About: Hi, My name is Ellen and I have owned and worked with dogs and horses my entire life. I retired to WNC in 2016, after a twenty year career of teaching horseback riding to children and adults. I have had some amazing dogs in my life and have never met one I didn’t love. I would welcome the opportunity for you and your dog to come meet George and I to determine if we’re a good fit for each other. George is my nine year old Basset/Poodle rescue. He a real character, with a big personality and loves everyone. I will only take one client at a time, so your pet will have my undivided attention. If your dog likes to hike, I do too :-). Feel free to text or call me with questions or concerns. Hope to speak with you soon. I’m retired and spend a lot of time out in the yard gardening. My yard is fenced, so the dogs supervise :-). I love to walk and hike and take the dog with me if that’s what they enjoy. Alway on a leash of course. My clients dogs are never unsupervised. I have plenty of room in my fenced yard for them to explore, but I am always outside while they are. I have dog bed in every room for their comfort, however I don’t allow pets on my furniture.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was a child. I grew up with dogs and have had my own dogs as well! I currently have a senior dog and an adult dog. I have experience giving medicine and injections. I also have worked with many dog trainers, which has given me great insight on how to work with all dogs of different behaviors and personalities! I work full time from home with a flexibly job, so I am able to easily get take pets out for potty breaks and walks. If the dog I am sitting is at my house and gets along well with other dogs, we will do group walks with my dogs! If not, we will do solo walks. We also have a fully fenced in back yard. I have a fully fenced backyard and baby gates to separate the upstairs and downstairs of my home. My two dogs are used to having other dogs around, but can easily be separated to different parts of the home if needed. I can also easily work with a crate if you are crate training your dog / they are already crate trained.
