About: I understand completely how nerve racking leaving your best friend with a stranger is. But, my name is Haley and I absolutely LOVE ALL animals. Small, medium, large, furry, fluffy, naked, or scales! My speciality lies with canines. From teething rambunctious puppies to seniors who need extra attention and patience. My husband (Christopher) and I both work from home. This leaves our schedule very flexible to accommodate yours. We have one Vaderdog. He’s a 13 year old German Pinscher who’s a Sniff-Lord. “All smells must be sniffed” is his motto. Preferably I’d watch your fur-child in their home, but happy to acclimate them to ours. We have a fenced in back yard, dog parks, and opens fields and trails with plenty of space for off leash adventures. Don’t hesitate to bring anything your love needs to be more comfortable. Please note I am capable for administering any medications and understand processes for crate training, nose work, and learning enrichments. Tell you familiar I said hello! Hope to meet them soon. Their routine is my routine. Looking to turn taking caring of animals into what I do for the rest of my life. My schedule will always be updated to reflect my availability. Where they are most comfortable and at peace is what I want to provide. Our house has a fenced in back yard and dog parks, opens fields and trails nearby with plenty of space for off leash adventures.

“I was being held hostage by our newly rescued 3yr old Bengal. For two and a half days I could not catch this cat to put him the carrier to take him with us to the Keys for Christmas. Yeah, Rachel came to my rescue on such short notice. I felt so comfortable with her after a phone chat that we had our meet and greet over the internet. She was super patient as I tried to figure it out. lol I felt so comfortable with her that I knew she would take good care of my kitty while we were away for several weeks. It was nice to get pictures from her visits. I have now adopted two Savannah kitties and again last minute she has me covered to enjoy a quick trip. Thanks so much Rachel, Beth”

About: I’ve spent over 30 years around animals—growing up on a farm with horses, cows, chickens, and, of course, dogs and cats gave me a deep understanding of animal behavior and care from a young age. That lifelong experience has shaped how I care for pets today: with patience, attention, and a genuine love for animals. I currently have two dogs of my own, including one who is mostly blind, so I’m very comfortable with senior pets and those with special needs. I’m also experienced with administering medication and always take the time to make sure each dog or cat feels safe, seen, and cared for—whether it’s a quick drop-in visit or a relaxing walk for your pup. Pets are family, and I treat every dog and cat I care for like one of my own—with compassion, consistency, and a few extra belly rubs or head scratches. Pet care is a natural and fulfilling part of my daily routine. With open availability from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. (with just 24 hours’ notice), I’m able to give each visit or walk the time and attention it deserves. I build my schedule around the needs of the pets I care for, whether that’s early morning walks, midday check-ins, or evening visits. I also understand that life doesn’t always go as planned—emergencies happen. When they do, I’ll do my best to be there for you and your pets, offering dependable support when you need it most. Caring for animals isn’t just something I do—it’s something I genuinely love being part of every day. I provide care exclusively in my clients’ homes, where pets are most comfortable and secure in their familiar environment. I follow all care instructions closely, including feeding schedules, medication needs, exercise routines, and any behavioral guidelines. During each visit, I ensure your pet receives the time and attention they need, with their routine maintained as closely as possible to minimize any disruption. I also make sure that all gates, doors, and crates are properly secured before leaving, and that your home is left clean and as I found it. My focus is on consistency, safety, and respecting both your pet and your home.

“Mel watched my 9 year old puppy and it could not have gone better. Normally he will not eat and is very shy the first few days in a new environment. Mel was able to get him on a normal routine and thrived while in her care. Knowing I can drop the doggo off with someone that will ensure he is not stressed is a great relief. Highly recommend Mel for all your doggy needs.”
