About: As someone who has owned pets, I have years of experience in caring for both cats, dogs, lizards, and bunnies! When I could not locate a proper groomer for my shihtzu, I learned how cut my dog’s hair and clip his nails. When I owned cats, I did extensive research on diet to ensure they had all the nutrition they needed. I’m still fairly new to owning bunnies but I have learned a lot from vet visits and testimonials from other bun parents! I work during the day time usually from 8-1 or 9-3. I can fit late afternoon and nightly check ins, baths, walks, overnight sitting, and errands into my day if that’s what you’d like. I would love to spend as much time as I can making sure that your pet is well loved and taken care of. I don’t want to break an animal’s routine so if you have your pet on a schedule/routine, diet, or regiment of some sort, I plan to stick to that.

About: I began to offer pet-sitting to friends and family just for some dog breath and tail wags in my life after my dog passed away. A family member told me about Rover and - here I am! I know how important pets are to the families they love and how important it is to have peace of mind that they are in good hands while you're away. I will ensure that your fur baby has all that they need while they wait on their favorite human/s to come home. I've taken care of a dogs for most of my life. My childhood dog was one of my best friends. We would play together for hours and I was responsible to feed, bathe, and clean up after him. He loved belly rubs and going with us on family walks. When the neighbor's dogs broke through the fence and attacked him, I was the one who flushed and cleaned his wounds, changed his bandages, and nursed him back to health after he came home from the vet. He became diabetic when he grew old and I gave him his insulin shots. I also had an outdoor cat, and pet sat for a neighbor who had an iguana, fish, water turtles, and cockatiels. As an adult, I adopted a pit-mix rescue and we enjoyed obedience training, going to the dog park, car rides for a pup cup, going for walks, and playing tug-of-war. Last year, he was diagnosed with an oral tumor and he needed lots of extra care during his last months. He needed medication 3 times a day, a specialized diet when it became difficult for him to eat kibble, and eventually hand-feeding for him to be able to eat at all. He passed away 14 years old. I wouldn't trade one minute. I'm currently working part-time in the morning and would love to spend my afternoons with animals. If you need someone to care for your pet mid-day, we're the perfect match. I provide care where your pet feels safest - in their own home environment. Please leave me detailed instructions so I know where to find their food and food bowl, leash, toys, medications, etc. If you have spacial boundaries for your pet such as not being allowed on the couch or bed, in specific rooms, or if they are outside-dog only, etc., please let me know so I can respect and enforce those boundaries.

About: I’m a dedicated 21 year old dog lover who currently cares for two rescued female puppies. They are friendly and fixed :) Raising young shelter dogs has given me hands-on experience with puppy routines, socialization, basic training, exercise, and lots of patience. I understand the importance of consistency, positive reinforcement, and creating a safe, comfortable environment for pets. Growing up, I also owned a Chihuahua and spent time dog walking for others ever since I was a kid, which helped me learn how to work with dogs of different sizes, personalities, and energy levels. I’m comfortable with active puppies, shy dogs, and dogs that need extra attention and reassurance. What sets me apart is that I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals and treat every pet as if they were my own. Whether your dog needs playtime, walks, cuddles, or simply a caring companion while you're away, I’m committed to making sure they feel safe, happy, and loved. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. I currently work part-time as a delivery driver, which gives me a flexible schedule and allows me to stay close to home throughout the day. Because of that, I’m able to provide frequent potty breaks, exercise, playtime, feeding, and plenty of attention. I care for my own two young dogs every day, so pet care is already a major part of my routine. When I'm not working, I spend time walking, training, playing with, and caring for them. My flexible schedule allows me to adjust my day around the needs of the pets in my care and make sure they receive the attention, supervision, and affection they deserve. Safety is my top priority when caring for pets. In my home, dogs have access to a large, securely fenced yard where they can play, exercise, and explore safely under supervision. I also have a large crate available for dogs who are crate-trained or need a quiet place to relax. If a dog needs their own space, I can separate them using a dog gate and provide a comfortable area in my home where they can rest safely. I always monitor interactions between pets and make sure each dog is comfortable and stress-free. When caring for pets in a client's home, I follow their routines as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, exercise, medications, and any special instructions. I believe consistency helps pets feel secure and comfortable while their owners are away. My goal is to provide a safe, calm, and caring environment where every pet feels at home.

About: Growing up, I had two dogs starting at age 10, which gave me a strong foundation in understanding canine behavior and needs. I learned how to train them, manage their energy levels, and ensure they were well-socialized. Since moving out on my own at 18, I've continued my passion for pet care by having one dog and one cat. This experience has allowed me to develop skills in caring for multiple types of pets, including feeding, grooming, and providing companionship. Safety is my top priority when caring for pets. I always ensure that my home is a secure environment, free from hazards, and I’m vigilant during walks to keep them safe from traffic and other dangers. I’m comfortable with daily walks, playtime, and administering any necessary medications while keeping a close eye on their well-being. My goal is to provide a safe, loving, and stimulating environment for your pets, ensuring they feel at home while you’re away. I currently work a full time job. However Im still available every weekend , weekday and holidays for walks , check ins and more ! I always ensure that my home is secure, checking for any potential hazards like open windows, toxic plants, or small objects they could swallow. I keep cleaning supplies and other harmful substances out of reach. When it comes to playtime, I use safe toys and supervise their play to prevent any accidents. I also make sure to provide a safe space for them to retreat to, especially if they feel stressed or overwhelmed. During walks or outdoor time, I’m very cautious about their surroundings, ensuring they are kept on a leash if necessary, and I monitor them closely at all times. I’m experienced in administering medications and keeping track of their health, ensuring they stay safe and comfortable. My goal is to provide a loving and secure environment for your pet, making sure they feel safe and happy while you’re away.

About: I’ve worked with an adoption foundation in San Diego for two years helping rescue dogs get adopted, walking them, sitting them, and even fostering! I live in Bakersfield during school semesters and have rescued and returned three dogs and cats to their owners! I am a student athlete and I work very hard to keep up on tasks throughout my day. I play beach, volleyball and workout, apart from that I’m a huge animal lover! I have lots of free time as I have just finished my collegiate career in sports and school! I have stayed at a few friends houses to watch their animals overnight. I have dog and cat sit multiple times within the span of two years going into the home making sure there is water and food. If I’m requested to take dogs on a walk, I do, and I tend to spend an hour to, however, long with the animal to ensure connection!

About: Hi, I’m Alec. I’ve been around dogs and cats for over 20 years, and what sets me apart is my drive and hunger to provide the best care possible. I don’t just “watch” pets—I stay engaged, attentive, and focused on their comfort and safety. I take pride in being dependable, consistent, and going the extra step so your pets are well cared for every time. My schedule as a 1099 contractor is very flexible, and outside of work my routine is mostly going to the gym, spending time with family, and occasionally taking vacations. Because of that flexibility, pet care fits naturally into my lifestyle—I can easily adjust my time and prioritize pet sitting when needed. I’m reliable, attentive, and committed to making sure every pet feels safe, comfortable, and well cared for while their owners are away. I will care for pets in a calm, safe, and attentive environment, whether in my home or the client’s home. I make sure their basic needs are always met, including feeding on schedule, providing fresh water, regular potty breaks, and daily exercise like walks and playtime. In my home, I keep the space clean, quiet, and pet-friendly so animals feel comfortable and stress-free. In a client’s home, I follow their routine closely so the pet feels secure in a familiar environment and experiences as little disruption as possible.

About: I have taken care of senior dogs who require medicine doses and health monitoring. I have also cared for very young puppies and kittens who have needed to be bottle fed. I foster kittens a lot and it truly is so rewarding to see them grow healthy and enjoy life. I have had pets at my home and I have house sat and kept an eye on pets. I just graduated high school May 2026 so I have a lot of free time. I wake up early in the morning and just do tasks around the house. I am home full time right now. I have siblings but more importantly one 9 year old brother who is gentle with animals and understands how they should be treated. I have a lot of free time on my hands and i am very flexible so any routine a pet already has at your home can also be matched with me. I also am able to drive. Our backyard is fenced and we do not have any permanent pets in the home right now. We do sometimes have foster pups or kittens which are kept in a bedroom that has a code lock on it so they can be nursed to good health in peace.

Haley was amazing with Sirius. I had a work emergency out of state and needed someone to walk Sirius during the day while the husband is at work. Luckily, Haley agreed to walk Sirius. She gave him care and attention when I was far away and sent photos during the walks. Would highly recommend Haley and definitely will book her again. Thanks so much for taking care of our pup.

During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy.
