“Liz was available on short notice and took great care of my dog Nova! I got lots of picture updates and had a happy dog when I returned home. I would definitely recommend her and ask her to watch Nova again in the future.”

“This sitter was great! They stayed in touch, sent lots of pictures, did a great job with our dog and left our place clean and tidy. Definitely would use them again!”

“Danny did an amazing job taking care of our fur babies. We have two large Irish Wolfhounds and two pampered cats. He did not shy away from the challenge. The dogs loved him and enjoyed their long walks. Danny was great with communication… asked questions I didn’t even think about before we went out of town and communicated regularly with us with any questions that came up. Highly recommend him.”

“Kayla was amazing. Our dogs always get supper stressed when we have to board them so we tried having a house sitter. We had lots of good contact with Kayla with how the dogs were adjusting to her and the dogs seemed to like her. Kayla left the house clean.”

About: I have extensive hands-on experience caring for animals in both personal and multi-pet home environments, including dogs of all ages, temperaments, and medical needs. I’m comfortable with routine care such as feeding, walking, administering medications, and maintaining structured daily schedules. I also have experience supporting senior pets and animals with ongoing health conditions, including those requiring consistent medication timing and close monitoring. I understand that every pet has their own personality and comfort level, so I prioritize patience, routine, and clear communication to help animals feel safe and settled while their owners are away. I pay close attention to behavior changes, stress signals, and individual triggers, and adjust care accordingly. I treat every pet as if they are my own and aim to provide consistent, calm, and reliable care that reduces stress for both pets and owners. Pet care fits naturally into my weekly routine and I’m able to provide consistent availability around my work schedule. I work in Meridian Monday through Thursday, but I can accommodate early morning drop-ins before work as well as afternoon care visits after I’m off for the day. On Fridays, I work from home, which gives me much more flexibility for scheduling visits throughout the day. I’m also fully available on weekends, making it easy to provide more frequent check-ins, longer visits, or added flexibility as needed. Overall, my schedule allows me to be reliable and consistent during the week while offering expanded availability and responsiveness on Fridays and weekends. I provide care exclusively in my clients’ homes to ensure pets stay comfortable in their familiar environment and maintain their normal routine with minimal disruption. During visits, I follow all owner instructions closely, including feeding schedules, fresh water, litter box or potty breaks, medication administration if needed, and any specific care routines. I also spend time engaging with pets through play, companionship, and calm interaction based on their personality and comfort level. I pay close attention to each pet’s behavior and wellbeing during every visit and will provide updates and photos so you can feel confident they are safe, cared for, and doing well while you’re away.

“Gunner is a very kind and conscientious pet and house sitter. He is communicative and provided updates and pictures of our cat happily interacting with him. My mind was so at ease knowing Gunner was taking care of my cat and home while we were away. I would definitely hire him again!”

“Cadie came through when I needed a last minute dog/house sitter for the evening. She was willing to meet me and get introduced to my dog within hours the same day and treated my guy with plenty of love overnight. She did a great job and was very professional. I’d recommend her and will be booking with her again. Thanks Cadie!”

About: I’ve taken care of my own dog for years. As well as house sat for a friend who owns a farm, caring for her numerous animals. Hi! I currently work at 9 AM to 5 PM job and can make it home around 12 PM to 1 PM for a lunch break to take the dog to the bathroom and/or a walk. This would make it so the dog will go 4 hours between potty breaks. I have full availability on the weekends. I have a beautiful fenced in backyard with plenty of space for a dog to run around safely. We board dogs often and have puppy proofed it for safety.
“1000% recommend! Our pets (cat & dog) were so completely relaxed when we returned from a week long trip. No trauma from being boarded, they got to stay in their own home. Nikki and Britney are FANTASTIC. So kind and loving, and quick to answer any questions. Our pets and house were in better shape when we returned than when we left! Will be hiring them again every time we go away in the future!”

“Aaron was so kind and communicative. Our travel plans got a little wonky during the holiday weather madness. Aaron was flexible and able to accommodate our changed dates. He stayed in our house with our two dogs. We were gone for a week and came home to a clean house and happy dogs. Thanks, Aaron! See you again soon!”
“Erin was awesome!! She was quick with responding, provided pictures and updates of Max while we were gone and had a great fenced yard that Max loved 😃. Will definitely use her again!!”

“Cecilia was great with our 2 senior dogs and our last minute trip. She communicated promptly and eased all my worries while I was overseas. She also sent lots of pictures. For my first experience with a sitter and rover this was great. Will definitely rebook.”

“Kaity did a great job taking care of our dogs and cat. They were happy and healthy when we got back from our trip. The pictures were especially appreciated. Thank you Kaity!”

“Wendy was great. I was gone for several days for work and she stayed with my chiwas. I am deeply attached to my dogs/family. I got a few pics which was great since i missed them terribly. When I got back home everyone was happy and healthy. I would definitely recommend :)”
“Besides excellent care for our old gal, Blue, a HUGE plus is that Kim left the house looking like I had just stepped out to grocery shop and came back an hour later. The only " footprint" she left was a happy pup! Thank you, Kim!!”

About: I used to own a pet sitting business. I've sat elderly dogs that have special needs and medications. I've sat younger dogs that need to keep up on their training while their parents are away. I'm very good at following directions and keeping things tidy. I own a business. I make shoes and jewelry. I have more time at home than people that work 9-5. I also have years of pet sitting experience. My cats are spoiled rotten. My brothers dog that I frequently babysit is also spoiled. They have the best food and receive new toys constantly. I also have squirrels in my yard that I feed daily. They too are spoiled with sunflower seeds and peanut butter.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of July 2026, there are 948 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Pearl. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Pearl walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Pearl maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Pearl choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Pearl. On Rover:
- 92% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
