Whatever hesitation we felt was immediately put to rest when we had our meet and greet. We found Alison and Robert both to be warm and caring and patient, but also incredibly professional and thorough. They asked a lot of questions (and made a lot of notes) about each kitteh’s likes, dislikes, medical and emotional needs, favorite spots and toys, etc. They didn’t blink at hand feeding our toothless Persian rescue, and even succeeded at brushing both cats regularly (a feat we are still marveling at since our efforts have always been met with swats and glares). They even gently removed a tummy mat that we’d been gingerly working on before we left. Incredible! And all of that doesn’t even include the best part of working with them, which was the comforting and informative communication we received after every visit. Each update included the basics like meal and potty status, but also humorous and endearing notes and photos that captured our babies at play and getting lots of love and individualized attention. These photos and notes enabled us to fully enjoy our time away, because we could regularly see how relaxed and happy our pets were. Bonus: many of the shots were so artistic and well done that they rivaled those of a professional photographer! In closing, I would tell anyone considering a booking with Alison and Robert that they truly understand and love animals and know how to cultivate trust. About: I have been around pets ever since I was a child. I have taken care of dogs and cats for both family and friends! I have a dog of my own as well, she’s a yellow lab :) I’m a college student and I have frequent long breaks in between classes, so I’ll have plenty of time to care for your pets! About: This past March, I brought home my own 10 week old puppy! I have cared for her and trained her in these past few months and she’s been great. Puppies are a handful but I would love to work with more! I’ve also walked/cared for multiple adults dogs of my neighbors and friends I currently work full time during the week so I’m looking to be available on weekends only. I have my own puppy to care for as well so I want to focus on her during the week and then feel I can find more openings to help others on the weekends At our home, it is not fenced in so the dog will be leashed the whole time. There is a public park directly in from of our house for the pup to sniff and walk/run around! It is also not fenced in so would keep them leashed at all times. Barry park is also nearby our house. For client houses, I would follow your lead on what harness/collar you deem best for your dog and the preferred type of leash. Would of course ensure they are on leash during the whole walk/outside time.
