“Alta had a great time here. Nathan has a nice set-up (fenced back yard for my dog to run laps chasing her new friends around). Nathan has thoughtful system for avoiding food or resource/toy guarding among dogs (not a concern with my dog but I appreciate how it showed that he is mindful of dog dynamics and safety). Alta came home happy and tired and I felt comfortable that she was well-cared for.”

About: I am a 15-minute walk from Northacres Off-Leash Dog Area which in my opinion is the nicest dog park around! I am not currently a dog owner, but have been in the past (lab/rottweiler mix). I could only find one picture of myself with him (circa 2006-2008) - great pic of him, not so great pic of me! A friend suggested that I become a sitter for Rover after I cared for her Husky (which was an absolute pleasure, and convinced me that we need more dog energy in our lives!) I work seasonally in late summer, and from late fall through early spring. Spring, early summer and early fall are usually available for pet sitting including overnight stays. My life partner Elizabeth works part time but will be available to help occasionally as well. We have a fenced back yard. Also 2 cats who are a year old and have not yet experienced dog love - however they have outdoor cat enclosures which they can access 24 hours a day in case they feel the need to have their own space. We treat all pets like family or human guests; we will cater to your dog's needs and desires as much as we can, and they will be an important part of our day/evening.

“We needed a last minute sitter for Tank, our 2 month old and Jan was more than accommodating! Tank clearly had a great time with Jan, Elena, and the other pups. Jan sent us photos of Tank throughout the day which made me feel good because this is the first time I have trusted him in the care of someone else. We picked him up and he was tired and ready for bed. Even though it is a bit of a drive from work, it was well worth it and I will definitely be using Jan as a sitter again!”
