“Very happy we found Kelly! She's a wonderful dog sitter and clearly has experience handling dogs. Both of our dogs enjoyed the meet and greet. She left detailed notes after her dog sitting visit. Definitely recommend!!”

“Beth is a real dog lover. She visited prior to my vacation to meet my 2 dogs, Jax and Benji, and they loved her. Jax was showing his belly within 5 minutes. Dogs have a great sense for people and that made me really comfortable. Beth sent photos for each visit and offered to help out if any problems occurred while I was gone, which was also nice. I will definitely use her again.”

“Kristen did an excellent job taking care of my Cali. Cali is a senior cat with special dietary needs and Kristen had no problems with it. I will definitely book with Kristen again.”

“Justine did a great job! My two cats were well cared for, got their meds on time, and she stayed longer than I anticipated on most visits. I extended my need for two days and Justine found a way to fit it in her schedule (this was at Christmas!). She followed up with me the evening of my arrival to make sure I got home safely. She’s fabulous! *****”

“Melissa was incredible with my cats. They have very different personalities and she seemed to understand them perfectly. Her updates from their point of view were the cutest. Nicol was amazing! Our dog has some medical issues and Nicol was so kind to him and followed our instructions to the letter. You can tell how much she loves dogs and she was not at all intimidated by his health needs. We felt very comfortable having him in her care. She even sent us photos and updates while she walked him. I would 100% recommend her to anyone looking for someone to care for a beloved furry friend ❤️

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
