About: Who let the dogs out (and keep the cats in!) I do! I’m Katherine, and I am here to take care of your pets with love and care. Fur momma, animal lover, and dedicated teacher—nurturing hearts both human and furry, one lesson at a time! I teach High School Engineering at Myers Park. My passion for teaching is equal to my passion for animals. I take pride in taking exceptional care of your fur babies that we like to call our guests. I have been a dog and cat owner my entire life. There was never a time when we did not have a cat or dog or a combination. I currently have a little 14 year old Papillon. I have experience with both senior cats and dogs. I also have experience in administering medication of all kinds. Included in my services. I offer drop ins, doggy daycare and in-home boarding for small breed dogs, providing a warm and safe environment for them to stay overnight. Your pet will enjoy our fully fenced backyard, belly rubs, and plenty of lap time! Last minute and emergencies accepted as long as space is available. They must get along with other dogs and be ok with a small child (4 years of age). Your fur baby will never be unsupervised as someone will always be home. Please let me know if your pet has any special needs for me to manage appropriately. Breed Restrictions: For the safety and comfort of all pets in my care, I do not accept certain strong or high-energy breeds, including Pit Bulls, Dobermans, Boxers, Mastiffs, and similar breeds. Thank you for your understanding and support of a safe, happy space for everyone. I’d love to learn more about your dog and how I can help make their stay feel like a home away from home! I’m a teacher during the school year. I love to keep busy. Being your substitute fur momma allows flexibility and helps support my family during the summer months. When I care for pets in my home I treat them as they are my own. I have an enclosed backyard. We would spend time outside playing in the backyard, going for walks around the neighborhood (dogs only), spend time cuddling, etc. they would be provided meals according to the schedule you have set for them. They would have a specific place designated for their food and water. Fluffy bedding accommodations would be provided unless they you have one to provide they prefer.

“Dropped our 2 dogs off for day care. They were well cared for and received plenty of attention. Liliana was very responsive to questions and flexible on the schedule change. Will definitely book again!”

About: I adore animals, and always want you to trust that your precious dog or cat is comfortable, safe, and happy while you’re away. I’ve been a pet owner most of my life. I grew up with dogs, hamsters, and fish, and have pet-sat dogs and cats since childhood. I care for several friends’ and neighbors’ dogs, both young and elderly, both in and out of my home. I have experience caring for a friend’s older rescue pup, working her way through trauma and trust issues, who has slowly warmed up to me. My family of five humans currently have a beloved dog, Sunny, and sweet little hamster, Poppy. I work part-time, mostly from home, so I have a lot of free time for drop-ins, walks, daycare, and boarding. I enjoy time in my house and yard, playing with my dog, as well as taking walks, so dogs are the perfect companions! I have a fenced-in yard, and let my dog outside throughout the day and evening (although she prefers being inside). I also have gates that can be used to limit access to certain rooms or stairs as needed. I don’t use a crate for my dog or others I’ve watched in the past, but will if needed for the dog’s safety, anxiety, or comfort.

“Cheryl is great! Very communicative and friendly. My pup felt welcomed right away. Her entire home is dog friendly and truly a little dog oasis!”

“Molly was great with my dog! She ensured my dog got plenty of enrichment, including walks, socialization with another dog, and new experiences. Molly also kept me informed on everything and gave quick responses. I wouldn’t hesitate to reach out again”

“Agador loved his first day and was so happy. I loved the pictures and feedback when I picked him up. Not to mention how nice Keira is and the family. Would definitely recommend Keira to keep your fur baby”

About: I've taken care of all types of dogs with all energy levels, and have been regularly dog sitting for friends and family for the last decade, and love doing it! I'm a very active person and am willing to take dogs on long walks, hikes or even runs, but also have a fenced in yard for dogs that prefer to stay close to home. I have a soft spot for older dogs, as I was the primary caregiver for my childhood dog that lived to be 16 years old. I've also gained a ton of experience with shy dogs during covid, as I foster failed with my current dog, who was a completely feral, terrified street dog. She is now a sweet pet who loves when other dogs come to visit! I currently work from home, and can make time throughout the day for cuddles, walks and yard time with the pups in between work meetings. My house is a safe environment for you pet. I make sure to do slow introductions with my dog and any new dogs coming into the house, and the dogs eat in separate rooms (no matter how well they get along). Yard time is always supervised.

“Caroline is fantastic! She was available at the perfect time and was great with our young puppy. She sent pictures and kept us in the loop throughout the day. Will definitely be requesting her in the future!”

About: I am a lifelong animal lover and have been caring for animals ever since I was a teenager. Today I am the proud mama of a 2 1/2 year-old standard poodle named Biscuit and a 7 year old Labradoodle named Bart, both male. A couple of years ago, my teenage daughters started babysitting and pet sitting in our neighborhood and naturally I got involved every now and then which has led me to Rover. Something interesting about our family is that our older dog, Bart, is a rescue and has quite the story! We drove to Ohio in August 2019 to pick him up and when we got back to Charlotte, he jumped our fence at the time and was missing for 4 months. We worked independently and with an animal tracker over the course of those months - setting up cameras where sightings were reported, setting up food traps, and plastering flyers all over Charlotte and Matthews. Then one day in December, all of our hard work paid off and a lovely woman was able to lure Bart into her yard with her own dogs. It has been a long road since then, but we are blessed to say that he has come a long way and is a very different dog than the one we picked up in Ohio all those years ago! That experience taught us so much and was a true testament to the power of determination and dedication. We truly believe that Bart was meant to be in our family. I am currently a stay at home mom of older kids so I have lots of time and flexibility to work with pet parents needs. I have a large fenced yard that has been reinforced because of 1 of our own dogs being an escape artist. We do not crate our own dogs just because we have not needed to and will allow any dogs staying with us to roam freely with our own, as long as the parents are comfortable with that. I strive to make animals feel at home in our home because I know the feeling that comes with having to leave your animals in someone else’s care.

About: Since I was young, I’ve had a special connection with animals. I grew up in a home with dogs and cats, and over time, I became the go-to person for friends and family whenever they needed someone to care for their pets while they traveled. For over 10 years, I’ve looked after dogs of all breeds and sizes, from energetic puppies to senior dogs requiring special care. I’ve also cared for cats, learning to respect their unique personalities and needs. My experience has taught me the importance of patience, love, and routine to ensure every pet feels safe and happy under my care. I work from home, so I have plenty of time and a flexible schedule to care for your pets. Whether they need walks, playtime, or just companionship, I’ll make sure they feel comfortable and well cared for. I’ve always had a deep love for animals and truly enjoy spending time with them. Caring for pets isn’t just a job for me—it’s something I’m passionate about. I make sure every pet feels safe, comfortable, and loved while in my care. Whether it’s playtime, walks, or just some extra cuddles, your furry friend will receive plenty of attention and a home-like environment where they can feel happy and relaxed.

She’s been so patient and kind, and now both of our dogs get super excited when she walks through the door. She’s incredibly reliable and always sends daily updates with sweet pictures of our pups, which we really appreciate. “Anne is the best dog sitter because I have witnessed for over 20 years how much she deeply cares for her dogs and others' dogs. She is the type of person that has to have a dog in her life because she loves them so much. She has taken great care of her dogs by walking almost every day, spending quality time, training and taking them everywhere she can with her. She has dogsat my golden retriever and I know I don't have to worry about him at all with her, because I know he will get lots of attention and love. And our dogs are best friends as we take them on walks and have playdates together. She has even visited my cat at my house daily when we were gone and he loves Anne too. Don't hesitate to have Anne watch your precious fur babies!”

“Gonzalo is a dedicated and passionate person when it comes to animals. Along with his wife, Diana, they share a deep love for pets, which they have passed on to their daughter, Valentina. Thanks to this, Valentina has volunteered at animal foundations, showing her commitment and care for animal welfare. As a family, they are extremely responsible and trustworthy. They care for animals with the same love and attention as they do for their own, ensuring they are in a safe and loving environment.
