About: I began to offer pet-sitting to friends and family just for some dog breath and tail wags in my life after my dog passed away. A family member told me about Rover and - here I am! My childhood dog was one of my best friends. We would play together for hours and I was responsible to feed, bathe, and clean up after him. He loved belly rubs and going with us on family walks. When my childhood dog was attacked, I was the one who flushed and cleaned his wounds, changed his bandages, and nursed him back to health after he came home from the vet. He became diabetic when he grew old and I gave him his insulin shots. As an adult, I adopted a pit-mix rescue and we enjoyed obedience training, going to the dog park, car rides for a pup cup, going for walks, and playing tug-of-war. At 14 years old, he was diagnosed with an oral tumor and he needed lots of extra care during his last months. He needed medication 3 times a day, a specialized diet when it became difficult for him to eat kibble, and eventually hand-feeding for him to be able to eat at all. He passed away 14 years old. I wouldn't trade one minute. In addition to dogs, I've taken care of geckos, an iguana, fish, water turtles, parakeets and cockatiels. I'm happy to care for any type of animal. I'm currently working part-time in the morning and would love to spend my afternoons with animals. If you need someone to care for your pet mid-day, we're the perfect match. I provide care where your pet feels safest - in their own home environment. Please leave me detailed instructions so I know where to find their food and food bowl, leash, toys, medications, etc. If you have spacial boundaries for your pet such as not being allowed on the couch or bed, in specific rooms, or if they are outside-dog only, etc., please let me know so I can respect and enforce those boundaries.

I look forward to caring for your sweet animals!:) I currently work part time and am home quite a bit so I have ample time to spend with your dog. If needed, I can easily crate your pup. I always supervise playtime, ensure pets have fresh water, and give them plenty of love and attention so they feel comfortable and secure while you’re away. I would like them to roam freely around the house unless specified otherwise. The goal is to try and recreate their normal routine, so they feel at home.
