About: I have been watching sweet fur babies since I was in grade school. I have been responsible for feeding, walking, cleaning up after, and giving lots of attention to my customer’s furry friends. I promise to treat your fur baby like my own and I can’t wait to meet you! I work part time so I can walk and care for your pets regularly, giving them all of the attention they need in the morning, midday, and night. I am very detail oriented so I will be able to give your pet quality care as well as ensure they are safe in their environment. About: I have grown up around animals my entire life and I’ve always had a passion for helping them. I used to pet sit for neighbors often when I was younger. I have a particular love for cats, and I would do anything for them! It can be hard to find a person to watch your cat or even exotic pet, but that’s what I’m aiming to help people with! I have almost 6 years of clinical animal care technician and shelter experience so I am well trained with animals with medical issues. I have worked with pets of all kinds and all ages with different needs. I have done everything from bottle feeding to giving senior animals insulin or whatever else they may need. I am Fear Free certified as well. I recently moved to the area and am looking for work. Caring for pets is what I know and love. If I get a more steady job, my availability may lessen. I understand that pets can be confused by new people coming into their home to take care of them, but I am well versed in animal behavior and would never do anything to make your pet uncomfortable. I will take the time to get to know your pet and assist them with whatever they may need. I currently do not live in a situation where I can petsit other people’s pets in my own home unfortunately.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was 8 years old. I have experience owning and caring for dogs since the third grade. I have experience feeding, grooming, bathing, playing, walking, jogging, running, and basic training (sit, stay, down, leave it, paw, high-five, heel, leash training) with dogs and puppies of all ages. About: I grew up in multi dog homes with large and small breeds (a Lab, a Weimie, a GSP, and 2 frenchies). I have PLENTY of experience walking, feeding, playing, cleaning up after, and interpreting body language of dogs. I’ve taken care of dogs in every life stage including puppies and seniors. Having a dog of my own hasn’t been feasible since moving to Davis for various reasons but I miss having furry companions! I’ve been getting my fix by walking and sitting for my friends and coworkers as well as volunteering with the “Barks and Rec” program at the Bradshaw Animal Shelter. An awesome program where shelter dogs get some much needed time out of the shelter and in front of potential adopters. The German Shepherd (named Dexter) in my profile picture was my last dog through the program and we had a lovely time walking along the American River. I work full time, regular hours (typically 9am-4:30pm) as a researcher in the agricultural biotech space. On weekdays, I’d be available for drop in visits/walks in the morning before work and in the afternoons after work. If necessary, a lunchtime visit may be feasible. Weekends are very flexible! You know your pet best! I’m most comfortable following your tried and true routines and rules so you and your pup can feel comfortable and at ease knowing I’m caring for them exactly as you would.

About: Animals have been at the heart of my life for as long as I can remember. Raised on a farm and on a pre-vet track from a young age, I’ve spent decades caring for animals of all kinds—from house pets to livestock to wildlife. Starting at 14, I volunteered in local vet clinics and wildlife rehab centers, gaining hands-on experience with everything from cats and dogs to peacocks, horses, goats, snakes, fish, birds, and cattle. At UC Davis, I deepened my care skills while working at the world-renowned Vet Hospital, tending to cats and dogs during the swing shift. I also worked with campus goats, pigs, sheep, fish, cattle, and horses—and even fostered cats for the hospital. Now in my 30s, I’m an education professional and dedicated pet mom to both cats and dogs. I continue to care for friends’ and neighbors’ pets with the same compassion, attention, and responsibility that’s guided me my whole life. I’m certified in Infant, Child, and Adult CPR/AED/First Aid, and have emergency care experience with animals large and small. I’m calm under pressure, reliable, and always communicate clearly—your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I'm currently taking a break from teaching, and being a full-time stay-at-home mama to my 2.5 year old daughter. I have plenty of time to care for your furry family member. Please note that at this time, we are seeking families whose pets are comfortable around toddlers and children. I have a fully fenced yard, and a park just around the corner from my house for those whose furry friends enjoy a stretch, walk, or playtime! I am comfortable using a crate, and we have plenty of floor room in the house (carpet and laminate) for them to lay down if they're not crate trained. We do not allow dogs on the furniture. Cats are allowed to wander the house. We are more than happy to put up child gates to keep your furry family member in certain areas of the house if they're prone to getting into things (such as stuffed animals for the kiddos... I mean really, a lot of doggie toys these days look so similar! I'd understand the misconception. lol) We're not afraid to be firm but kind if your family member needs set boundaries.
