“My daughter and i went on a toadtrip to CA to visit potential colleges for about 10 days. I contacted a lot of people on Rover somewhat last minute. Faris was the first to respond! And I am so happy and appreciative that I chose him! He is the absolute best! He's so kind and friendly and professional and funny and totally loves my 2 husky brothers. He's making home-made dog food due to my pups sensitive digestion. He walks them daily if not twice a day when its not too hot. He's house sitting as well and stays with my guys most of the time. He's very aware of protecting them from the heat. He's a great communicator. He listened to me about the dog training Ive dome so he could keep it up while Im away. He sends messages daily with walking pics and others. He often tells me how much he loves my Huskies! I am overjoyed that I found him!! I know without a doubt that my Pups are having the time of their lives! Thank you Faris!!!”

“Miranda was awesome with Benji and was so conscientious! She sent regular updates and was great about communicating with me during the sit. I came home to a content puppy and a very tidy home. I’d recommend her in a heartbeat!”

“Abigail took excellent care of Simba during our time away. She sent us picture updates and was communicative. We returned to a clean home and a happy pup. Would definitely have her again to watch our sweet Simba. Thank you Abigail!”

“Just the best! Jax was so excited to see you. Loved every single minute. This is your calling. Thanks again for reassuring us that our fur baby would be in such awesome care. See you soon.”

About: Volunteered at a vet clinic & pet sat for friends and family & discovered the joy of comforting pets when they're feeling anxious and home sick. I am pursuing a master's in computer science at UNM, and my schedule can be flexible. I will be home for the most part, but if I ever need to step away it's only for a couple hours. My boyfriend and I work as a team in caring for our dogs, and we do the same for our clients. It's normal for your pet to feel homesick, so we do our best to make them feel like they are at home and give them the quality time and affection they are used to from their loved ones ❤️ Baxter is 9 yo pit mix & Chiqui is an 8 yo Pomeranian/chihuahu. We have a small fenced yard and a kennel that Baxter uses for whenever we have to leave the house to run errands. Our dogs sleep in their beds upstairs in our bedroom, and we set up your pet's bed next to us as well. We typically ask clients to bring their pet's bed or crate/kennel and a blanket or toy they like to cuddle with to remind them of home 🤍 If you could also pack their food, food bowl, and leash for their stay, that would be great! 🐾
“Kilee was absolutely wonderful with Trunks! From the start, communication was seamless, and I received regular photo updates that completely put my mind at ease while I was away. Trunks was happy, relaxed, and clearly well-cared-for. I couldn't have asked for a better experience and will definitely be booking Kilee again!”

“Lucy watched our diabetic yorkie for a week while we were out of town. She did an amazing job! We got daily text updates, with pictures. She did daily insulin injections, feedings, and long walks. This was our first time using a pet/house sitter, and it exceeded all of our expectations! Don't hesitate to call Lucy, you won't be disappointed.”

“Sara was completely comfortable with my doggos and kept them at ease while I was gone. She is a good communicator, very friendly, and was a pleasure to have stay at the house. Thank you!”

“Ethanee did a great job watching our dog and cat for a week while on vacation!! I appreciated the daily updates and photos. It was nice coming home to happy, well-cared for pets.”

About: I’ve been an animal lover for as long as I can remember, and caring for pets has always been one of the greatest joys in my life. From dogs and cats to horses, birds, fish, and even ferrets, I’ve had the privilege of sharing my days with so many wonderful animals over the years. Each one has taught me something new about love, patience, and companionship, and I carry that experience with me into every pet I care for. Right now, I share my home with a lively crew—a sweet senior Husky hybrid who’s 15 years old, a playful 7-month-old Cattle Dog, two affectionate cats (one a sprightly senior of 14 years), and a handful of fish who bring calm and beauty to my space. Because of them, I have firsthand experience with pets at every stage of life. I understand the patience and special attention seniors need, as well as the energy and safe guidance puppies and kittens require as they grow. My passion for animals has inspired me to pursue a career as a Veterinary Technician, but no matter the path, one thing is certain: caring for animals will always be at the heart of what I do. I love spending time outdoors with pets, going on walks, playing their favorite games, and making sure they feel safe, happy, and loved. Whether your pet is playful and energetic or prefers quiet snuggles and gentle care, I’ll treat them like one of my own. When your furry (or feathered, or finned!) family members are with me, you can feel confident that they’ll be cared for with warmth, patience, and lots of love. I’m available bright and early in the mornings all the way through the evening for drop-in visits, walks, and check-ins. My regular availability is from 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM every day of the week, weekends included. I understand that every pet and family has different routines, so I’m happy to be flexible and work around the times that suit you best. I’m also available most weekends for house sitting, giving you peace of mind that your pets (and home) are well cared for while you’re away. If there’s ever a time I won’t be available, I’ll always update my schedule in advance so you’ll never be left guessing. My goal is to make things as smooth and stress-free as possible for both you and your pets! I am able to travel throughout the county and city, and I’m comfortable caring for pets in a wide variety of environments, including apartments, houses, farm properties, sidewalks, parks, and outdoor settings. No matter the location, I make it a priority to ensure pets feel secure and cared for in their familiar surroundings. I follow all owner instructions carefully, whether it’s feeding schedules, medication, exercise routines, or special accommodations. Maintaining consistency is important, and I will make sure your pets’ routines are carried out to your exact standards. While house sitting, I provide ongoing attention and companionship throughout the day, and during walks or check-ins, your pets will always have my full, undivided focus. I ensure that pets have access to fresh water, proper meals, and any other care items they may need. I am also fully comfortable working in all types of weather and terrain, so your pets’ care will never be disrupted by outside conditions.

“Michelle did an excellent job of caring for our Labrador and two cats in our home. She was very communicative and kept in touch with us the whole 10 days we were gone. She sent photos and little updates. She made sure the dog got regular walks, even taking him hiking one day! She also left the house spotless. She really went above and beyond! She clearly loves and cares for animals! Trustworthy , dependable and she’s great to work with! I highly recommend her!”

“Thanks again Tracy for sitting with my Sam and two kitties again. Always such a pleasure to work with you and the pets adore you. You give me great peace of mind knowing they are safe and happy and that the house is in order when I’m gone. You’ll always have repeat business from me when I go out of town.”

“Kat is the BEST!!! Our dog and cat adore this sitter. Kat sent pictures daily of the animals. Very grateful to have found this super reliable animal lover. After being gone for a week, didn't feel stressed at all leaving our home and pets.”

“Amber was so professional, responsive and very sweet! She stayed at my house and when I got back from my trip it was exactly as I left it. She sent me photos and videos of my Stout and kept me updated on how he was. I would definitely recommend her and will be rebooking!”

About: In college I was a house and pet sitter. I have had pets since I was in elementary school and am now a senior. I currently have three dogs of my own. I’m emotionally intelligent and good to work with. I work a half day as an Occupational Therapist educator in Wednesdays and as an OT practitioner on Fridays. I would be available in the afternoons on these days. I will not take care of pets in my home but am happy to come to yours to care for, walk, pet and feed your fur babies.
“Lacey was responsive, attentive, knowledgeable, observant and so incredibly kind! She took the best care of our 3 fur babies while we were away! She went above and beyond and prioritized the care of our animals the entire time. Our pets will be so excited to see her again the next time we are away.”

“Luca was very attentive and thoughtful when it came to caring for my pets. He was kind, communicative, and easy to work with. I truly enjoyed receiving pictures of my animals each day I was gone.”

About: I have been pet sitting regularly for about three years however, I live on a Ranch and have experience in animals of all sorts. I have so many barn cats and four personal house cats. I can handle from your smallest hamsters to your largest breeds. I’m your girl I work from home and my schedule is very flexible. I regularly pet sit a boxer and bearded dragon monthly on top of my animals that I already have. I am able to drop in or stay the night as needed. I have a large fenced in yard where my great Pyrenees is able to roam freely. My cats have a large cat tree crates throughout the house that they can lay in if they choose. they also roam around the house they do not go outside. All of my animals have lots of enrichment.
About: Hi! I own a pet of my own, a little yorkie. I have had her since I was 12. My experience includes taking care of my grandmas dog’s and family friend’s dogs. Occasionally would help out my neighbors with dog sitting their one year old puppy for weeks at a time. I have trained my dog to go potty outside and a couple of tricks for treats. I’ve always had good experience with any type of dog and look forward to helping out family’s to care for their companions ! I am currently in summer break from school. I am a full time student at University of New Mexico majoring in chemistry. I currently do have a part time. This job does not provide much hours. So I would love to include dog care as apart of my routine because I love taking care of dogs! This would seem more of a fun job and get great time to exercise while helping dog owners. There is many things I have considered that come with job and majority of them are benefits ! My dog is small and is very well trained. She hasn’t been in a crate since she was a baby! She is shy around other dogs but it is very easy to manage her, if she does not get along with the other dogs. My dog is not a violent dog and has never bitten anyone before ! So I trust that your pets have nothing to worry about with conflict around my dog. I am experienced with being in other peoples home because I’ve air bnb recently this year multiple times with my partner. I care for others space and treat it as I would want others to treat my space. I am very communicative and I would keep updates for my clients with their dogs. I am very empathetic towards animals and I would treat my clients pets with respect and care.

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Paradise Hills
I have a blind 15yo Biewer Terrier and a lively 5yo white German Shepherd. VERY different needsI have used Rover & other pet sitters in several states. Miranda was the best sitter I've ever had! She was able to wear my GS out and I'm amazed that my little blind dog has gained a bit of weight. He had been losing, but apparently loved Miranda and ate well. My house was well cared for as well. Miranda communicates well, sent photos, kept in touch and I would definitely recommend her to anyone! I will definitely be having her sit again!
Audrey went above and beyond. She made sure that all my animals were well taken care of. My dog ivy barked at her for two days straight and she didn't let that phase her she just showed ivy that she can be trusted. She also took very good care of our elderly dog. We definitely recommend Audrey for caring for any pet.
Abigail is a true blessing to our family. Mojito and Margarita are relaxed and happy when we return as she keeps them entertained and cared for the way I would. She is flexible as well when we have a change in plans. Just a wonderful pet person and my house is exactly as I left it every time.

I was so nervous to leave my 15 year old dog, but once Martina was at the house, all of my worries went away. She sent daily updates and photos of the dogs, always leaving me feeling that the dogs were well taken care of and enjoyed their time. She was an excellent communicator and I feel so confident leaving my dogs with her again.

Teresa was so great staying with our dog. He’s kind of a goofy guy. And she just came in and handled him very well. And for us she was so good at keeping us updated and with pictures. Our house looked perfect when we returned. I am grateful it all went so well.
