Dog Walking Paletown

About: Life long animal lover I've taken care of many different kinds of pets! I had a frog growing up, fish, cats, dogs, and I've helped pet sit numerous times for a friend for his goats, chickens, turtle, geese, turkeys, ducks, fish, pigs, and dogs (puppies, adult dogs and a senior dog with medications who needed extra tlc). I also work here and there at a local horse farm feeding and cleaning stalls as well as turning 45+ horses out to pasture. I'm used to handling strong pulling animals (I like to think being able to handle an antsy 1200+ lb animal prepares me for most anything haha), and my own strong pulling dog so I'm well versed to handling eager dogs on walks. I've been able to administer medications to senior dogs, my own dog needed 5 different medicines for a few weeks during heartworm treatment and my cat currently is transitioning to a prescription urinary diet so I know a few tricks to getting medicine to them as well as doling out special meals. I'm currently working 3-4 days during the week at my main job as a Dental Assistant, as well as working a few hours every Sunday AM at a yoga studio. I am also a part time college student studying Dental Hygiene as well as on my way to becoming an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant. Currently that looks like Monday/Wednesday AM I am in class from 9am-11am, Friday from 12pm-5pm and Saturday from 9am-4pm I am at my other class (which ends the first week of September 2026). I will try to update this as often as needed. I marked Fridays off for now but I can be flexible with scheduling around work and school as much as I can. I typically work Monday/Tuesday/Thursday at my main job but the hours vary as early as 7am to as late as 8pm. Sometimes I will get scheduled Wednesday when needed but it's not often. Any questions on availability or time feel free to message me! If you are flexible with schedules it helps out alot too! I also have my own pets at home which is why I currently don't offer overnights as he has separation anxiety if I'm not home at night. I will follow your every instruction and request for taking care of your pet in your home, I can crate you dog and handle letting them out, making sure they don't get off leash or out of your fenced in yard and make sure your cat doesn't slip out the doorway when I come in. I have some sneaky pets myself sometimes and I feel I've become a master at outsmarting even the sneakiest pet. I'll make sure your pets have plenty of fresh water, the right amount of food, nothing is left out for them to get into or chew up, and cleaned litterboxes! I believe in treating your pet like my own and providing the utmost care and respect for both them and your home.

About: After 9-11 I was the kennel masters assistant. I now volunteer at last chance Ranch and deal with many types of dogs with issues. I absolutely LOVE dogs of all shapes and sizes. They are my therapy! I currently work part time at a doggie daycare and have volunteered at last chance Ranch for nearly two years. I have rescued many dogs over the years ( they have a special place in my heart) I'm simply looking to walk your dog. If you have special requests I am willing to make reasonable accomodations. “I have really enjoyed having Shanon coming to walk my big boy. My big boy is a rescue and is not great with new people. At 140 pounds he can be very intimidating to others. We need someone to watch our dogs for a long trip this year which will require work and time to build a relationship. Shanon is very intuitive to my dogs need to build a relationship slowly. She doesn't react to him the way most would and genuinely takes clues from him. Ive been so worried to try and have him build a relationship with someone and I dont think I could have gotten anyone better. She does rush him or force him to be near her and he is very quickly getting comfortable with her which is something I wasnt expecting to happen so soon. I can not rave enough about her natural intuition and willingness to work with us, its been a perfect fit and I know our dogs will be just fine with her for an extended period of time in a few months!”

About: How I can be your pets next favorite friend is my strong background in working with dogs, especially when it comes to basic training like sit, stay, lay down, etc. to even teaching some fun, playful tricks! I focus on making every visit engaging and positive to help reinforce good behavior while keeping your dog happy and active. I have both a front and back yard for outdoor time, and while they aren’t fenced, I always use heavy-duty tethers and stay close by to keep things safe. Inside, there’s lots of cozy space and available crate room if your pet is used to having their own spot. Your pet will also have the chance to hang out with my own small, friendly dog if they enjoy some company! I make sure every pet feels at home, gets lots of attention, and stays on their usual routine as much as possible. When caring for your pet at your home, I’ll always follow your instructions and any special routines to make sure your pet feels comfortable and at ease. I’m happy to stick to their usual schedule and habits so they experience as little disruption as possible. Plus, I bring extra pet supplies with me whether it’s toys, bowls, or anything else needed to ensure your pet has everything they need while you’re away.

About: I been fostering and caring for kittens/cats for many years. I also have 4 cats of my own. I absolutely adore all animals and enjoy caring for them. I’m very open to being available on my lunch breaks during work, week nights and weekends. I try and be as flexible as possible when I can be. I will give them tons of attention and love - whatever is needed to make them happy and feel loved. I'm happy to follow any rules and instructions you give for them. About: I lived with animals, all my life I have three kitty cats now, and I had labradors when I was kid. My grandfather had some Dobermans when I was little and I’ve been around great Danes as well.. I have walked three huskies with my son who has high functioning autism, and is my helper with a lot of my jobs we do it together. We’d love to take care and love animals I am highly focused on creating a fun, safe, and engaging environment. When I watch pets, we typically spend our time doing activities,, outdoor play. I have a flexible schedule, and I’m willing to work around mine and your schedules I will work during the week and weekends as well I would take very good care of your pet inside your home and if you have a list and concerns for your pet, I will be able to willing to work on that for your pet.. Inside my home would be the same way and have a comfortable playtime with my family

About: I have spent my entire life growing up with numerous and varied pets, which has given me experience with different animals and their needs. I would love to care for your pet—any breed, size, or personality! My schedule is very flexible, and I would love to discuss scheduling a time that works for you! Please reach out, so we can discuss your needs. I will clarify with you if there are any specific needs or routines that would be followed for your pet. Typically, I would enter and greet your pet (whether with pets or from afar), feed them per instructions, and give them fresh water. For dogs, we will head outside for a walk or exercise in the backyard, and for cats, I would clean their litter box and then play or relax with them. Whether it is a drop-in, overnight stay, or walk, I will make sure your doors and gates are locked!

About: I've had pets my whole life and currently have a cat who I love taking care of! I also am comfortable taking care of dogs. I work part time with flexible hours so I have lots of free time to take care of your pet! I'm free most mornings, afternoons and evenings. When I take care of a dog I'll take them for walks, clean up after them, play with them, and make sure they have food, water and plenty of attention.

About: I have worked in end of life care, along with animal rescue shelters. My children and I have recently grieved the loss of our family dog and want to give our love and attention to others! I am a WFH mom and capable of being very flexible and reliable. My schedule also can be maneuvered however is needed for the day. I am capable of keeping your routine for your pet if they’re in my home as my schedule is extremely flexible. Often updating through messages through the day, and giving them the love and attention they need.

About: I have taken care of dogs and cats for a total of 5 years. I volunteered at an animal shelter to take care of cats, and worked for a few months taking care of dogs. I have also dog sat for friends when they went away and didn't have any issues. I have 2 dogs, one I got in January 2022 (chapo) and the other (pablo) in March 2022. Mr. Chapo was a rescue from the spca and we have had Mr. Pablo since he was 3 months old. Chapo is an American staffordshire and is 7.5 years old and pablo is 3.5 years old. I want everyone to be aware that I work full time and can be available in the mornings Sunday-Wednesday’s. I am free all day every other Wednesday. I am available all day Thursday-Saturday. I am more than happy to dog sit overnight/in the morning before i go to work. I will work with you so we can make sure your little one (or big one) is cared for! I am available on most weekends. Holidays may differ depending on my schedule. I let Chapo out when I get home and let him roam around outside because he just sleeps most of the day. When I am not home he is inside. Pablo is in his crate when I am at work. He likes going outside but not a huge fan. I will care for your pet however you would like since its your fur baby!
