Dog Walkers in Norwood, VA

About: I’ve been walking dogs and doing check ins for family pets since middle school! I am currently a pre-vet student at JMU, but I spend my summers home in Earlysville. I would say this has been a “serious” job of mine since I started highschool. I’ve spent a few days a week for the past few summers pet sitting. I’m new to the app because I’ve been so lucky to have a lot of regular clients, and was then recommended to their friends. I’m just trying to expand my client pool as much as possible:) I have 3 dogs of my own, and one of them lives with me in my college apartment. I’ve had dogs all my life, but I also currently shadow at a vets office, work with the animal health team at the RHSPCA, and volunteer at the VA wildlife center. I absolutely love all animals and would be thrilled to meet new furry friends! I will be shadowing at the vet 3 days a week, but only until 1pm. On those days I am free in the afternoon to check on your pets! Most weekends, along with days I am not doing that, I can set aside time to come see your pets:) I will readily follow whatever instructions you may have. I am used to taking dogs on walks, but also fine with just letting them out in your yard and chilling on the couch. Whatever you and your pet need, I’m sure we can make it work:)

About: I have a deep love for all animals and have several rescue pets of my own. I have experience with puppies and senior dogs as well as kittens and more mature cats. I believe in treating animals with kindness and taking care of them to the best of my abilities. I am generally available during the week midday but can also do some drop ins during the morning and evening. My schedule is fairly flexible. I am also available on select weekends. I am available for dog walks or drop-in services for dogs or cats in your home, subject to your needs and comfort level. My goal is to make both pet owners and their pets comfortable.

About: I've cared for dogs by walking, hiking, taking them to dog parks, swimming all because I truly enjoy their company and respect their needs to interact and exercise. I work full-time and can accommodate requests with a days notice. I commute to the city for work so I'm flexible with location and hit all the parks and trails. I enjoy treating your dog to a new hike on the trail, swimming in the lakes or river in the summer and social gatherings at the dog parks.

About: I have loved dogs since I was a kid! I recently have been working as a nanny and that has involved light care for pets as well, my current duties are walking the two dogs and feeding them treats and filling water bowls. I am very loving and caring. My previous job involved feeding and letting the pup out in the back yard to play and to help keep track of certain habits due to the dog having food allergies. Dogs are allowed on all of my furniture but will follow any house rules provided.

About: Hi! My name is Riley and I'm a 21-year-old nursing student originally from South Carolina. Animals have always been a huge part of my life. I grew up on a farm raising and caring for different animals, so caretaking has always come naturally to me. As of now, I have 4 dogs back at home and 1 dog currently residing with me. What sets me apart is my lifelong experience with all types of animals, my reliability, and how much I truly love caring for them. I understand how important it is to find someone to trust with your pets. I'm very communicative, respectful of each pet's/owner's unique needs, and can confidently handle anything from a laid-back walk to giving medications or handling multiple pets simultaneously. My schedule currently consists of 2 classes on Tuesdays from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm, and two separate clinicals every Wednesday at 6:30 am until 3:00 pm (from January 28th until April 1st), and every Monday (from February 2nd until March 2nd) at 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. I live near the college campus, surrounded by hiking trails and parks which is perfect for daily walks, outdoor adventures, and plenty of playtime. Making sure your pet feels safe, loved, and cared for is always my #1 priority. Whether caring for pets in my home or yours, I focus on creating a safe, comfortable, and loving environment. I follow each pet’s usual routine as closely as possible, including their feeding schedule, exercise needs, and any special instructions you provide. I make sure they get plenty of attention, playtime, and exercise, whether it’s relaxing at home, going for walks, playing in the dog park, or exploring nearby trails. In my home, your pet will also have the opportunity to socialize with my own friendly dog, who loves making new pup friends. About: Hi there! My name is Mary and I'm a lifelong dog lover with years of hands-on experience caring for pups of all shapes, sizes, and personalities. Fun fact—my very first job was walking dogs around my neighborhood! From the start, I knew working with animals would always be part of my life. I currently have a sweet and spunky 10-year-old Cavalier King Charles mix who keeps me on my toes—and on the couch for cuddles as well! I also grew up with lovable labs and helped raise my sister’s energetic Cavapoo, so I’m no stranger to high-energy dogs, senior pups, or those who need a little extra TLC. During the school year, I work as a middle school Language Arts teacher, but my summer schedule is wide open—perfect for giving your dog the attention, playtime, and care they deserve.
