“Wow. Svetlana is an absolutely wonderful dog-sitter. She came and watched my pup in my home for 6 days and they loved her. She sent me photos every day and little updates. I didn't worry about them once. Don't hesitate to book her for any pet care needs!”

“Hadija did a great job as always with Max. No matter where we go my husband is always rushing to get back home to Max but for the first time yesterday he said that since Hadija was at home with Max we didn’t need to rush back. That is a huge compliment to Hadija!”

“Elizabeth was absolutely amazing!!! She sent numerous updates and photos throughout the day/week to let me know how my dogs were doing, and I could tell they felt comfortable and happy around her! Cannot wait to have her watch them again. Would 100% recommend her!”

“We recently went out of the country for 10 days and needed someone trustworthy to care for our dog, Kai. This was our first time using Rover, and trusting Rebecca with Kai was one of the best decisions we made! From the very beginning, Rebecca was professional, communicative, and clearly passionate about animals. Throughout our trip, she kept us updated with daily photos and messages, which gave us so much peace of mind. Kai looked so happy and relaxed in every photo, and it was clear he was in great hands. When we returned, Kai was calm, well-cared for, and his usual playful self—Rebecca went above and beyond to make sure he was loved and comfortable while we were away. If you’re looking for a caring, reliable, and dedicated dog sitter, Rebecca is the one. She made our first Rover experience so easy, and we’ll definitely be reaching out to her again in the future!”

“Brittany was amazing with my dog Roo! She was able to watch her last minute due to travel plans changing and provided me with tons of updates. Roo is a little quirky and is on the anxious side but brittany made sure to give her plenty of love and attention.”

About: I have been taking care of and pet sitting animals, whether it be my own, my family’s or friends basically my whole life. More recently, I have been involved with The Seeing Eye since 2018, as a puppy sitter as well as a volunteer Puppy Raiser, and I have been bathing and grooming dogs professionally since early 2021, working with little puppies for their first grooms all the way up to senior dogs who need a little more love and patience during the grooming process. I have several years of experience working with puppies on basic obedience, and potty training. In addition, I have a 6 year old german shepherd who I have raised and trained myself who I love with my whole heart. I currently work 5 days a week as a groomer, however my schedule can be flexible. I am available most nights after 6 pm and all day Tuesdays and Wednesdays. I do not pet sit in my own home, as I live in a small apartment. However, I would be more than happy to stay over a clients home if needed!
“Jordyn did a great job caring for my westie in my home while I was away for a week. She sent updates and pictures. He was well cared for. When I returned home, Jordyn made sure everything was in perfect order! Linus misses her already! We’ll be calling Jordyn again! I highly recommend her!”

“Rwitika is simply outstanding in all respects whether caring, sense of responsibility, attitude, everything. We will look forward to contact her again as and when we need Brady’s care during our absence.”

“We will continue to book Ethan again and again. He took the best care of our large dog, checked in each day, and left the house in better shape than he found it. Super professional, kind, and our dog just loved him. Highly recommend.”

“Michaela did such a great job watching our dog. She was very pleasant and professional. I will definitely use her again next time we go on vacation. I will also recommend her to anybody need somebody to watch there dog.”
“Annett is wonderful and I’d recommend her to anyone! She stayed with our two sphynx cats for 10 days while we were in Europe. She took the time to really bond with them and we felt so much better knowing they were getting plenty of attention and care while we were away. She had excellent communication and her daily updates brought smiles to our faces every time!”

About: I’ve grown up in a house filled with dogs and cats my whole life. In the last year, I have turned taking care of animals into a part time gig and am looking to do more of it! I currently work some nights in the evening but usually fill my days with walks and drop ins and am looking to increase the amount of families I help. I promise to be very respectful of your home and take care of your pets the way I would hope someone would take care of mine.
About: Hi! My name is Xiomara and I love all animals :) I have been a pet sitter for a many years now. I’m very hands on and love to spend time playing, cuddling, running, and ensuring that your fur baby gets the attention they need. I have experience with dogs of all sizes, cats, rabbits, fish, birds, ferrets, and many more. Having also been a babysitter for over 10 years, I have encountered many pets throughout my time spent with various families and understand the importance of catering to the different and unique needs of each pet and their distinct personalities. Thank you for considering me to care for your pets and I can’t wait to hear from you! I currently work full time Monday through Friday with two work from home days. I’m available before and after work on my three in-office days and have open availability on weekends. I can fully adapt to any specific routine your pets need to follow in the comfort of their home. I know every pet has varying routines and know the importance of sticking to their specific needs. For longer stays, I try to make myself available to ensure pets are still receiving love and cuddles they need while their parents are away!
About: ***RECENT MBA GRAD WITH TIME TO WORK BEFORE STARTING FULL-TIME POSITION THIS OCT*** Growing up, I helped care for my family's dog and regularly pet sat for neighbors' cats and dogs. I now have a cat of my own, so I truly understand the love and responsibility that comes with caring for a pet. I know firsthand how stressful it can be to leave your fur baby behind for a work trip or vacation. I’m committed to giving every pet the attention and affection they need to keep their owners at ease. I recently graduated from graduate school and am enjoying a flexible schedule while waiting for my new role to begin this fall. In the meantime, I'm taking on a variety of work, which means I have plenty of availability to accommodate your pet care needs whether that's a regular daily walk, a last-minute drop-in, or an extended stay. Your pet's safety and comfort are my top priorities. I treat every animal in my care as if they were my own, ensuring they stay in a secure, calm, and loving environment. I'm attentive, responsible, and always happy to send updates and photos so you can feel confident your pet is in great hands.
“I have a 12 year old dog and a 12 year old cat. The dog is pretty sick and needs very specific care and Jessica went above and beyond for both of them! You can tell she really cares deeply for the animals she takes care of. She sends very helpful updates, is very attentive to their needs and my pets already miss her.”
About: Over my life I have had 5 cats, 5 dogs ranging from small yorkies to pitbulls and a golden doodle. I would usually take responsibility for these animals like taking them outside on walks, feeding them, buying the toys they love to play with. Overall I can’t remember a time in my life where a pet was present around me in my home. Pet care fits into my daily routine easily I’d say, I am a freshman attending Rutgers New Brunswick and I do have a job but it’s not daily. I have a fenced in backyard that I used for all my dogs and if they got tired of just roaming the same backyard I’d take them on walks when they wanted it. I put them to sleep in their crates and feed them when it is time. My cats are pretty free and only bother me if they want to use the backyard or want food, but I like to keep them entertained so I play with them using the toys I’ve bought.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of August 2026, there are 17,637 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Osborn Mills. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Osborn Mills walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Osborn Mills maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Osborn Mills choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
