Nicole has been fantastic to work with. Our fur baby is such an important part of the family, we are always cautious of whoever is caring for her. Nicole is not only very kind & professional, but also reliable and flexible. She administers our pups medications, spends quality time playing/walking her, and also has been kind enough to clean her up if she happens to get dirty. Our dog loves her! I can’t rave about her enough, we are so grateful to have found her! 10/10 recommend!

About: I am a Marine Corps Veteran. During my time in I always lived with friends that had dogs and cats. I bonded with every single one of them. It wasn’t until I got out recently that I finally chose my fur baby (to be honest, he chose me ☺️). I rescued him last year, and we have watched watch tv together every single night since. His name is Banana Boat. Aside from my own baby, I absolutely love dogs and cats. All shapes, and sizes, I love them all. I am a pretty much a full time student nowadays, I go to class Monday-Thursday. I have a small side business where I make plaques and signs, and other art pieces. I have a pretty flexible schedule Whatever needs to be done, I’ll ensure it gets done. Whether it’s for your house and or fur baby I was in the Marine Corps for 10 plus years, following orders was engrained in me lol.

About: I’ve owned dogs for the past 20 years. I’ve watched multiple friends and family dogs for them. I’m an animal lover. I just prefer dogs because I’m allergic to cats, even though I own two outside. I’ve worked with rescuers and fosters to help out in the community. This side job would fill my heart just loving your fur baby. I have 5 animals, 2 dogs, 2 cats, and a chameleon. They are spoiled babies. I have to make sure they are taken care of on a daily basis. I would love them! I would play with them, walk them, feed them, whatever needed. In my home my animals are spoiled on a daily basis.

Shima has been awesome. Brice loves her daily walks and we didn't have to miss her walks while we were in town for the holidays. Shima was very accommodating around the weather and timing of the walks and it is clear that Brice enjoys her time with Shima. Thank you so much, we will be back in touch next time we are in the area.

About: Since a young age I've been caring for animals of all sizes. Whether it was finding a small homeless kitten and nursing it back to health at 7 years old, to starting my own dog walking service at 8, to currently working in an animal hospital caring for patients. Animals have always been a huge part of my life. My family has always known this was the field for me and I wouldn't change a thing. Even the most difficult animals deserve love, attention, and comfort. Big or small, I love them all. :) My current schedule varies between hours and days. Feel free with any questions or concerns you may have! Thank you so much for your time! i hope to hear from you shortly! I part time at a dental office, so this gives me more time to spend with your furbabies and sending updates on their staycation at home! Any updates to my schedule and I will immediately notify you. I have a fenced in large yard. My pets are crate trained but also enjoy company of friends! If your pet needs a more socially limited time, I am happy to accommodate that as well.

About: Hi, I'm Kerry, and I've been a devoted animal lover and caregiver my whole life. My journey with animals began when I was young, and my love for dogs and cats has only grown stronger over the years. When I turned 18, I adopted three adorable kittens who became a significant part of my life. I nurtured them with love and care, and they lived happily and healthily for over 21 years. This experience taught me the importance of providing consistent, loving care and the joy of sharing life with animals. With 30 years of experience in animal care, I have honed my skills in various areas, including sensory enrichment, administering medication, and providing subcutaneous fluids. Whether it's engaging your dogs and cats in stimulating activities or ensuring they receive their medications on time, you can count on me to handle it all with expertise and compassion. I understand that every animal is unique, and I tailor my care to meet their individual needs. I adore animals and treat each one as if they were my own, ensuring they feel loved, safe, and happy in my care. Your furry friends will receive the best attention and affection while you're away. Choosing an animal sitter is an important decision, and I want to assure you that your dogs and cats will be in the best hands with me. I look forward to meeting you and your beloved animals and providing them with the exceptional care they deserve. Thank you for considering me as your trusted animal sitter! As a small business owner, I have a flexible schedule that allows me to provide top-notch care for your cats. My days and hours are adaptable, ensuring I can accommodate your needs and be there for your fur babies when you need me. Whether daily visits, quick walks and check-ins, or anything in between, I can fit pet care seamlessly into my routine. When caring for your animals in your home, I ensure they feel comfortable and secure in their familiar environment. I follow your routine closely, providing consistent feeding, playtime, and cuddle sessions. I engage your animals with sensory enrichment activities to keep them mentally and physically stimulated. My goal is to make sure your animals are happy and well-cared for, just as if you were there.

About: A safe, clean home away from home, where every dog is treated like family. With lots of love, personalized attention, and help from my loyal German Shepherd, assistant, Lucy, your pup will feel right at home! But sets me apart from others is I can help crate dogs, potty train, to giving them their meds and walking them with a ginger lead for those elderly ones. I am currently working less than part-time. And for me, there’s no better way to spend that free time than with dogs. I also include them in my daily tasks. Every Dog’s comfort level is respected. I have both large and small crates available for dogs who are crate trained or whose owners prefer scheduled crate time (up to 90 minutes per day). I also use an indoor playpen and separate areas within the home to create healthy boundaries. Allow for quiet rest periods and ensure all dogs remain comfortable and safe. My goal is to provide personalized care, maintain each dog routine as closely as possible, and create a calm, loving environment, where pets feel secure, happy and part of the family while you’re away. It might be cliché, but I treat every dog as if it was my own.

About: I’ve grown up training dogs, learning about their behaviors, and researching the best ways to care for them. They’re my all- time favorite animals, so I love spending my time with them :) I live on a few acres in Liberty Hill, with a few intact male dogs on the property; along with poultry, livestock, and other livestock guardian dogs. I currently work in the mornings, so my own dogs are let outside to play in my yard while I am out. They’re not destructive or escapees, so they have the special privileges now :) I have a very large fenced in yard with lots of toys and extra space outside to walk, with the entire property fenced. There are a few intact male dogs, so I don’t accept any intact male dogs for safety reasons. I have two extra crates to use if necessary while I am running an errand.

About: As a dedicated animal lover, I stand out with my deep understanding of canine/human interaction, and I offer personalized care tailored to each dog's needs. I am an expert handler of various breeds, administering medication, and creating a stress-free environment for your pet. With a genuine love for dogs and a knack for anticipating their needs, I ensure your pet feels safe, loved, and entertained while you're away. I have two dogs of my own, Rocky, a 5.5 yr old Belgian Malinois, and Lola, a 3 yr old Golden Retriever/Border Collie mix. Your pet will have all of the fun they can handle and will leave with 3 new best friends! I work from home 5 days a week and have incredible flexibility. I am home most of the of the time and when I am not, I am usually not too far away for too long. I can provide breaks and all the attention your pet needs almost anytime needed. I have 2 dogs to help keep your pups happy. Lola is the friendliest girl with lots of energy and an unrelenting desire to make new friends everywhere she goes. Rocky, is a retired police k9 who has the perfect balance of energy and calmness to welcome any new pup into our home. I routinely let them outside to play and use the restroom at a minimum of once every 2 hours. My pets are allowed anywhere in the house. It is two stories with multiple rooms so there are always places for them to have space if they need it. There are plenty of beds, toys, and friends to play with while they are here! I do have two large kennels that I never use, but if your pet prefers to sleep in a kennel in its own space, I am happy to provide that for them. Otherwise, they will be free to relax wherever they would like.

Whether you want a solo or group walk depends on your dog's personality. Solo walks can be beneficial for dog parents with reactive dogs, puppies, or dogs who are anxious around unfamiliar animals. Many dog walkers on Rover offer private, one-on-one walking services.

Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Oatmeal. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.

For dog walking services, you can request a report card update with specifics about your dog’s walk. Report cards require photos and can include a map of the walking route , total walk time, poop and pee breaks, and distance traveled, so you know exactly where your dog has been walking in Oatmeal.

Got specific details you'd like the dog walker to include? Message them in the app before your dog’s walk begins.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

Yes, you can find walkers who have experience with handling special pet needs in Oatmeal. On Rover:

  • 93% of walkers can help with special care needs
  • 95% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 97% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
