“Beth is a real dog lover. She visited prior to my vacation to meet my 2 dogs, Jax and Benji, and they loved her. Jax was showing his belly within 5 minutes. Dogs have a great sense for people and that made me really comfortable. Beth sent photos for each visit and offered to help out if any problems occurred while I was gone, which was also nice. I will definitely use her again.”

“Kristen did an excellent job taking care of my Cali. Cali is a senior cat with special dietary needs and Kristen had no problems with it. I will definitely book with Kristen again.”

“Danielle was extremely helpful and was fast to assist with an emergency dog walker that I needed. She was very fast to respond and kept me updated with pictures and texts as she walked my dog Franklin. I definitely will be contacting her again and will be a returning customer! Highly recommend Danielle as a sitter!”

“Nicol was amazing! Our dog has some medical issues and Nicol was so kind to him and followed our instructions to the letter. You can tell how much she loves dogs and she was not at all intimidated by his health needs. We felt very comfortable having him in her care. She even sent us photos and updates while she walked him. I would 100% recommend her to anyone looking for someone to care for a beloved furry friend ❤️”

About: A pet is more than just a pet, they’re a part of the family. I’ve had many dogs over the years, so I understand how deep that love runs. I treat all pets like they are my own, and with over 15 years experience, you can be assured that your pet with be well taken care of. I am blessed to be able to own my own business, therefore work from my own on my own hours. Pet care fits into my schedule because it’s always been the highlight of my working day, and therefore I put as much if not more energy into taking care of your furry friends as I do my own. In our house we are all equal, and that includes pets. Your pets will get endless love, play time, exercise, and attention as needed. I am happy to make accommodations to suit your pets special needs, so that they are happy, comfortable and enjoying every minute.
“We are so glad we have Nicole to watch Hannah. She is always prompt and seems to have a good relationship with our dog. She goes the extra yard and communicates regularly. It is a great piece of mind to know she is there when we travel. Thanks Nicole!”

About: I have had dogs of my own since I was a child. I have been involved in fostering for local rescues & shelters for 5 years I have co-ran my own 501c3 rescue for almost 3 years I do work full time, so I am gone Monday- Friday from roughly 7A.M until 6 P.M. (depending on how far you are from my job). I drive Uber on the weekends during the summer months, but those hours are flexible & can vary based on your pet's needs. I have a fenced yard, but I have 3 senior dogs of my own and because of running the rescue, I usually have a foster dog as well so taking a dog into my home would be more challenging, but if I were to drop in or stay at your home, your dog(s) would get all of the one on one attention &time that they require
“Dani was great with our pups! Even our timid little one quickly warmed up to her. We really appreciated that she came to meet us to build a rapport and also to be introduced to the fur babies before our actual scheduled dates for drop in visits. During her visits she communicated with me, played with them and ensured they had proper outside time before leaving. We got sweet pictures and she even brought to my attention when my boy was itching his belly quite a bit so that we could treat his sensitive skin. Thanks for loving on them!! We absolutely recommend her to others looking for sweet, loving care of your pets while you are away!”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
