“Roseanna was wonderful! She and her kids took Ozzie to the park and it sounds like he had a lot of attention through the day. Communication was easy and straightforward. This was our first experience with doggy daycare, and we will definitely have Ozzie stay with Roseanna again!”

“I felt very confident that Gordon was in good hands with Melissa and Dan! I loved seeing all the pics and know, even with his anxiety, that he warmed up to their kindness and patience. Would absolutely use their services again 🙏🏼”

“I had 2 other pet sitters cancel on me before I found Kathleen. She was a lifesaver. She was willing to watch Gia and Ghira with little notice. She was so easy to communicate with. She sent me multiple pictures during their time at her house. I would highly recommend Kathleen. She was awesome!”

“My dog loves this sitter! The second time I took him for pet sitting he was so excited that he didn’t noticed me leave, even though with most sitters he whines a lot when he is dropped off. Our puppy has LOVED being watched by their family. We will continue to use them whenever we need someone to watch Wookiee.”

“Monica has been wonderful caring for my pup Lincoln during the days this summer! Lincoln gets so excited when we pull up to the day care house and comes home exhausted everytime! He gets to interact with all the dogs in Monica’s neighborhood in a safe environment. The fenced in backyard at Monica’s house is great reassurance that the dogs can do a lot of running and remain safe. Additionally Monica has been extremely flexible with my changing work schedule! I have rebooked with Monica week after week and will continue to do so while working in the area. Monica and her family have really made a wonderful impact on our family. We are so grateful to have met them through Rover!”

“Milissa was super responsive and accommodating for our last minute request! Our pup was kept company the entire day with walk and lounge updates provided as well. Very convenient option for anyone in the NE area.”

“Angela, Michael, and their kids were amazing! I had reached out about them watching my dog on Thanksgiving last minute due to last minute plans, and they were lifesavers. They were incredibly flexible, and watched her from the early morning until late night. They sent lots of pictures and updates and my dog seemed to settle in really well and enjoyed herself. They also were really responsive and I never had to wait long for a message or response. She can be a nervous dog but Angela and Michael made sure she felt comfortable and I know that she was in good hands. Overall, a really trustworthy family to watch your dog - will be booking them again if needed and will be recommending them to my friends. Thanks guys!”
“Anwar was very responsive and was able to help with a last minute request! Hank spend the day outside on the farm and met some new doggy friends! He's been snoring in the couch since we got home! Definitely recommend Anwar and I will use him again in the future!”

“This was our first time using Rover, and we had a great experience leaving Lily with Jeffrey. Even though she is a very anxious dog, we could tell she had a wonderful time playing with her new friends. Jeffrey is also very easy to communicate with. He also send pictures to us on how our Lily doing—highly recommended!”

“We used Tara as our dog sitter while visiting Sesame Place today. She was absolutely fantastic. We spoke back and forth via text the week before and even several times the day before the visit. She is so accommodating and even let me change our date to the following day at the very last minute. My children were VERY nervous and crying about leaving our pups with a stranger and she assured them she would take great care of them and even sent us several pictures during the visit with messages for the kids. It made the trip to Sesame so much easier! As a mama, that meant the most!! I will definitely use here again next time we come to Pa to visit family. And my pups were clean and happy when I picked them up. Thanks Tara.”

“Maryori was 12/10! Not only did she take in Cooper last minute she was very sweet and accommodating. She kept me updated on Cooper the entire time. You won’t regret keeping your pup with her. This was the first time but it won’t be the last I book with her!”

I have very flexible schedule to fit your needs and can work on short notice. I am currently working 3 days a week from home and home most weekends and holidays to play and care for your pet as well as have a very flexible schedule to fit your needs. “Our Bruno was in great hands with Mel. She was very communicative and responsive throughout his stay and she provided many photo updates. Bruno was happy and exhausted after his stay and it was clear that he was in great hands. Would highly recommend her !!”

About: We own two large dogs- an Australian cattle dog/Anatolian shepherd/Hound mix, and a yellow Labrador retriever. They are very high energy and unique with lively personalities. We love to take them on bicycle rides/walks through the woods and neighborhood. We both have experience with dogs- John dog-sat as a child and has had family dogs as well, and I grew up on a farm with 10-15 inside/outside dogs all my life as well as many other animals. We have a big back yard that is fenced in, we also live next to a big state park that is loads of fun for any animal! Our entire family and our friends also have dogs, so when we all get together we usually have about 12-14 dogs all together at once running around playing and having fun! We would love to be able to help others who own dogs and have a busy schedule live life while knowing their beloved pet is well taken care of!
“So happy with the entire experience! Samantha took such good care of my Banjo, sent pictures the entire day and kept me updated on how he was doing. I would definitely recommend and will keep her in mind if I need someone to watch Banjo in the future!”

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in PA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
