“Roseanna was super sweet, very welcoming and, and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend her care for dogs. She asked my likes and dislikes when I arrived and explained the way she did things. When I visit PA again I will definitely ask her to watch my pup again!”

“I had 2 other pet sitters cancel on me before I found Kathleen. She was a lifesaver. She was willing to watch Gia and Ghira with little notice. She was so easy to communicate with. She sent me multiple pictures during their time at her house. I would highly recommend Kathleen. She was awesome!”

“I felt very confident that Gordon was in good hands with Melissa and Dan! I loved seeing all the pics and know, even with his anxiety, that he warmed up to their kindness and patience. Would absolutely use their services again 🙏🏼”

“Elaine was great and caring. My pup always feels anxious when she is in a new environment and with new people. Elaine did her best so that Daisy felt good like at home. She took a great care of my dog. I’m very thankful for this experience and would absolutely recommend her!”

“Angela, Michael, and their kids were amazing! I had reached out about them watching my dog on Thanksgiving last minute due to last minute plans, and they were lifesavers. They were incredibly flexible, and watched her from the early morning until late night. They sent lots of pictures and updates and my dog seemed to settle in really well and enjoyed herself. They also were really responsive and I never had to wait long for a message or response. She can be a nervous dog but Angela and Michael made sure she felt comfortable and I know that she was in good hands. Overall, a really trustworthy family to watch your dog - will be booking them again if needed and will be recommending them to my friends. Thanks guys!”
“Lauren was amazing! Willow had an awesome time with her dog Karter, and she took great care of her in a comfortable, welcoming environment. I’ll definitely be booking with her again!”

I’m a registered nurse, so my schedule varies, but I plan my pet care bookings around my work to ensure every pet gets the attention they deserve. On my days off, I have plenty of time for walks, playtime, cuddles, and sticking to your pet’s normal routine. I’ll always communicate my availability clearly and provide updates while you’re away. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I carefully follow all feeding schedules, medication instructions, exercise routines, and any special care requests. I’m experienced caring for both dogs and cats, and I treat every pet like they’re my own. As a registered nurse, I’m detail-oriented, dependable, and attentive to changes in behavior or health. About: I have owned dogs and cats of all sizes and I am comfortable with both puppies and senior animals. I have a secure, large yard, air conditioning, and full-time availability to spoil your pet. (My dog has passed so no pets live in the home). I'm very attuned to animals needs and make sure they're comfortable and calm. I am happy to host multiple pets at once as long as your pet is friendly (can host cats alone without other animals). I work from home part time. My house is very chill and my schedule is flexible. I rarely need to leave the house, and if your dog has separation anxiety i can plan to be fully available. I drive so I can attend to pets as needed throughout the day and evening at your home. If at my home, we will mostly hang out on the first floor where your pet can access food and water. I provide frequent bathroom breaks and time out in the yard (or a quick walk around the neighborhood). At clients homes, I make sure the pet is comfortable in its natural environment, play, and take them outside as needed.
About: I grew up with two dogs (a German Shepherd and a Bichon Frise). They were the sweetest boys to ever exist!! I do not currently have any pets because I don’t think I could handle the loss. But, I have been pet sitting other people’s pets for over 5 years outside of rover. I have pet sit both cats and dogs :) I’m currently working full time remotely. So I have lots of time to spend with your pets! I do travel for work so there may be some weeks that I will not be available but that will all be noted on my calendar. I have a fenced in yard. Pets in our house are allowed inside and on furniture. If you request it I will crate your dog. I have a little sister who is 10 and she loves animals just as much as I do and respects their space but I do require all pets I take care of to be kid friendly.
“Michelle and Khan took great care of Gummy! She was so happy when I picked her up. They were very responsive and sent lots of pictures and updates on gummy. Will definitively be booking with them again soon :) Thank you so much for taking care of my baby!!”

“I couldn't be more satisfied with the experience. Grace was amazing and treated Piper as if she were her own. Her flexibility and understanding made the entire process smooth and stress-free. she also left us with some thoughtful goodies for Piper, which was a lovely touch. I would 100% recommend her.”

“Joe and Bonnie took such great care of Leo. They were so kind and caring, sent updates and photos. And Leo was so happy when I picked him up. I never worried while he was in their care. I would highly recommend them!”

“Lovely and welcoming environment. Our dogs settled in very quickly and got along great with his dog. When we picked them up they were happy and obviously had a very good day. We are very grateful for the great care he gave them! We will definitely ask him to watch them again as we have family in the area and come back to town a couple times a year. ?”

I have experience with rescue dogs, puppies, older dogs, small dogs, large dogs, cats, etc. I am a volunteer at a dog rescue, so I have gained a lot of experience with dogs of different breeds and backgrounds. I have administered medication to both dogs and cats. I have been dog-sitting dogs of family friends for years, and I always love every part of it. I have a genuine love for dogs and all animals, and I love the idea of getting to meet so many different breeds and personalities. I think that this love and interest I have for dogs and all animals sets me apart from many people. I have been trusted to dog-sit dogs of all sizes since I was around thirteen years old, and I am thrilled that I have found a way to find more clients and dogs to take care of. Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Penndel
Holly is an outstanding Rover sitter, and I feel incredibly fortunate to have found her. She communicates so easily and warmly, and she genuinely welcomes my dog, Poet, as if Poet were part of her own family. Holly has her own wonderfully awesome dog, Sully, who is super welcoming to Poet, and Holly’s entire household goes out of their way to make sure Poet feels at home and cared for throughout the day while I’m at work. What stands out most is that Holly clearly does this out of genuine love for caring for dogs, not for the money. In fact, she could easily charge twice her current rate and would still be providing exceptional value. Knowing that Poet is in such a safe, happy, and nurturing environment gives me complete peace of mind. I’m truly grateful to have connected with Holly, and I look forward to continuing to book with her. She’s exactly the kind of sitter every dog owner hopes to find.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Penndel commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in PA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 2,506 sitters in Penndel, 87% respond to messages in under an hour.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
