About: I’ve taken care of cats since I was 11 and still care for them currently. I have also grown up with my friends dogs, as well as my grandparents dogs. My best friend has two dogs over 100 pounds that I am with often! I have also volunteered at Portage County Animal Protective League back in middle school, where my aunt works. I have also cat sitted for my aunt numerous times! I have nothing but passion and empathy for all animals. :) I am currently a student at Kent State University, and I work part time in retail. About: I've grown up with animals my whole life, always having a cat and/or dog around! I love my family pets dearly, and since I live far away from them now, I am missing the connection with a furry friend. I have lived with and helped raise my current dog and cat since they were babies all the way to their current old ages. I used to check on my neighbors pets, they had 4 in total--two dogs (one senior), two cats. I would take the dogs outside for bathroom and run around time, as well as feed them lunch. Cats are elusive, so I just made sure they had food and fresh water available. I'd also stay extra time to dole out all the affection the animals needed before mom and dad got home. Currently I care for 8 fish in my 20 gallon fish tank! I'm in college at the moment but my schedule is open in the afternoons/evenings. Monday I have classes at 11 am so I can do a morning check. Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday I spend the morning student teaching so I am available after 1-1:30 pm for checks, Tuesday and Thursday I have a class from 6-7 pm. Friday I have only one commitment from 3-5 pm so I can do morning checks and afternoon/evening checks. Weekends are mostly open, occasionally I have events. I cannot care for your pet in my own home, but I am more than willing to care for your pet in your home. Pets are usually more comfortable with a new person when they are in their own territory. As long as I know the rules for taking care of your pet, I will be able to give you and your pet a positive care experience.

About: Hello, my name is Elle and I can't wait to be your pet's new friend! I have owned pets, including dogs, my whole life, and have always been an animal lover. Before college, I worked at a dog daycare and boarding facility for two years as a Lead Dog Handler. We focused on enrichment techniques, and I learned a lot about dogs and their behavior. I can read dog body language and react appropriately to it, I can help train dogs, and most importantly I can make sure a dog is having fun! Whether your dog is older and treasures their nap time, a puppy who wants constant play, or something in between, I can meet them where they are and ensure they are comfortable, safe, and happy. If needed, I am able to do basic grooming tasks such as bathing and nail trims, I can administer medications, and I am trained in safely breaking up dog fights and restraining animals.
