time work to help make ends meet. I found a job as a kennel technician at a commercial dog boarding facility - where I mostly cleaned up to 36 dogs daily messes and gave them social enrichment. I quickly jumped up the short ladder of management and took over as CEO right around my first year mark of employment. I have cared for hundreds, possibly a thousand plus dogs in the last half of my entire lifetime. I’ve worked hard to help dogs and owners alike understand eachother better - communication often needs no words. I specialize in “project pups”, socialization and reactivity. I’ve taken care of newborn puppies to teenage obedience school dropouts - through the medically fragile & elderly pooches on palliative care & absolutely everything in between. I’ve worked in a rescue as an adoption coordinator and had the extreme pleasure of helping people and pooches find their forever spaces together. Along with rescuing over a dozen dogs of my own over the years & nursing several back to health from horrific conditions. Dogs are my passion - simple as that. Nothing makes me happier than helping a dog & owner relationship thrive. I am a stay at home mom, my boys are 2 & 3 years old. They’ve been raised around dogs & already have learned a healthy respect for their space. I am hyper vigilant & always err on the extreme side of caution for everyone’s safety - especially when it comes to those tricky resources. Other than weekly appointments on Mondays - we have a very flexible and open schedule. Our yard is fully fenced with 6 foot - reinforced wood fencing. Gates are double locked to keep toddlers from opening them - dogs too. I have a 10 year old spayed female border collie that I picked from her litter at 3 weeks old. She’s my right hand gal and socially bulletproof when it comes to hanging out with her furry friends. I often used her as the “Ice Breaker” dog when I ran the boarding facility - meaning she did all the temperament testing for any newly boarded dogs we were socially unsure about. We have multiple baby gates, and crate option for separation of space. A dog door built into our back door leading into our fully fenced, toddlerized but maintained, grassy residential yard on a quarter acre. We live in a very quiet tiny town on an even quieter little street, perfect for safely regulated walks and training opportunities.
About: Growing up, my family fostered more than 10 dogs, giving me experience with dogs of many breeds, personalities, and care needs. Combined with over 10 years of caring for animals, this taught me the patience, consistency, and attention every pet deserves. Hi! I'm Jaedyn, and animals have been a big part of my life for as long as I can remember. Growing up, my family fostered more than 10 dogs, and I loved helping care for them. Being around so many different breeds, personalities, and energy levels taught me that every pet is unique and deserves patience, consistency, and individualized care. Beyond dogs and cats, I also have years of experience caring for rabbits, guinea pigs, frogs, and other small animals. I raised, bred, and showed rabbits through 4-H, where I learned the importance of recognizing health concerns, maintaining consistent routines, and building trust with animals through calm, attentive care. I'm especially comfortable with shy or nervous pets and enjoy taking the time to earn their trust at their own pace. Whether your pet is energetic and loves adventure or prefers quiet companionship, I'll meet them where they're most comfortable. With my flexible schedule, I'm able to give pets plenty of attention while you're away. I'll treat your pet like they're my own, keep you updated with photos and messages, and do my best to make sure both you and your pet feel completely at ease. My schedule is very flexible, allowing me to accommodate morning, afternoon, evening, and weekend visits. Because I volunteer part-time, I'm able to adjust my schedule around your pet's routine whenever possible. Whether that means multiple potty breaks, long walks, playtime, medication, or overnight house sitting, my goal is to keep their day as normal as possible while you're away. For house sitting, I can often spend the majority of the day with your pet if that's something they'd benefit from. If I'll need to step away, I'll always communicate that with you beforehand so there are no surprises. Your pet's safety, comfort, and routine are always my top priorities. Before every booking, I take time to learn their normal schedule, favorite activities, medications, feeding routine, and anything else that helps them feel comfortable while you're away. I'm especially patient with shy or nervous pets and understand that some animals need a little extra time to warm up to someone new. I never rush interactions and always let pets build trust at their own pace. During walks and visits, I'm careful about securely attaching leashes before opening doors, checking gates, and paying close attention to my surroundings. In your home, I'll treat your space with the same respect I'd want someone to show mine, following your instructions carefully and making sure everything is secure before I leave. You'll also receive regular updates and plenty of photos so you can relax knowing your pet is happy, safe, and well cared for.

About: • Veterinary student • Fear Free • *pending BLS/ALS RECOVER CPR certification coming 05/16* • • Transparent, reliable, and attentive care backed by extensive clinical experience • I’m Jennifer, a 2nd yr veterinary student at Oregon State University with an interest in small animal medicine and feline-centered care. I have 10+ years of hands-on experience working with (primarily) dogs and cats in both shelter and clinical environments. I began volunteering at the Arizona Humane Society, where I provided daily care and enrichment for incoming and resident animals. I later worked as a veterinary assistant in a small animal general practice clinic for 4–5 years, gaining extensive experience with patient handling, client communication, and medical care in a fast-paced setting, while completing a bachelors in pre-veterinary medicine and a wildlife management certificate. To supplement my extensive academic training, I have pursued Fear Free Certification and Cat Friendly Veterinary Practitioner certification to better understand how to reduce fear, anxiety, and stress in animals in the shelter and clinic environment. I carry those principles into every visit, prioritizing calm, low-stress care tailored to each pet’s individual needs and personality. In addition, I am fully bonded and insured, and I maintain independent professional coverage beyond Rover platform protections. Currently, I am progressing on completing the BLS/ALS CPR certification through the RECOVER Initiative (the evidence-based standard used in veterinary medicine) and I will officially have that achievement met on May 16th! Additionally, I am continuing to expand my Fear Free certification in the coming weeks to include a higher tier of canine/feline care and a broader range of species in general. I am comfortable administering medications through a variety of routes and have experience caring for multiple species, including dogs, cats, and backyard poultry such as chickens and turkeys. While the majority of my experience is within the small animal realm, I have additional experience with a variety of species. Providing these services are an extension of my training and long-term career in veterinary medicine. I strive to provide thoughtful, consistent care so you can feel confident that your pet is in capable hands. One of my goals is to maintain your pet’s routine, while also monitoring for subtle changes in behavior or health while you’re away. I am currently transitioning into a full-time veterinary assistant role in a clinic in Eugene, OR, but I will do my best to accommodate any services in my time outside of the clinic. Thank you for sticking around to learn about me. I’d love to meet your fur kids! I am currently a 2nd year veterinary student that has needed to take a medical deferral for a year. I plan to return to OSU CCVM to finish my doctorate degree, during the Winter 2027 term. During the month of May '26, I expect to be transitioning into a veterinary clinic job in Eugene, OR. I will do my best to accommodate all requests in the meantime and I will be transparent about any scheduling conflicts. I am hoping to spend the next year focusing on my health, continuing my veterinary learning at a pace that suits my current needs, spending time with my cats and my partner, and exploring OR. I will reliably provide updates on the status of your pets and provide immediate reports if I notice anything abnormal or medically concerning during our visit. I am always available to be contacted if there are any concerns during the services or leading up to the services. In my time off from veterinary school, I plan to pursue BLS/ALS RECOVER CPR certification in Portland, OR in mid May. Fingers crossed that I am able to find a class with space but I will update my profile once I have official certification shortly! How cool to have a legit medical professional as a pet/house sitter while you're away! 😎 On top of being an approved Rover sitter/covered by the Rover guarantee, I have additional insurance coverage and am bonded through an external company to simply give myself and your family peace of mind while you're away!
About: I've lived with my dog, Avery, for about 10 years back home, have cared for family friends' dogs when needed, have participated in fetch-a-friend multiple times with Heartland Humane Shelter, and I am very comfortable around cats as well. I can provide a very active few days running or walking for your pets, or I can keep them homely company while you are away. Since I have a car, if desired, I can take your pets to the park or just on short car rides. If your pets have any medications required, or specific eating/dosage times, I will make sure to set alarms to stay on time and dependable. My main job right now is DoorDash, so any time you need me to be available is free. My schedule can allow for week-long petcare, if needed, or just a short walk :3 I try my best to be friendly, understanding, and patient with any pets I interact with; if a pet is trying to tell me something, I will pay my best attention! Additionally, if a pet needs some space while adjusting to me or the lack of usual people around, I can provide that space while still keeping an eye on them.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
