About: I was fortunate enough to grow up in a house full of animals. We had dogs, cats, rats, guinea pigs, rabbits, turtles, geckos - oh my! I started pet-sitting professionally ten years ago, providing care for a friend’s foster cats, pet cats, and dogs while they were away. Through them I found many other word-of-mouth opportunities, where I began providing overnight services and picking up skills serving special needs animals - and later with my own pets - such as administering pill and liquid oral medication to dogs and cats, as well as injected medication such as insulin and nail clippings for cats. About: For most of my life, I’ve always had a wide variety of pets. Many years ago, I was a co-owner of all A’La Carte Pet Sitting which was a fantastic experience. I am currently volunteering at the Antioch Animal Shelter and passed several ASPCA behavioral and care courses for dogs and cats. My scope of pet care extends beyond just dogs and cats. Your pets will receive the care and love as if they're mine. I would say that accountability during a visit is essential. An initial meet-and-greet is highly recommended to ensure instructions are followed as requested, such as pet care, alarm, lights, gates/doors locked, retrieving mail, picking up poo and debris, etc.
