About: I have 30 years of experience with dogs. I am now retired and would love to spend time caring for your fur child. You'll find I am very reliable and a good communicator. I love playtime, walks and spending quality time with your pet. Will feed, give meds if needed, take outside to potty, bring in mail, and water plants if needed. Prefer to come to your home for care. Possibility of caring for your small dog in my home (fenced yard) as long as your dog is spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations, friendly with my little Norman and is fully potty trained. I like to say "Pets are people too!" meaning that they have feelings and deserve all the love they can get. I am now retired so very flexible for daily visits and will update all availability. I have a reliable vehicle. Available per visit or daily. I care for each pet as I would want my little one to be cared for. If care is in my home, I have a fully fenced back yard. I do like to spend quality time when I visit and will want to meet you ahead of time at no charge to make sure we are covering all care needs and to get to know your pet.

About: Hello! I’m Arlene, and I’ve been working with animals since I was 16! I have several years of experience in the veterinary field in California, and caring for animals has always been a huge passion of mine ❤️ I understand that every pet has their own personality and routine, and I strive to make them feel safe, loved, and comfortable while you’re away. Whether it’s playtime, walks, cuddle time, or sticking to their daily schedule, I’ll care for your pets as if they were my own. Since recently moving to Missouri, I’m currently focusing on house sitting, drop-in visits, and walks rather than boarding. I love caring for pets in the comfort of their own home, where they can stay relaxed and keep their normal routine. I have dogs of my own who are friendly and up to date on all vaccinations, and my veterinary experience allows me to recognize changes in a pet’s health or behavior should any concerns arise. Thank you for taking the time to visit my profile! I’d love the opportunity to care for your furry family members. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out! Caring for animals is part of my everyday routine. I have dogs of my own, so I’m used to daily walks, feeding, playtime, and providing lots of attention. I schedule my days around the pets I’m caring for to make sure they receive reliable, loving care and their routines stay as consistent as possible. I care for pets in the comfort of their own home by following their normal routine, including feeding, potty breaks, walks, playtime, medications (if needed), and plenty of love and attention. I also provide regular photo updates so you can have peace of mind while you’re away.

About: I’ve had cats and dogs my entire life, so caring for animals has always been a part of my everyday routine. I currently have a dog named Scout and a cat named Twig, and I know how much trust it takes to leave your pets in someone else’s care. I love getting to know each pet’s personality, whether they’re playful and energetic, shy and independent, or just looking for extra attention and cuddles. My goal is to make sure your pet feels comfortable, cared for, and loved while you’re away. I work part-time, allowing me flexibility for dog walks and pet drop-in visits throughout the week. Please contact me for availability, and I’ll do my best to accommodate your pet care needs. As a pet owner, I understand how important it is to trust someone with your pets. During visits, I prioritize safety, consistency, and attention to detail. I’ll follow your instructions carefully, monitor your pet’s well-being, ensure they have fresh food and water and a clean environment, and provide updates so you can feel confident while you’re away.

About: I have taken care of all sorts of animals from a young age. Cat, dogs, small animals such as birds and hamsters. My love for animals came in childhood and I will offer the best care! I currently work a hybrid role with my company so I have time at home to take care of animals for those that are looking for the best options out there. I have a large yard and a neighborhood for walking. I have a fenced yard so outdoor playtime can be provided without worry. I have 1 cat in home and 2 children in the evenings to offer lots of play for family friendly dogs.

Melody has been great for our dogs! We have two Rottweilers and both were new to leash training and walks. She didn't miss a beat, with helping them learn and behave on their walks. She was even great at getting them into their harnesses while they are both hyped up to go on walks!! I would highly recommend Melody for pet care!!

About: I used to pet-sit. Worked at a day-care a while ago. I've worked and interacted with all types of dogs. I enjoy what I do. I actually get really excited when working with dogs. I know they're a lot to handle sometimes but I feel like they're great fun to work with and they always make me feel better. My favorite types of dogs include Boxers, Miniature Schnauzers, Miniature Pinschers. I like all dogs of all shapes and sizes. I am really into playing fetch with dogs. I also don't mind playing with rope toys. They might tear my arms off but hey! It builds character! I'm very easy-going and I feel like with dogs you have to have a great sense of humor and enjoy the trade in order to work with them. I hope you consider me for some of your services. I look forward to chatting with you over the phone, internet, or in person! Also, I have a sweet little Mitten cat (her name is Mittens). She's a blue tortoise cat with these little white Mitten paws. My father has a black Maltese poodle named Beau... The sweetest dog in the world. I used to live with him and we were the best of friends. We still are. But we just don't see each other as much. That's who you see me with in my photos. I have pretty much open availability. I am comfortable doing overnight visits and morning/afternoon/evening walks. I'm currently in the process of trying to build clientele so I'm more flexible now than I might be in the future. But my long-term goal is to make this a full time 8 hour day. The 8-hour schedule block will entirely depend upon demand though. Whether it's broken up into different times of the day with a break in between or a full 8 hours non-stop, entirely depends upon when clients need availability. The number one most important thing about pet care is communication though. Between the owner and me. The sooner we know things, the better. Your pet's safety, comfort, and routine are always my top priorities. I currently provide care exclusively in my clients' homes because I believe most pets are happiest and most relaxed in their own familiar environment. Staying in their home helps keep their routine consistent, reduces stress, and allows me to focus entirely on giving them the attention, affection, exercise, and companionship they deserve. I'll also treat your home with the same respect and care I would my own. Whenever possible, I love to schedule a meet-and-greet before the booking begins. It's a great opportunity for us to get to know each other, for your pet to become comfortable with me, and for me to learn about their personality, routines, favorite activities, quirks, medications, and anything else that helps me provide the best possible care. I firmly believe that in pet care, overcommunicating is always better than undercommunicating. I'd much rather ask one extra question than make an assumption, and you can expect prompt responses, regular photo and video updates, and complete transparency throughout your time away. While I would be comfortable offering boarding in the future, I currently choose not to because I share my home with a beloved cat. My decision isn't out of concern for her behavior—it's simply because I don't want to bring unfamiliar dogs into her space. By focusing exclusively on house sitting, I can give your pets individualized care in the environment where they feel safest and most at ease, while ensuring every animal in my care is comfortable, secure, and happy.

About: My experience with both puppies and senior pets. I’m comfortable with training reinforcement, administering medication, and providing extra care for older animals. I prioritize consistency, clear communication, and treat every pet like family—always keeping owners updated with photos and notes. I’m a full-time teacher looking for a fun and meaningful way to spend my summers by helping others care for their furry friends. Since I don’t have a pup of my own, I’m especially excited to spend time walking, playing, and exploring outdoors—with your pet by my side! In a client’s home, I follow their routine as closely as possible—feeding, walks, playtime, and medication—so pets feel safe and comfortable. I keep the space tidy and always provide updates. In my home, I offer a calm, pet-friendly environment with plenty of attention, play, and rest, tailored to each pet’s needs.

I’m flexible during the day and can work with weird schedules. Let me know how I can help. I’ve house sat many times for pets with special needs. About: I've grown up with animals my entire life. I look at my own, like my kids. I want to provide peace while you're away, knowing your animal(s) is/are being cared for properly. I reside in Labadie and understand the frustration that can come with finding an honest, reliable and trustworthy person to care for our fur babies. We don’t have as many resources available as the county. I can help fill that void. A walk, a little play time or feeding? Let me know your needs! I'd love to help! I work full time as a financial economic crime analyst for a large agricultural bank. I work from home 2 of the 5 days and the other 3 I am in Chesterfield working from the office. I work 7-4 but typically leave work around two and have flexibility should our hours not align 100%. Communication is key, let me know your needs. I am able to provide services at your personal residence (no night stays) or at my home if dog/cat friendly, and will follow/complete all requests and needs.

About: I've administered diabetic medication and pills for years and am very comfortable doing so. I work well with high needs pets, especially those older in age and disabled. I can walk both cats and dogs at their pace and am committed to their cognitive enrichment with toys and games and also to their comfort with gentle words and cuddles. I work part time: Monday-Thursday evenings and Saturday morning-afternoon. My pet care schedule is super open as I am a very laid back person who usually prefers to stay in. Mon-Thur I can be around from early morning until 3, on Saturday I'm available by 4, and I am totally free for the day and night on Friday and Sunday. I always safety check harness and leash before opening the door and I'm extremely careful to keep all exits secured. As someone with a sneaky cat, I know how it is. I'm aware of harmful human foods and products and always keep my things stored away safely.

About: All my life, I have bonded with both dogs and cats, and animals in general. I have been told that I have an ability to connect with any animal effortlessly. While I have been dog-sitting for friends, family, and others for about four years, I also have worked as a Caregiver at CARE STL, an animal shelter in St. Louis. During my time at CARE, I fed, walked, played, and formed connections with over 100 dogs, as well as cats and other animals. After that, I started working as a server/bartender at Bar-K, to make money while still working in an animal-friendly environment. Since then, I have been a reliable, trusted, and consistent dog-sitter for many clients. The safety and care of any animal is always my biggest priority, and I promise that I will not disappoint! I currently am not working, as I have just recently graduated from Saint Louis University. In other words, I am more often than not, completely available to work anytime on Weekdays and Weekends. However, on June 1st, I will be starting an internship that requires 20 hours a week but my schedule is extremely flexible, as the internship is willing to adjust to whatever schedules I have. Because of my flexible availability, I am able to spend as much time with your fur baby as you would like me to. Whether it be cuddling, playing, or going outside, I will provide all of my attention and services to the care of your animals.

About: New to Rover but not new to dogs and cats! I’ve been an animal lover my whole life, growing up with both cats and dogs and caring for them as part of the family. I currently share my home with two cats, a Black Lab, and a German Shepherd. I have experience with reactive dogs, high energy dogs and large breeds. I love spending time outdoors and especially enjoy hiking with dogs and exploring nature together. I can provide a pet taxi service to vet appointments, chiropractors or groomers. I am available for dog walks, drop-ins and also administering medication. I can also incorporate any type of training you are currently working on into drop-ins and walks. If you need someone dependable who will show up rain or shine, keep you updated with photos, and love your pet like family, I’d love to help. I look forward to connecting with your pets! I homeschool my 4 children and as they are getting older, I am finding more pockets of time in my schedule. Every day is a little different for us so I am flexible and have availability at different times throughout the day. I can carefully follow instructions based on your pet’s individual needs. I have a peaceful energy and really try to pay attention to their body language and what they are trying to tell me through that. I am very active and can walk long distances.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
