About: I’ve cared for dogs of all sizes, ages and care needs. I’ve helped family, friends, neighbors and private clients with walks, drop-ins, sitting and bathing. From caring for litters of 11 puppies to managing up to 8 dogs at a time in the home, I am well equipped to help you care for your pups. My experience working in a veterinary setting has set me up to help manage medication administration and postoperative care. I care for pets full time. I have openings for walks and drop-ins early mornings, late afternoons and evenings Monday-Saturday. My availability for sitting is pretty open at the moment. I care for your pets according to your pet’s regular schedule and individual needs. I’m very patient and like to go at your pet’s pace. I’m always honored when I have the opportunity to help folks care for their beloved animals and treat both their home environment and their care needs the same way I do with my own - with kindness, consideration, integrity and respect.
“Shima has been awesome. Brice loves her daily walks and we didn't have to miss her walks while we were in town for the holidays. Shima was very accommodating around the weather and timing of the walks and it is clear that Brice enjoys her time with Shima. Thank you so much, we will be back in touch next time we are in the area.”

“Jessica was wonderful with Nala! She was dependable, communicative, and readily available whenever needed. She even offered to take Nala to the vet, which gave me tremendous peace of mind. I would gladly book Jessica again and highly recommend her!”

About: I grew up with a wide variety of animals but especially cats and dogs. I’ve been dog sitting and walking as a side hustle since freshman year of high school in 2016. I moved out and got certified as a wag walker in early 2023. It’s been a great side hustle over the years and I’ve picked up additional skills like training and grooming. I also have two cats as an adult. What has changed currently is leaving my full time job in hopes of connecting with things I love like animals. My parents no longer live in state and I miss my dog friends. I make my own schedule and most of my income is currently from pet care. Open to odd jobs and odd hours, genuinely love the work. I have diagnosed ocd so if you give me a list I will stick to it. I try to go above and beyond when it comes to care and that extra step. Bonding with the animal and understanding their specific personality is highly important to me.
“Thank you for working around the weather we had this week to ensure that Brice got her daily walks in. Her walk is an important part of her daily routine. We will reach out to schedule walks the next time we are in town !”

“We had Adriene help out for 2 hours of dog care in separate walks for 2 very large Leonbergers that she had never met. The boys were well taken care of during the day. She was very responsive and communicated frequently during the day. Thank you!”

About: I’ve cared for dogs my entire life and I also learned how to care for them at a young age. I’m very patient with animals and I also learned how to train my own dogs. In the beginning, it was harder to potty train them but I learned a lot of patience with them. It’s important to give animals your attention especially when they’re learning to do something new. I am looking for other part time jobs but at this moment my main focus is with Rover. I’m available almost any day and time you might need me. I’m currently renting at a home and there is no fence but I can definitely take the fur babies out for walks frequently. It’s no problem having them inside and I’m very respectful when going to other people’s homes as well.
About: New to Rover but caring for pets and homes locally as if they were my own has been part of my life for years. I know how important it is to trust the person you’re leaving your pets with and I take that to heart. I’m patient, reliable, and pay close attention to the little things that keep pets happy and homes feeling cared for. I have experience with dogs and cats of all ages, including playful puppies and gentle senior pets who may need extra time, medications, or a softer touch. I’m comfortable handling different routines, personalities, and special needs. Beyond pet care, I’m respectful of your home and keep everything tidy so you return to a space that feels just the way you left it—or a little better! Pet care fits seamlessly into my daily life because I work remotely from home. That means I’m around throughout the day for walks, potty breaks, meals, playtime, and plenty of companionship. My flexible schedule allows me to stick closely to each pet’s normal routine, whether they need extra attention, medication, or just a reassuring presence. Having animals around just makes my days better, so it never feels like a job to me. When I’m staying in a client’s home, I keep pets on their normal routine so they feel safe and comfortable. That means regular meals, walks, playtime, and as many snuggles as they can stand:)

About: I've been caring for animals for years, both my own and those of friends and family, and I truly enjoy getting to know each pet's unique personality. I currently have two indoor cats, including one I rescued as a tiny feral kitten, so I understand the importance of patience, building trust, and creating a safe environment. Whether your pet is energetic, shy, young, or senior, I'll care for them as if they were my own and keep you updated every step of the way. I know how hard it can be to leave your pets behind, so my goal is to give you peace of mind by providing reliable, attentive care and plenty of updates while you're away. I work full-time from home with a flexible schedule, which allows me to provide attentive care throughout the day rather than only before and after work. My daily routine already revolves around caring for my own pets, so adding visits, walks, playtime, feedings, or check-ins fits in naturally. I have the flexibility to accommodate morning, midday, evening, and weekend care, and I prioritize keeping each pet's routine as consistent as possible. Whether your pet needs companionship, medication, or simply someone to make sure everything is just right while you're away, I'll provide dependable care and regular updates for your peace of mind. I understand that inviting someone into your home—and trusting them with your pet—is a big decision. I treat every home with the same respect and care I would expect for my own, following your instructions closely and maintaining your pet's routine to help them feel comfortable and secure. I'll make sure doors, gates, and windows are secure, keep food, water, litter boxes, and living areas clean, and pay close attention to any changes in behavior or health. You'll receive regular updates with photos, and if anything seems out of the ordinary, I'll communicate with you promptly. My goal is to provide dependable, stress-free care so you can enjoy your time away knowing your pet and home are in good hands.
“Lela is absolutely fantastic! We use her ever week for our dog walking needs and she is always timely, communicative and leaves us a detailed report card for the walks. Our pups absolutely love Lela and we would recommend her for any needs for your dog! Additionally she goes above and beyond to ensure we’re up-to-date on anything we need to know and is flexible when scheduling conflicts arise. You won’t be disappointed when connecting with Lela!”

“Amiah came through LAST MINUTE and exceeded all the expectations I had. She took great care of my dog and was extremely easy to get ahold of and has great communication skills. I am grateful we connected and am looking forward to working with her more in the future.”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
