About: My wife Sherry and I have had pets for the last 31 years of marriage. We know how important it is to find a responsible and trusting person to take care of your pets while you're away. Let us take care of your precious pets and we will treat them like our own. You can have them hosted in our house or we can make drop in visits at yours. We live in a secluded area with a large yard which your pets will enjoy. I'm an IT professional and my wife stays home so there is always someone looking after your pets. We'll take the stress away from you while you are away from your pets by treating them like our own. I work full time but my wife Sherry is home all day. We are a team a she will look after the pets during the day and we both will take care of them at night. We currently don't have any dogs since we recently lost our little old man Monty. We have one indoor/outdoor cat named Creature which is very friendly. We have a large back yard which is not fenced but we can take them out on a leash or tie them up on a lead an supervise them. Our property is secluded and is not close to a road so, there is no danger from traffic.
About: Hi! I’m home for the summer and excited to spend time doing something I love, caring for animals. I’ve grown up with dogs my whole life, and I recently lost my own, which reminded me just how much animals mean to me. While I don’t have time for a full-time pet right now, I still stay involved by volunteering every week at a local animal shelter and helping care for the cat I live with at school. I also worked as a vet assistant for a year, so I’m experienced with pets of all ages and temperaments. Whether it’s dogs, cats, or anything in between, I’ll treat your pet with the same love and care I gave my own. I’m currently taking an online summer course with a very flexible schedule, so I’m available throughout the summer for pet sitting, dog walking, and drop-in visits. Since I’m not working right now, I have plenty of time to give your pet the attention and care they deserve. Whether it’s daily walks, playtime, or overnight stays, I’m happy to help however I can! In your home, I follow your pet’s routine closely, feeding, walks, playtime, and any special instructions, so they stay comfortable and happy while you’re away. I make sure they get plenty of attention and care!
About: As a dog owner myself I understand the level of trust required to leave your pet in a strangers care. I have been caring for dogs since I was a young teen and feel comfortable with a variety of different breads and temperaments. It can be hard knowing your dog is cooped up when you have a busy day. Let me help your pup get out and enjoy their day! I am currently available to help with your pup on Sundays starting as early as 6am. May be available on weekdays after 6pm depending on my schedule. I have a border collie whom my husband and I take to training, on regular walks, and socialize her downtown often. We reward her for good behavior and we're understanding of bad behavior, but quick to correct it. Dogs under my care are very well taken care of.

“Svetlana always does a very good job with Holly. She is very conscientious and takes good care of my dog. I’m very pleased with her as a walker. I’ve used her many times and will continue to use her in the future.”

About: I have been taking care of dogs for 10 years, whether mine or those belonging to family. I have trained puppies as well as taken care of my dogs that have reached their golden years, and helped them over the rainbow bridge. My top two priorities are communication and safety. Any need you have regarding your pet is of utmost importance because pets aren’t just animals - they’re family! I have two dogs at home, one is 1 1/2 years old and the other is nearly 4. We walk 3 times daily, as well as plenty of enrichment time inside. Enrichment depends on the day, it can be playing with toys, eating treats from snuffle mats, lick mats, or just running around with them until they’re as tired as I am! Safety is my biggest priority. I follow instructions very carefully, I keep a close eye on your fur babies both in the house and outside. I can send real time updates that way you know exactly what is going on at all times, and I will always make sure to ask questions when needed. I can recreate your pets routine as closely as possible, and I will always bring positive energy!
“Autumn is the best dog walker and takes such great care of my pup. She documents details from her walks, such as when my dog goes to the bathroom, which helps me know what to expect when I get home. She’s super reliable and lets me know well in advance when she has travel plans. She’s also super flexible if I need to change the schedule on short notice. She also brings in packages without me even asking. She’s the best!”

About: Hello hello! My name is Jocelyn, and I’m a 20-year-old dog lover that recently picked up petsitting in December! 😋🫶🏽 Until recently, I’d grown up with pets my entire life. Since my last childhood Pitbull, Roxy (one out of three total dogs) passed away in July, it’s been difficult adjusting to life without them to share it with me. My schedule feels hollow and incomplete after having spent the last four years with two senior dogs. These four years have given me experience waking up both late and early to tend to a pet’s many needs, and stay up as long as needed to ensure their safety and wellbeing. Living in a house of dog lovers, your pet(s) will be both well-cared for and showered with love all throughout their stay. 💕 Having our late girl’s passing so recent, we still have all the living necessities available for use if need be. This includes pet beds, food/water bowls, functional kennels, poop bags, and (unopened) toys. We adore our dogs, and are ready to cherish yours just as much before they return back into your loving arms. Petsitting will provide peace of mind for both me and my clients. Whether you’re away for a short or extended period, rest assured your pet(s) stay with us will be easygoing, well communicated, and overall an experience to remember! 😁 I’m currently being considered for a full-time position outside of Rover. When I eventually enter the workforce, petsitting will likely become a background gig I can no longer give my full attention to. Since it’ll be my first job ever, adapting to a new schedule will cause me to become heavily split between sleep, work, and my own physical health, which will conflict with petsitting until I find a decent balance. More info will come when I get the job! 😄 Our family and neighborhood is strict about leashes, so despite our open deck and yard, while outside your pet will NEVER be without a leash or left unattended. Provided collar and leashes would be appreciated! We have a room designated for crates in case of emergencies, and will not hesitate to use them in the unlikely circumstance that we need them. Our lives were once surrounded by two pitbulls and a chihuahua that we showered with love daily. Expect that your pet(s) will be treated as if they were our own! ❤️
About: I've been caring for dogs since I was young. I currently have four furry friends and it is a joy to be with them! I enjoy all activities that I do with them and try to make each one memorable! I am currently available for most if not all days of the week. (except when on vacation :) ). I usually get up pretty earlier, around 6/6:30 so if any early risers need some help, I'm your gal! Just reach out and we can find the times and days that work best for both of us! I will be able to watch out for your dogs and they are in safe hands. Whatever routine you want them on, I will uphold that to make sure our furry friend are not thrown into a funk!
“Cory was great with my dog, who can be difficult and high energy. He sent plenty of pictures and updates during the visit. I highly recommend him - especially if you are looking for someone that will be patient with your pet!”

About: I am a current fourth year veterinary student, and I have several years of experience in clinics and boarding facilities working with dogs and cats. Caring for pets isn’t just a job for me, it’s what I’ve dedicated my life and education to. Because of my clinical training and professional experience, I’m comfortable caring for pets of all ages, sizes, and temperaments. I have experience administering medications, monitoring for changes in behavior, and providing attentive care to pets who may be anxious or require special handling. Whether your dog needs an energetic walk, or your cat needs a reliable sitter while you’re away, you can feel confident knowing they are in capable hands. I treat every pet as if they were my own and prioritize safety, comfort, and enrichment at every visit. I’m currently working at a local veterinary clinic part-time, so I will have plenty of time to care for your pets. I am free every day of the week for walks and drop-by sitting, and my timing is flexible each day depending on what your needs are! I will monitor your pets in your home and ensure that they stay within my sight and are not getting into anything they shouldn't be. When they are outside, I will either take them out on a leash if your yard is not fenced, or keep watch on them while they are in a fenced-in yard. On walks, I will use whatever accessories you suggest for your dog, whether that be a harness, collar, etc. I will bring water with me for any extended walks, and be sure to monitor them for any signs of fatigue especially in our hot weather. I am very flexible and can provide many different kinds of care tailored to your pet!
“Jessica did amazing with our dog Molly! She left extensive and detailed notes each day about the walk. I loved receiving multiple photos each day. It gave us good peace of mind knowing Molly was being taken care of someone we could trust. We will definitely use her again in the future!”

About: A sitter let my dog toby get attacked, I would never want a parent to go through what I did! I know how to walk, clean, feed and care for your baby like my own! I work part time and do nails! So I make my own schedules and work around everything!! Rover is perfect for me with a flexible and interchangeable schedule. I feed my babies twice a day, a walk around 2pm from whoever is home, and I typically try to get some play time in during the afternoon! My doggy’s love fetch!
About: My home offers a private, low-volume stay designed for dogs who thrive with calm energy, consistency, and one-on-one attention. I intentionally keep my bookings extremely limited, typically no more than 2 to 3 dogs at a time, so each dog receives focused care, supervision, and a truly personalized experience. This is a quiet, structured environment where dogs are part of my daily routine, not rotated through large group play or overstimulating settings. Every stay is designed to feel stable, safe, and relaxed. For dogs who enjoy social interaction, I carefully incorporate supervised play and enrichment opportunities when appropriate and with owner approval. Social time is always based on each dog’s temperament, energy level, comfort, and overall fit. I intentionally keep my care balanced and structured, ensuring dogs who benefit from interaction have positive experiences while maintaining the peaceful environment I’m known for. Dogs here benefit from: • Consistent supervision and presence • Calm, structured daily routines • One-on-one attention and interaction • Low-stress, balanced social dynamics • A peaceful environment without overstimulation Your dog is never left unattended for long periods and is never placed in chaotic or crowded situations. This is a more intentional, hands-on level of care for owners who want peace of mind knowing their dog is truly being looked after. The property includes open space, shaded areas, and quiet walking paths. Outdoor time is always supervised and tailored to each dog’s comfort level, energy level, and recall reliability. This setting is an excellent fit for: • Dogs who prefer a calm environment • Senior dogs or lower-energy breeds • Dogs who benefit from structure and routine • Anxious or sensitive dogs • Owners looking for a more private, personalized stay I do accept well-mannered and social dogs, as long as they align with the calm, balanced environment here. Each stay is thoughtfully matched to maintain a safe and positive experience for everyone. If your dog would benefit from a more active, high-energy environment, I can also help guide you toward the best fit to ensure they have the experience they need. Caring for animals is already the rhythm of my day. I’m home full time, so everything I do revolves around feeding schedules, outdoor playtime, training, cleaning, and making sure everyone’s comfortable. My mornings start with letting the dogs out to stretch and play while I prep meals and check water buckets. Throughout the day, I rotate them between play areas, nap spots, and one-on-one time inside. there’s room for everyone to get fresh air, sunshine, and plenty of space to explore safely. I treat visiting dogs exactly like my own with the same attention, structure, and love. Nights are calm with everyone settled in for dinner, cuddles, and quiet time before bed. Pet care isn’t something I squeeze in; it is my lifestyle. When pets stay with me, they get the best of both worlds! I have a safe indoor area where they can relax, play, and feel comfortable, plus a secure outdoor space where they can get fresh air, stretch their legs, and enjoy supervised playtime. I keep both areas clean and cozy, and I always make sure pets are monitored while outside. Whether it’s sunshine and fetch or chill time indoors, I tailor their routine to what makes them happiest and most comfortable.
About: What sets me apart from other sitters is the genuine love and patience I have for every animal I care for, no matter their age or needs. I’m confident in basic training techniques for young dogs, including crate training, potty routines, and leash manners. For older pets, I’m attentive to signs of discomfort, medication schedules, and providing a calm, comforting environment. I treat each pet like they’re my own and always go the extra mile to make sure they feel safe, loved, and well cared for. Pet care fits naturally into my daily schedule because I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals and prioritize their needs as part of my routine. Their well-being is always a top priority, and I’m flexible and organized to keep things running smoothly. Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
