“Lana stayed at my house for one night with my puppy Brookie. She did a great job and followed all of my instructions and kept my high energy puppy busy! Sent lots of picture updates too! We will definitely be booking her again. Thanks Lana!”

“Elizabeth was absolutely amazing!!! She sent numerous updates and photos throughout the day/week to let me know how my dogs were doing, and I could tell they felt comfortable and happy around her! Cannot wait to have her watch them again. Would 100% recommend her!”

“Ethan has been such an amazing sitter for our pup. He's reliable, trustworthy, and always accommodating. He's there to help us whenever he can & is always super responsive. It's hard to find people to depend on, but Ethan is one of them! We're so thankful for him & would highly recommend his services to others.”

“Ryan was prompt, courteous and took great care of our dog Duke while we visited family out of state for a weekend. Duke immediately loved him and we felt at ease leaving him in Ryan’s care. We highly recommend Ryan and are looking forward to booking him again in the future!”

“Brittany was great to work with! She was communicative, arrived on time and was very responsible and engaging with my dogs. She sent us pictures during her visit and everyone was happy when we came home! We would definitely book pet sitting with Brittany again!”

“Amazing care! We got so many pictures and a few videos throughout the 11 days and Hero was well taken care of. He has a habit of eating things he shouldn't and there was only one minor incident that we were told of right away (and thankfully hasn't caused any issues). We're looking forward to booking them again!”

“Vlad is amazing with my dog. He is a senior dog who can be difficult at times to feed, but he is patient to make sure he eats all of his food. I can have a ease of mind leaving him with Vlad, because he takes care of him like he would his own. Can't recommend Vlad enough if you want someone to take care of your pets like you would while you're gone.”
About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats from a young age. I have worked at a veterinary office and feel comfortable giving medications and taking care of animals with illness and medical needs. I am currently a UVA grad student with availability most week days and weekend. I am happy to help with walking, drop-ins and feeding and house sitting. Please reach out to ask for specific questions about my schedule. I prefer to care for your pet in your home as I live in a one bedroom apartment. I may be able to take small dogs and cats in my home for short periods.
“I recently hired Jake as my dog walker, and I couldn't be happier with the experience! He truly went above and beyond my expectations. Not only did he take excellent care of my dog, but he also picked up my mail and even cleaned up my house, which was a delightful surprise. Communication was top-notch; Jake kept me well informed throughout the entire process and sent me tons of pictures, which made me feel connected and reassured while I was away. His attentiveness and dedication to my dog's well-being were evident, and I wholeheartedly recommend his services to anyone in need of a reliable and caring dog walker!”

About: I have taken care of a Border Collie since he was 6 weeks old. That dog is now 12 years old. I have helped raise this dog and have watched him interact with labrador retrievers and a labradoodle. I am devoted to pet care on a daily basis and want this as a part of my active and healthy lifestyle no matter what the weather might be. I am flexible and available to care for pets in their own home and have references to provide as needed. I am a tidy and considerate and able to travel to the pets home to accomplish this.
“We could not be more grateful for Raechel’s flexibility and communication the last week as we navigated finding pet care for a last-minute funeral. We returned home to a spotless house and happy, well cared for pets - with the TV turned on to one of their favorite programs, a detail that made us so happy. We will absolutely be booking with Raechel again!”

About: I have had a long standing passion for taking care of pets and animals. I understand that just like people, our pets sometimes need special care tailored to their needs. Whether it be their physical, emotional or social, I will always put your pet’s needs as a top priority. I have raised 3 puppies now and know the patience and attention to detail required to have the best pet for you and your family. I currently work a routine 9-5 job. At the moment weekends are when I will be primarily available, however my after work schedule is quite flexible and I am open to making any arrangements outside of the 9-5 hours during the work week! As of right now I live in an apartment with my girlfriend and golden retriever Nico. We take him on daily walks and are currently working on transitioning him away from the crate. I like to be prepared for any situation or emergency that may arise. This includes having local emergency vets in my phone contacts, having thorough discussions with owners about potential needs and/or desires your pet may have. My goal is to not only take care of your pet, but also build a trusting bond with both you and your beloved four legged friend.

About: Over my life I have had 5 cats, 5 dogs ranging from small yorkies to pitbulls and a golden doodle. I would usually take responsibility for these animals like taking them outside on walks, feeding them, buying the toys they love to play with. Overall I can’t remember a time in my life where a pet was present around me in my home. Pet care fits very easily in my schedule because all I have is school, I am a highschool student. After school I don’t have much to do so pet care fits easily in my schedule. I have a fenced in backyard that I used for all my dogs and if they got tired of just roaming the same backyard I’d take them on walks when they wanted it. I put them to sleep in their crates and feed them when it is time. My cats are pretty free and only bother me if they want to use the backyard or want food, but I like to keep them entertained so I play with them using the toys I’ve bought.
“I had the most incredible experience using Rover for the first time and securing Michael as my pet sitter within just 18 hours. From the initial phone call, I felt a great connection with Michael and knew he was the perfect person to care for my two dogs while I celebrated the Fourth of July on the Hudson River. Michael treated my fur babies as if they were his own, and I truly appreciated receiving photos throughout the evening, including a map of the walk he took with them. What impressed me the most was how receptive my dogs were to Michael, which immediately put my mind at ease. It was clear that he has a special way with animals and genuinely cares for their well-being. I cannot speak highly enough of my experience with Rover and Michael. I highly recommend reaching out to him for help with your furry loved ones. I will definitely be contacting him again the next time I am in need of pet care while in NJ. Thank you, Michael, for your exceptional care and attention to detail!”

Bernardsville pet parents share their Rover experiences
Meghan was so sweet to my separation anxiety pom while we were at a wedding, staying in a hotel. The night before she had cried for 4 hours while we were at the rehearsal dinner and the hotel sent us a note that told us if it started again they'd require removal of our pup. So we hopped on Rover and asked Meghan to step in with just hours before she'd need to come. She saved us! And with Meghan our pup felt so at ease, she was quiet and played with with her toys (thanks for sending video! It made my husband feel okay to relax at the wedding). Yay!
